I have a k24 Honda accord 8th gen sitting I’m waiting for my son to become old enough to drive. The transmission is out. But your videos have inspired me to go ahead fix the rattle noise from faulty valve and to install the k20 oil pump. Is there a noticeable difference in horsepower after the oil pump has been installed?

Just want to make sure that I got this correct, the k20 oil pump chain will use in place of the k24? Another thing is I'm planning on doing a k20/k24 frank as far as timing chain which one would I have to use? K20 or k24 or it doesn't matter. Thanks.

I have a k20a euro r, and the pump looks like the k24 pumps, but the pickup baffle is preventing me from running a steel pan. I'm fresh outof money so I can afford a type s pump right now. Is it possible to just take that baffle cap on the pickup off and swap it for a k24 style one that's shallower so my pan fits? Cant find the answer anywhere
