Look on Amazon for barn door floor guide wheels. They attach to the baseboard and a small wheel goes in front of and behind the door. It makes the operation a lot smoother than the groove on the bottom of the door with the piece attached to the floor. Ive built three barn doors for my house with just plywood but they were all painted. It works great. They are $19.97

Logan Brown thanks! Yea we were hoping to get it as close as possible to the island walnut top. It’s not perfect but I think after having it a few months we are happy that there are some slight variances to make sure the room doesn’t all look one color! Good luck with your build!

He routed in a channel with a rabbeting bit. Would have been very tough to dado a sheet of plywood like that.

Harki Dodia we thought about it - but that would have been a larger renovation to tackle we weren’t prepared to do and we like the contrast of the wood against the otherwise large white wall where nothing else besides wall art could really go. Thanks for watching!

Carl F yup! We were super precise with everything. The fridge is 3 inches off the wall and the door closes 2 inches against it. You can open the full right door with the door close but if you feel like it mentally bothers you it also can slide in a second or two and open up the entire space. Either way - not a hinderance. Not a fan at all of this style of "collaboration". Which btw, is not a collab if only one person did it. If I'm subcribed to a channel it's bc I like that creator/content NOT some other persons. In this case, I'm also subscribed to The Cutting Bored however I'm expecting Crafted Workshop/Johnny Squat content NOT Zach content where the most decent thing his built (both physically and project wise) is a kitchen island. Very deceiving not even stated on the title as I'm sure you wouldn't have received many views. It's like me ordering a festool miter saw online and getting a Ryobi one. Both will do the same, but one of them is higher quality & you're paying way more for a reason. For some of us, it's about quality not quantity. I would have enjoyed and liked this better if indeed it was a true collab with both of y'all working side by side, like your other collabs with Chris, ZH, Mike, Seth, Woodbrew... Maybe why at this point there's 63 (and counting) dislikes. Don't become like Grant from TKOR where he doesn't even host or anything else anymore. My rant should be a compliment to you and your craftsmanship btw.

I announced that Zach would be joining the channel via the Community tab a few weeks ago, so it shouldn't be a surprise. Zach, to me, represents another skill level and provides another set of options for people who might not have all of the fancy tools I have. This is not a collab, Zach is producing videos as part of Crafted Workshop, imagine him as a member of the Crafted team. I will still be hosting the lion's share of the videos, but I am definitely going to have Zach as part of my content moving forward.
