Built another poker table. It has been about 15 years since I build the last one and I wanted to build another one to have two tables so I could host a larger group. Let me know if you have any questions of comments below.

I've been wanting to make a poker table for quite a while and I've watched so many different builds on RU-vid, but yours is my favorite so far because it feels the most realistic for us everyday folk! Really appreciate the upload and the table looks great!

Thank you - I look back now and think it could have been more detailed without adding too much. Glad you enjoyed it.

Table looks great! Love the racetrack build. One criticism I have on the video is the background music during your build. I found it distracting and would rather have no background noise

Nice. I bet that tread mill was glad to be used. LOL

Your table looks great. May I ask how many hours it took and approx price for materials. I really want to do this, but don't play enough to really justify it. Also, I am guessing it takes up a good bit of storage. Anyway, great video!!! and end product.

I spent about $300 in materials. It took me about 8 to 10 total hours (minus the time to let the poly dry). If you build one without a race track (no wood edge just cloth all the way out) it would take a about 5 hours total I would guess. Really not that bad of the time investment for the return on a nice table to play on. I am guessing if you build a nice table for $200 - $300 in materials you could sell for $400 - $500 fairly easy and more if you go fancy.

Very nice build! I have a question about the foam under the speed textile. I was wondering what foam have you used? For my build I was thinking of thick neoprene. Thanks !

I used an 1/8" closed cell foam.

The foam most on line poker suppliers carry is called Volara, it’s a really dense foam sheet product.

how did you attach the race track and playing surface to the support piece?

The race track and the center part are both 1/4" thick and attached to a 3/4" piece under it. On the center I used 1" screws from the bottom up because even if the tip poked through a hair, the rubber would prevent you from feeling it. The race trace got a few 7/8" screws from the underside plus the foam rail sits on it so it really does not move at all with that.

Racetracks are trash. Do a full felt with a 1 inch raised rail with a diffuser and a custom felt. Do it right or don’t do a channel

Racetracks look cool, but they're not really player friendly. Chips slide too easily on them, and you will encounter problems pushing stacks from your position, onto the cloth. For serious players, i wouldn't do a racetrack, but for occasional home games, it looks nice and fancy. It really depends on preference, but I wouldn't go off the deep end about it, like that other guy did, lol!
