Thank you so much for this video. I am a DIY'er and purchased a w12. So far bringing this beauty back to life and saving it from someone who hacked up the engine trying to work on it. Next up oil change and tune up
I ADORE the Phaeton. I always have. I almost bought one a couple years ago. One day I'll buy one, probably after I drive the wheels of my 2010 S5 4.2. But dear GOD what a hassle it looks like to change the oil! :D Is there a dipstick spout you can siphon the oil from using an extractor, possibly to avoid removing the wheel and engine/wheel covers? Or do you HAVE to remove everything ANYWAY to get to the filter?
+Jween Tech for the W12, you have to drain at the bottom. there are baffles in the crank case that doesn't allow you to extract all the oil out through the top. plus, the filter is on the bottom as well.
man i like this car very much .. but what concerns me is the maintenance. freaks me out $$$$$ the cash doesn't come easy . not buying it . mostly maintaining it . am i exaggerating .. ?!! if any one owns that car and can give me idea on how much does breaks cost. belts and other mechanical accessory . please let me know your maintenance expenses experience. it is very valuable. to know the facts before buying it . thank you all for the effort .
+weipulee the cabin filters are on the hood. one on each side. you can open the filter housing by pulling the tabs perpendicularly away from the hood. the filter caps hinged at the bottom edge of the housing.
