I’m freaking 62 and still pumping this and all the old school stuff HARD !!! Because in my mind I’m still young !!!! Cranking it out in my 1967 Firebird convertible in San Francisco! 💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡
As long as we keep bringing it to the front it will always be heard real hip-hop heads don't follow the trash that's out now,,, I see a lot of young ones react to the old school and they love it and I'm loving that they loving it
I'm 50 yrs old and STILL jamming to this song! I used to beat down the block to this song back when it came out, in my 81 GMC rocking two 10" Blue Thunders and my Punch 100 amp! Guess what . . . I'm still rocking out in my 2012 Silverado with two 10" Alpine Type S and Bazooka 600 amp! 🤣🤣🤣 No shame in my game! 😎👍
@@irpk239 to me, the idea of someone being 50 and listening to this stuff was unfathomable back in the day. Don't let size fool you. Speakers and box design have gotten a lot better in 30 years. I can get down to a solid 38Hz with my current car stereo and it uses tiny 6" drivers with very good boxes mounted behind the front of the front footwells. Sure, you don't feel it as much as you would with a larger driver but the sound is there. Haven't bothered measuring the SPL but it makes it above 105dB which is more than enough for me. I have hearing loss already so I don't need to add more to it.
My daughter is 18. When she turned 16 we bought her a 2013 Nissan Juke. I replaced all her factory speakers, stereo and added 10” powered under seat woofers. I dialed it all in and she played “her music” w bass. Nothing was hitting or working her new speakers. None of what she listens to had any worthy bass. I pulled out my phone w “MY SONGS” (IM 46) and played DJ Magic Mike, Nemesis and the like. That little Juke was thumping just fine. I think for the first time she was impressed by her old mans music. Lol Brought back good memories hearing this music again.
Great story bud, it hit me right in the feelers. I love hearing these from people. The bond it creates is unbreakable and brings us all together a little more. Thank you for sharing!
Dee B. Right on, lol....as an update; about a month ago I played “my Cadillac “ for her. I bet she’s played it 50x since then. I hear it playing in her room, her car, the shower - everywhere. She’s also picked up more like it from the 80s. In fact she has her own 80s rap, 80s bass & 80s metal playlists..lol i was impressed.
I had a juke 2 years ago and stock rockford fosgate system was nice never listened to this son on it though I sadly caught on fire due to fuel pressure sensor recall before I could even upgrade internals. R.I.P
I worked with Laz and mike would drop by couple times a month and we they got together that sh*t was dope it’s one of the things I miss and about south Florida
I remember in 1991 riding around with 2 Pyramid 12"s in the trunk with a 500w Boss amp blasting this . We had the best set up you could put together from the flea market in Tampa. That's back before kids, mortgages, wives. That's back when bass ruled the streets .
My brother passed away from a massive heart attach when he was 36 years old. Reminiscing and listening to Dj Magic Mike, Sir mix a lot, and all the old songs we used to bump to up and down the cruise in Lawton, OK, kinda makes me feel like his spirit is with me listening to the hard bass hits from the old days!!!
1990 Orlando 🔥🔥🔥 right here! Loved going to High School & livin in O-town back then. Every fly car with no LESS than 2 - 16" indiv speakers in the trunk Boomin The Original DJ Magic Mike & T Hasaam, then rollin to Daytona fresh on the sand.....the girlies didn't stand a chance 😎
HELLZ 2 THE YA... I'M FROM O•TOWN 2, I REMEMBER BACK IN THE DAY'S WHEN ALL THE LOWRIDERS WOULD MEET UP BY THE FASHION SQUARE MALL.... NOTHING BUT BASS 🔊 IN YO FACE.... LOL ... I WENT TO UNIVERSITY HIGHSCHOOL (EAST ORLANDO) AND WE LOVED THE LOWRIDER COMPETITION'S.... MISS THEM GOOD OL'SCHOOL DAY'S...
I'm from the treasure coast, palm city, and this was jamming back in the day. I went to a DJ Magic Mike show that was in a school gymnasium and it was lit way back then lol fun times those 80's and 90's were.
I was in Florida in the 90s at a stereo competition and I hear this deep bass way off in distance over everything else . An I hear it for awhile like who is that an 4or 5 vehicles come in I think one was a Mercedes and all said dj magic Mike . Was the shit. But I'll never forget the Nissan truck had orion 2250s 4or 5 of them an 16 12s in an octagon box in back with JL audio.
I bought ever single album magic Mike put out when I was 13 and 14 today I'm 46 I was into battle rapping and rocking my technique mk1200's with my djm 400 mixer with all my dj rektangle vinyl samples and beats having Hella fun. I miss those days.
BROOOOO ADE was so dope!! Love magic and all the old Bass era groups. Brings back memories of me high jacking my mothers Oldsmobile, tossing a Jenson 300 watt amp in it after school on a Friday and putting my box that had two 12 inch Pyramid Phase 3 dual voice coil subs in the trunk and just beating down the block over the weekend only to have to rip it all out before she took the car back on Monday, or before my dad caught it on Sunday…😂😂😭💀
I'm from Harlem NY and grew up with a bunch of break dancers and I will tell you these guys are dam good. I will give them props and I enjoyed watching them. I miss those days, wish I can turn back the clock. I am 51 now and wish I can still do that without breaking a bone.
I can remember pulling into the highschool parking lot blasting this on 2 rockford 15 & 2 cerwin vegas 12s screws and bolts be rattling loose . Lol the good ol days
HELLA!! I had 2 MTX 15's is the Firebird on my channel pounding this CD I still have! My stage monitors in our highschool metal band were 1974 Cerwin Vegas, lol.. };o)
That's back when times were good. NO Facebook no social media bulshit just real ass people! Could remember being sponsored by Cerwin Vega strokers 18 four of them on for Orion XTR 22500 aka the Beast amps! Shout out to all the people that grew up in the early 80s late 80s 90s because what we did could never be duplicated! Everybody have a blessed day peace
I remember the 90s. People could be just as fake or real. People haven't changed, just the tools. All social media did is make the fakes and morons more visible.
In 1991 I met a young solider coming back from Desert Storm on McDill AFB. Today we were reminiscing as we laughed about dancing to this beat 29 years ago. November will be 29 years we still dancing!
Still put this on when I want to reminisce. I had a custom box with 2- 12 inch 1000 watt jbl. I had a Rockford Fosgate punch 150 on each speaker and a nice Kenwood running all my Boston acoustic mids and highs. This was my go to in order to wake you up. So much fun during a much simpler time.
This song or anything #DjMagicMike will never get old! I've been setting my amps and banging to this since I was 15 years old, I'm now 41. The break dancing brings back great memories from childhood😎 In bass we stand, Bass on everyone!!
I'm 50 playing this to my two nieces ,,age 12 and 15 . When I first started popping and locking. And to my nephew who is 5.You should see their reaction...to this being played . Lol
*Living* through that *era* was a *wonderful* experience. 12'', 15'', 18'' woofers amps 1000 and beyond,I remember walking into Hoopers Audio and seeing the Rockford Fosgate Power 1000 Mosfet Terminator Edition Amp! ...............................................I will be a *Bass* *Head* till the day I *die*.
I first Dropped The Bass in the 90's on Cassette. Then I Dropped it in the Millennium on CD. Then I dropped it in the 2010s on MP3. Now I'm Dropping it from the Cloud.
Busted out the ass of my Guess jeans time after time ,Droppin!! " in the club! This still gets me going and now my 18 and 8 yrs old have such a huge variety of music , Droppin and dancing keeps a family together and happy..
My brother 1st played this in his car and made me sit in the backseat to feel the vibrations from his speakers. Bout choked me lol. He had the loudest stereo in town. White boy wit tha bass. Damn good ole days. R.I.P BIG BRO 💖
Heck yeah it does. Rolling in a Mazda 626 with four 10” kickers, four Pioneers 3-way, eight tweeters, all playing from an Alpine deck. Man those were the days. I miss it
My 13 year old daughter listens to that silly sound they put out today. She is now the age I was when I started listening to Too Short, Eazy E, MC ADE, Whodini, 2 Live Crew, The Egyptian Lover, Slick Rick, and many other great's! I have her listen so she understands the true art it took to master the beat and lyrical flow. She is a softball pitcher (I was too). I tell her while in the circle feel this beat and drop the Bass on them! \m/
I'm 43. Grew up in Panama City, FL and bumped this so much I nearly blew the Pioneer 12's out. Although I learned that the west coast low-rider scene was considered the Low-Life, in circles of Bassheads in my town, hitting those sub-sonics was living the Low life. Nemesis - Munchies for your Bass is a favorite of mine, but Magic Mike and that insane scratching will always be the dopest! Here's to the Bassheads, may we drop it till we die! :D
I'm 42 playing this for my 3 kids walk in and start jamming age 9 7 2 especially the 2 yr old she can't stop dancing. She says daddy I'm dancing. Makes me feel good they love this type of music. I don't even play this new crap in my house but they hear from being out and about but they don't move. I play stuff like this or something like earth wind and fire and they go bezerk. I'm so glad I gave them music that feels good and have a message
I remember back in the day in 1989 listening to Mike and the posse, I was 16 then and here I am at 41 still tunnin in to listen after all these years but much much respect for these guys keeping it real and freestyle clean.. God these songs take me back lol
Man I remember in early 90s bumpin magic Mike packed like sardines in a car with friends riding all over the city here in Jacksonville Florida!!!! Yeah magic Mike was the king of DJ BUMP MUSIC,, BASED IN ORLANDO FLORIDA!!✌
I have a 13 year old girl and she love the music like this that I used to beat. I put this song on in my tahoe with my one sundown 18 U and shook the ground
No one won this dance battle by the way. They all have MAD skills! My era right here.. I really miss seeing folks battle rapn and breakin in the streets. Fresh to deaf!! 🇵🇷🤘🏾
I was one of the 1st in my town to bump this!! After I came bumping to this at school and everyone heard it hitting hard, the other.few. bassheads wsnt and bought this. Ahhhhhh the cassette days 😂🤣
One of my proudest moments: playing dj magic mike, 3 cars behind my friend at a red light, and him reporting later that I was shaking his rear view mirror.
I thought we were good back in the day. You guys these days are AMAZING! absolutely fuckin killin it! To all you new Bboys, keep on killin it and never stop our tradition. Much Respect ✊
He's a favorite of mine. It's the experience of hearing him in cars with 10 and 12 inch woofers and stacked amps that really brings it back to my physical memory. My body remembers Magic Mike.
Man this song mixed with "blow your house down" takes me back to my youth in Detroit.. My cousin making up dance routines in the front yard.. I miss those days❤
I'm 49yrs old, and when I was 17, Dj Magic Mike is the reason I put two 15"s in my apple green 1970 Chevrolet Impala! I was a teen in the late 80s/early 90s, and Growing up in Atlanta, we were heavily influenced by Miami bass music! If you were black and grew up in the south around that time, having a old school Dunk with 30 spoke cragers and vogues with 15"s in the back, was a lifestyle in the hood! Dj Magic Mike's music was a big part of my teen years! This music brings back so many memories of cruising the city with my boys, bumping Mike on the stereo, trying to get girls numbers! You know, just being a kid, living life without a real care in the world! What I wouldn't give, to go back to those days! 😒
Exactly they’re hatin on shit they know nothin about. Here’s how it is nowadays, if everybody don’t like it or has thousands of thumbs up then they don’t like it but if everyone likes it and that’s the “new in music” then they’ll like it. They have absolutely no opinion of their own, none. They’re pathetic. If everyone was jumping off a clip then they literally would do the same thing. They’re a joke
