For me, one of the best features of the Pocket 2 is the built in sound. In this video I explore the sound settings, and give examples of each audio mode in use. It's well worth understanding what results you can get for each option, to give your videos the best audio quality. Finally I provide some examples of the almost three-dimensional stereo ambient audio the camera provides, in parkland and urban locations.
How to find the options - swipe down from the top of the screen, swipe across from the right side of the screen a few times till you see "PRO". Tap that icon so that you see the message "Pro on". Press the red record button to exit. Now tap the yellow "PRO" icon at the top left of the screen. Swipe once from right to left. Now you can tap on the four little panels there to get the combination of options you want. Press the record button to exit.
This video was shot in 1080p, 30fps. Wind noise reduction was intentionally left off, as it can give the audio a slightly 'processed' sound, and the wind was generally light. But even with that feature off, the Pocket 2 seems to handle wind noise better than some cameras.
In this video I've not delved into the additional audio features you get with the 'do-it-all handle'. I think those have been covered quite well by others, but I'll just mention that the device does work well with an external stereo mic, and you can also use it with some mobile phone TRRS headsets - if you have one, just try it and see if it's any good.
