Thanks bro, I wanted to tell you yesterday I finally got my R/T!!!! My first nice car ever, and after I did some research I’m gonna do the mid-muff delete, and your video was probably one of the biggest reasons why! You put a lot of actual audio clips and didn’t waste time trying to be anything but genuine, thanks again!!!
You definitely got the best video from all these guys on removal of mid Mufflers thanks for the great information I'm taking my meds off 392 Hemi Scat Pack shaker hood baby
Wow brooo u put a lot work in this video I really appreciate it..and it helped me to mk my mind and do mid muffler on my brand new 2022 scat pack wb...smoke show hemi orange package
The microphone one whatever device he is using to make this video do the mid muffler delete no justice. I have heard the exact same thing done to the exact same year ScatPack before and it truly does sound beautiful. It's a deep tone with just enough rasp to not sound over the top yet loud enough to get some looks.
Great 👍🏾 video bro, I have a flowmaster fx catback exhaust but I’m thinking about doing a mid muffler delete. I just want it a little louder you think that would be a good idea? If anything is I don’t like it they can put the mufflers back on.
Resonator delete & replaced stock mufflers with super 44 flowmasters & bought mopar quad tips...no welding just used all good clamps incase I change out later ? ....good video..
I had a ‘15 RT 6MT and I deleted the resonators and it was loud and deep. I recked it a few years back and replaced it with a ‘15 Scat 6MT. To me, the 5.7’s sound better than the 6.4’s I don’t know what it is, but I enjoy everything about the car, I just don’t think it sounds as good as the RT I had. If my Scat sounded like it does all the time from a cold start I’d be happy LOL.
I know I want a mid muffler delete and appreciate the efforts you went thru to show all the different sound scenarios. I see you have an SRT or is it just badging? My questions are, how does this affect adaptive exhaust and does anyone know how it affects the warranty?
Bob Matthews thanks for watching! No this is not an SRT it’s a scat pack, the badge on the back says “SRT powered”. The active exhaust isn’t changed by the mid muffler delete, still opens up under acceleration. To my knowledge, this does not affect the warranty unless it directly caused the issue.
I’m considering replacing the mid mufflers on my 2020 Challenger R/T with Vibrant 1794 resonators. I’m told (by some) that this will amplify the exhaust somewhat, and accentuate the deep, throaty V8 sound. That’s exactly what I want to do. I’m also told (by others) that replacing the mid mufflers with resonators won’t change the sound much, if at all. What’s your opinion? Are the Vibrant 1794 resonators good for increasing the deepest sounds of the Hemi, or is that only brought out through a complete deletion mid-pipes?
I personally haven’t changed out the mid mufflers with different ones, I just did the mid muffler delete. Getting the aftermarket mufflers will probably cause it to be a little less raspy as opposed to just deleting the mid mufflers and replacing with straight pipe, if that’s what you’re looking for
@@KCars I want to avoid the ear-splitting rasp on hard acceleration. Think of the exhaust sound I’m after as turning up the bass and reducing the treble on the car stereo. Your friend’s blue, straight-piped Challenger sounds incredibly good on the video, but I can tell it’s loud enough to bulldoze buildings with sound alone! On the other hand, your Challenger with the mid mufflers delete and rear resonators retained doesn’t sound as loud as I thought that setup would be (but I’m not there in person to hear it). My immediate concern with this modification is my neighbors; I live in an apartment building with a parking lot that is a real echo chamber. Any noise echoes between the building and a concrete retaining wall, and I leave for work in my Challenger every morning at 4:00 AM. A car with a particularly loud exhaust mod isn’t going to be appreciated much.
If you don’t like the raspy sound then I wouldn’t do the mid muffler delete. I’d probably get an aftermarket catback or just aftermarket mufflers like you were saying. Not sure about the neighbors though lol they will be mad no matter what 😂
Very nice sound...i had a question ....i have a 2008 srt8 challenger and when i get on mine it chirps 2nd gear and sometimes 3rd ...i noticed that when i watched your video your 2nd and 3rd gear changes were slow and slid into gear ....i wonder if a tune would help you with quicker gear changes ...i bout mine in 2008 and it has about 28,000 miles and i do a a dioblo zport tune and midmuffler delete but mine has always scratched 2nd gear when i got on it....your car is sharp ...nice video ...from a 60 year old guy that will never grow up lol
Mark Ruffner thanks, and appreciate the support! Is your car a manual? If so, then that’s probably why it chirps when you go into 2nd and 3rd. I’m actually really happy with the shift speed of this car. When I’m not accelerating hard then it’s not going to shift super fast which is normal but under hard acceleration the shifts are very quick, I’ve actually had someone ask me if it’s a dual clutch before lol thanks for watching!
My SRT8 challenger is an automatic not a manual. It doent matter whether i keep it in drive or when i put it in manual shifting 2nd and third chirp real hard....thanks for your feedback but mine isan automatic....i recently found a transmission mode in the diablosport predator...i put it in mode 1 mode 2 and mode 3 and mode three seems to allow about a higher rpm when it shifts its self and it Scratched 2nd hard 3rd hard and 4th not quite as hard in 4th gear but it did chirp...i am curious if any other srt8's chirp those gears in there automatics....thank you
Thats funny. I did go and get a corsa extreme exhaust and it came with a resonator for the middle and mufflers for the ends, too quiet so i removed the resonators and kept mufflers on and now its nice and loud with tone and rasp when you floor it. I want to hear how it sounds with just resonators and no mufflers now, i miss having some sound inside the car and probably will still be loud without mufflers. I gotta try it
Guess I'm gonna have to look into a cat back system because I'm not willing to exchange that awesome sounding tone for loud rasp. I think the stock sounds amazing. It's just too quiet. If I could keep the same tone but amplify it, I'd be super happy.
Then keep the resonator and delete the muffler. The muffler (what the author is keeping) just tones down the volume. The resonator (what looks like a suitcase in the middle) changes the sound if deleted. Both makes it louder if removed however
Awesome, you won’t regret it! It felt amazing the first time I drove it, very smooth. I couldn’t really do much because of the break in period but it was still awesome! Thanks for watching!
BigBwoyTing the mid muffler delete shouldn’t affect the emissions because you’re not deleting the cats. I’m not familiar with California laws though so I’m not sure
I wish it was 100 bucks to get my 2014 rt 6mt done. I’m stuck wondering if I should get the mid muffler deleted or get the resonators deleted for the loudest effect. It’s $250 plus at my local muffler shop so I gotta make the right decision 😬
Yeah mid resonator delete r 😁 with stocks mufflers sounds deeper and better than straight 😁 pipe still straight 😁 pipe is the loudest but raspberry 😅 good content 😁🦜😁🦜🦜🦜😁
HardestOut Shool of Hardknocks id say the scat pack 392 since it’s a bigger engine and also has the active exhaust, I’m not sure if the 5.7 has the active exhaust
I have a 2014, Challenger R/T Plus. Does anyone knows the diameter of the muffler pipes that you installed after you deleted your mid mufflers. I'm going to delete my mid mufflers and I'm going to purchase a pair of 4' (foot) 304, stainless steel pipes. But I need to know the diameter of the new pipes I'm going to install with. Thanks.
Did the mid muffler delete on my 22 scat pack shaker and idk...i did a rear delete on my hemi rt and it sounded louder on the rt hemi than my scat shaker...idk. maybe its me
@@KCars I have 114000 miles on it and my daily driver. As long as you keep up with maintenance instead of doing crazy stuff like donuts and burnouts and hard pulls you will be good and your car will last you a long time.
@@KCars I am up with the maintenance. Because I live in San Diego I drive on a regular basis. I'm not like these guys like Tall Guy Car Reviews that doesn't take care of their vehicles I hope you don't have to. I will be getting a Charger at the end of the year in f8 green. I will still stay with the RT because I heard Scatpacks and Hellcats drink a lot of gas.
Brenden Baker RT is definitely a good option but I think the scat pack is the best bang for your buck and the fuel economy really isn’t that terrible if you’re not hard on it
The mid muffler delete is the first thing I did to my 19' Scat Pack Shaker 6 speed...the exhaust sound was so much better with plenty of pops and crackles on deceleration, unfortunately the second thing I did with my Scat Pack was trade it in for a 19' GT350.
@@KCars They are both great performance cars, the Challenger Scat Pack looked so cool and retro especially with the Shaker, it also cornered surprisingly well for such a big car. The GT350 is a sports car as it's size and weight you feel immediately. The lighter GT350 and that Flat Plane Crank sound was hard to resist.
@@KCars What you mean is yes, it drones, but at certain rpms around highway speeds. Highway speed drone is what ACTUALLY matters-for a simple reason. It is the time when you hit the cruise control and keep at a certain speed, so the drone becomes VERY apparent.
Straight pipe sounds like shit and honestly removing the rear resonators with pretty much any solutions sounds like shit.. Loud for loudness sake is what teenagers do to their 500 dollar honda civics. If you want loud and tasteful for very little money have a shop chop off the mid mufflers and install dynomax bullets or vibrant 1792/1794s while leaving everything else stock and it will sound plenty loud and aggressive for like 300 bucks total with install. I had that done for mine and it sounds like an absolute beast while still being tasteful..
@@jasonbrown2961 I got my car late in the day and the very next day I went straight pipe. Big difference, my mom has a 2020 wide body scatpack and you can hear the difference, more aggressive
If anyone could help with this problem I would be glad. (will send you $20 cash app if you help find a solution) My 05 Chrysler 300c modded. Keeps chewing the driveshaft coupler. I've replaced them 2 times so far with new ones. I looked for built ones online but they don't sell any anymore. Anyone know a solution. Also Amazing content like always dude!
