Narcissistic personality disorder is a mental health condition characterized by an inflated sense of self-importance, a need for admiration, and a lack of empathy for others. And here I discuss my own personal experience living with narcissistic personality disorder. Including the symptoms and behaviors associated with this disorder, as well as how it has affected my life. I also share some of my coping strategies and how I have been able to manage the disorder, along with helping you understanding your loved ones and their behaviors that may seem almost incomprehensible and potentially hurtful. Hopefully, my channel will provide insight into what it's like to live with narcissistic personality disorder, as well as what it's like for your loved ones. Thank you for watching!

Problem with narcissists is they never think they are wrong, or if they are they won't admit it.

I told my ex that the silent treatment was emotional abuse and i will not tolerate it ever again. This after several conversations we had about improving communication. She accused me of meeting someone else (projecting) when i was hiking in the mountains then hung up on me when we were talking and gave me the silent treatment. I broke it off when she contacted me again.

Van Gogh was diagnosed with temporal lobe epilepsy. Narcissism is visible in his work. He drank heavily and was depressed. Once Van Gogh cut off his ear. How did he die? He shot himself in the chest when he was vulnerable. Read his famous letters to friends and you will feel your resemblance to him. He looks like you in his letters.

I actually like how you are so candid with your opinions despite them being maybe controversial or something people would normally try to not say out loud. It gives a more accurate look into the mindset/thought flow of someone with NPD. It’s nice that you are showing enough politeness to try to correct yourself for us but it also just shows more how NPD functions inside a person’s mind in a more authentic way. 👍🏼

We don't tell you because every other time we've told you, we've ended up apologizing TO YOU. I mean us as victims and you as narcs. We're hurt so many times by you but you think your should get a pass every time. But you'd throw a tantrum if we did it to you. But because we triggered your shame monster, we end up getting treated like crap until WE APOLOGIZE or just get over it. But one thing very few might tell you is that this is exactly what chips away at any feeling we have for you. We end up hating you. You're nothing to us but the gaping wound in our hearts. We grow cold to people because we see narc traits in everyone.

“When people walk on egg shells and it’s not passive aggression, I don’t know what to call that.” Think about egg shells for a moment. What would it feel like to step on an egg shell? It would hurt. Walking on eggshells is trying to not get hurt. It isn’t passive aggressive. Passive aggression is hurting someone under the guise of not being harmful. Aggression that is hard to define. Walking on egg shells is like trying to handle an explosive gingerly, so that it doesn’t explode.

Think maybe Chloe felt humiliated? You know what humiliation feels like, from what you've said. Your reaction could have been a protection mechanism. Maybe u block off empathy as a safety from reliving those feelings? That's understandable. That's what trauma does. Give yourself some grace, no 5 year old in the world should have ever endured such a horrifying invasion of self. That person was the monster & he poisoned you. You're not to blame. I've watched several of your vids. You are incredibly brave for being so real with yourself & allowing us viewers to see you, thank you. Has your therapist suggested EMDR? I am no prude or averse to swearing, but I feel that even though you are putting your truth out there, you do have a responsibility to not throw negativity re women, as a gender, on this platform as it will be hard to tell what level of self-awareness your audience is and how your message is received. I do admire how you will state what you go through and how you think. I, also, admire how you call yourself out. That part is refreshing and displays you are becoming more self-aware. Just sayin'....

Deliberately lying to less educated people to fool them but not telling them it’s a joke. Letting them take his lies believing it was true. He is an adult educator. I think that behavior is sick. I know from good sources you are utterly self aware (contrary to a myth that they are not). Any narc can admit all things he does, all their tricks. But on the other hand, since narcissists have false self, that means that they are divorced from reality, which they run away from big time. They get angry when confronted So im confused. How is it actually? Are they actually divorced from reality literally, kind of like crazy people? Or are they consciously choosing contra-factual narrative which they make up on a go? Kind of like children who pretend they have imaginary friends. Or that they have swords instead of tree sticks. They imagine that, but they understand its not real But! Despite that, their memory is usually bad (as they claim). For example-when you confront a narcissist, his reaction is often surprise. Because in his mind he is a good friend/lover/partner/parent or whatever. So from this standpoint they actually literally live in imagined reality, completely divorced from the actual facts. But they can also switch to reality easily. When you confront them, they can at first deny all or say it was a joke/they don’t remember. But then after providing undeniable proof-their face expression changes and becomes smirky/evil and they say “heh, so what?” I just fail to understand it. Could you make a video about that please. As a diagnosed NPD"

Do you think narcissism and temporal lobe epilepsy are related? The Russian writer Dostoevsky was diagnosed with temporal lobe epilepsy. He was a narcissist. I was diagnosed with temporal lobe epilepsy and narcissism. I had an MRI and an EEG that diagnosed me. Jacob, can you go to the neurologist's clinic and get checked for temporal lobe epilepsy? I recently mentioned this to a narcissist friend of mine. He was tested and found to have epilepsy. Jacob, do you remember if you had a seizure?
@_femme_fatale
@_femme_fatale Год назад
For example, the symptoms of temporal lobe epilepsy: the gift of foresight (predicting people's behavior), grandiosity, rage, depression, shame, boredom, deja vu, a sense of discomfort in society, a desire for death or a desire to die, low self-esteem, talent, high intelligence, creativity, lucid dreams ...
@_femme_fatale
@_femme_fatale Год назад
They write on the Internet that temporal lobe epilepsy and narcissism are connected. In the head, tomography shows the breaking of neural connections. Does HPD really exist? I increasingly come to the conclusion that narcissism as a term does not exist. There are only personality traits of a person that have been formed under the influence of another progressive disease.
@_femme_fatale
@_femme_fatale Год назад
There is another writer in Russia - Mikhail Bulgakov. He wrote a work in which he portrayed narcissism. It shows the story of a narcissistic guy who had grandiosity. He met a girl who was a border guard. She wanted to save him and therefore sacrificed herself to heal him. In the end, everything ended sadly. This book is written in symbolic language. The writer Bulkagov himself was a doctor and a narcissist. He has several works on this subject.
@_femme_fatale
@_femme_fatale Год назад
The last wife of the writer, Elena, writes that she had never met anyone equal to Bulgakov in strength of character: “He could not be bent, he had some kind of steel spring inside - no force could bend him, bend him, ever. He was always trying to find a way out."
@_femme_fatale
@_femme_fatale Год назад
Bulgakov repeatedly called himself a "mystical writer". According to contemporaries, he was, on the one hand, charming and modest in the circle of friends, damn smart, he could even seem cheerful and easy. But at the same time, his inner life was not revealed to anyone. Sometimes he surprised everyone with his ability to predict the future - the main example is his prediction of his illness and death long before 1940.
