Yes when they think the sky is green the sky is green, even when everyone around tells them the sky is blue! Even when god tells him The sky is blue… no for me it’s green! That shoes how deep they stay in their beleaves to secure their base!!! All has to be as they need it to be as they feel it!!!! Just if you proof it to them No chance!!! If you confront them with this fact they tell you accept me as I am…. Or unkind: they rage and tell you that you are a stressful person and they always have a awful time with you and that they have to go… if not… they will get crazy or will not survive it!!! Just cause you insist the sky is blue… can’t you see it??? 😂

Everyone says "hurt people hurt people" and for narcs to be the way they are, they've probably been very badly hurt in the past. And while I know we should try to be sympathetic, I can never understand how you can inflict pain on a person when you yourself know what it feels like. So as much as I try, I can never be completely sympathetic towards them. Thanks for another informative video.

I think that they have shut that part of themselves down to where they really don’t understand someone else’s pain because they don’t feel that type of pain themselves anymore. Just my best guess.

Don’t ever sympathize for a narc. Though they went thru bad childhood traumatic experiences, you didn’t do anything to them. You are not responsible for their pain so there is no excuse for the harm they are causing people. They know what they are doing because if you were to do the same crap they put you through to them you would never hear the end of it.

They're actually mad at their own narcissistic parents. And they hate themselves. Well, the hate has to go somewhere (besides to themselves or to their parents; that's a little too close to the bone). It goes to a partner or child.

Yes they play out their childhood trauma over and over. My husband claims his mother is a faultless saint yet when they're together it seems very uncomfortable. She's very emotionally cold. I get to be punished for her emotional neglect.

It's sadly a self-fulfilling prophecy of a narcissist. You behave like an autonomous human, this upsets their entitlement, which makes them feel insecure, which makes them lash out to reclaim what "belongs" to them, and then you push back, which upsets their entitlement, which makes them feel insecure, and so on.

It just surprises me so much that narcissists are created by abuse. It’s literally so shocking that since a person got abused over and over again they now turn to zero empathy they turn cold toxic and they repeat an abusive cycle onto others. It’s so messed up and wrong. Can anyone make it make sense I don’t think anyone truly can.

You are absolutely correct! It’s so important to understand that their thinking is indeed delusional. Otherwise we contort ourselves into pretzels trying to make them happy. Happiness is always out of reach because of their mental disorder, not because of what you have done or what you supposedly need to do for them.

Lol, he did do something recently that hurt me really badly, and that I did interpret as though he did it on purpose, to deliberately hurt me as deeply as possible and humiliate me also. I retaliated with a reactive abusive style in a text message. I’m embarrassed and now he is running a smear campaign against me and since he will not own any of what he did that upset me so much and that it was really crappy, all that he is telling people is my part in it which was really bad. I don’t know if this person is a narcissist and I don’t want to call him one. He has some narcissistic traits, but we all do sometimes. I love him so much! I’m so sad and I miss him! We’re both on the silent treatment right now and I don’t know when that will end, because if he is going to expect me to take full responsibility and be arrogant, then I guess I don’t want to talk to him again at all. I didn’t tolerate this behavior from my own mother and adult son. That’s not fair to them for me to let this guy slide.

Their past traumas and hurts does not give someone carte blanche to treat someone that they profess to love like shit. I put up with it way too long, she can be a lonely old woman. I don't care anymore.

I never comment on these types of videos. After getting cheated on ( discarded )9/09 . I was depressed and went no connect . Worse emotional pain ever. Since the end of October I’ve decided to take accountability for my narc relationship and do research and understand what is a narc, co-dependency, trama bond and try to make sense of the hell I lived for a year . Your video saved me from going to therapy . I didn’t need to express myself , I needed to understand what I went thru and understand how I feel. My narc was 45 . I am 28

They want absolute control over a person and, to them, THAT is love. You will be constantly working to make them happy whilst they don't do anything for you. Forget reciprocation. Queen bee expecting you to be a worker bee , dedicated to them in every way possible. If this is a way of life you want... be my guest.. but love is not a one way street with pot holes and land mines along the way

I believe they are watching the screen onto which they are projecting a movie 🎥, like a walking dream, and any interruptions that disrupt the movie are attacked. It’s not a good movie: it’s a movie in which all they do in it is get their way regardless of costs to others. Like a cruel lethal bulldozer. They do have self awareness, but no feelings or empathy for their victims/enemies. NONE!

This was what my father did and although my mother deserted at very early ages, she seemed to be just the sa,e !, only i escaped this madness, I am not npd, 2 sisters are, they are quite crazy!
