Just to let people know if you engage the locker in 2wd you can switch between 2wd, 4high, and 4low without turning the locker off first.

Very cool. This would be perfect if it utilized the factory light, but I understand the limitations there... Question- will the e-locker light in the gauge cluster illuminate if you activate it per the usual method in 4LO i.e. the stock/factory behavior?

Great install video. I chose the kit to run in 2wd low which also allows the truck to engage the rear locker. I don't think you can install the anytime kit after this install. I am aware of the "gray wire" hack but worried about complications from the computer. The other worry when installing these kits, when you jam all that wiring behind the dash; is there a wire chafing issue down the road.

Thats pretty cool, just like my ARB air locker on my Tacoma. I can engage that at any speed, 2H, 4H or 4L.

Any chance of breaking the rear locker at higher speeds other than it would normally do in 4low? Wondering why Toyota set limits on it. What would be max speed with rear locked engaged?

We have done testing up to 100 mph. These diffs are very strong as long as you are not on pavement it will be fine. The 2wd Tacoma with a locker can be locked at any time so we don’t even understand why they decided the 4x4 is limited.

If you engage the locker the dash light won't come on? Why do you need the extra light?

The reason for the Extra light is there is no way to tap into the dash without a tone of work. The dash light for the locker will no longer come on. If it did you would get check engine lights!
