In general, people who post such comments don't mean well. They just want to feel smug and superior. Although there are some who do genuinely mean well. I'll often post a correction if I notice something wrong just because I'd want to be corrected if I were the one saying something wrong. So I'm sure there are others who have similar intentions. But smugness seems to be abundant in RU-vid comments. And yeah, I realize the irony in that I sound smug by saying this.
I was waiting for it when you said commentors were right...just waiting, and I wasn't disappointed lol. Awesome video man, great way to show and explain the differances and to show others it's ok to question things, but validate and test before proclaiming.
The problem with the right hand rule is that is helps understand the force, but it doesnt explain that actually its a vortex going clockwise out on the north side and counterclockwise out on the south pole - still exerting right hand rule forces, but the reality of how it happens is lost.
Right hand rule for generator, left hand rule for motor. Thumb ('strong' finger) for force, indeX finger for fluX, middle finger for current (the 'other' one). You have a motor here, so it's left hand rule. Easy way to remember which hand for which is just to remember the word geneRIGHTer.
Boy oh boy blueprint,... You are true genious. What a truely entertaining fun video. Loved every minute of it. I was so excited when I saw this in my inbox. What an awesome day today is!❤️❤️. Thank you so much Dayton.
It's spelled genius. There's no O. If it were a real word, genious would probably be used to describe something with the qualities of a genie, since the -ous suffix means to have the qualities of whatever the root word is. Like gaseous or porous. But I guess one could argue that genies are really smart. =P
I have just noticed that my thumb bends backwards in a way that is rather odd. Thanks, i now have something else to google. But i also have a tub of large capacitors that i scored in a mixed pallet from auction and now see a rail gun on the horizons
There is an electrical engineer called Eric Dollard who broke the law of electromagnetism by making electric field and magnetic field no longer propagate in right angles to the direction of propagation simply by connecting capacitors in series and coils in parallel or shunted. For LMD circuit diagram and experiment video, google "The L.M.D./T.E.M.Test - JLN Labs" and "Transverse & Longitudinal Electric Waves and Tesla’s Longitudinal Electricity - Eric P. Dollard". Also you can measure the differences with TriField meter, check video "Replication of Eric Dollard's Analog Computer" on it.
Well my excuse is that I’m left-handed and prone to dyslexia. For this reason, I don’t build rail guns. Sorta like if a color blind guy built traffic lights. Love your savior-faire! 🤣👍
I thought this would have to do with "positive" current direction vs actual eletron flow direction. Why on earth would you use a left hand rule anywhere? It's all just I x B = F It's a cross product and so long as we're using a right handed coordinate system it's going to be a right hand rule
For this you have the Left hand rule. Although you can use them interchangeably you shouldn't use right hand rule in your videos as a replacement for the left hand rule as it confuses many viewers.
For motors I guess we have the left hand rule! But what if your dominant hand is left and you always mix up the right for the left and vice versa. What if you are ambidextrous! I always confused between the two rules in my school days and make this funny hand signals during my exams to check it making me look like a weirdo. I agree. As long as you understand what they are for and apply them you are cool.
Everybody's an expert in RU-vid comments, particularly those with no channel content of their own. Why don't you try something where viewers are less likely to have their own opinion, like knife sharpening.
do not even remotely imagine how many people there are who sharpen knives here on you tube, from what makes very sharp knives even with candies or cardboard to those who make spectacular reproductions of medieval cutting weapons! ;-)
Hi. You made a slayer exciter Tesla coil way before. Can you make another Tesla coil but way powerful than before . Enough for making some long, thick, juicy arcs. That can also play music. Or not..... You decide. I'm in a dire need of such a video.
So long as the vectors jive, just do whatever you are good with. Just understand that there are multiple correct methods - don't decry mine and I won't decry yours :)
@@BlueprintScience Wise behavior: denigrating involves reactions (corollary to the third law of dynamics: each denigration corresponds to an equal and opposite denigration ... and perhaps worse!) Therefore denigrating is not my method: usually when I find statements that conflict with my knowledge In this case I hadn't noticed the problem: it's been too long since I studied it at school, I'm 59!
Thank you. Now I can _finally_ sleep. Of course an apology doesn't undeadify all the people from all those buildings that collapsed from people using our videos to build structures.
I'm just practicing for when I make a real error. Tell me how this sounds... "I'm super super super super super super super super super super super super super super super super super super super super super super super super super super super super super super sorry" Pretty good, eh?
For us dumb bums who have trouble envisaging "cross products of vectors" ...the comfort of assigning each type of vector to a given finger makes it easier to remember. So yes.....you were nearly killed but only because when we go - FORCE(or motion) / FIELD / CURRENT (flows so nicely off the tongue) and assign to THUMB/ POINTER/ INDEX (in that order) we need to remember Fleming's LEFT hand rule is for MOTORS (WE drive on the left...at least in in civilised countries) and RiGht hand for generators (because of GeneRator). I did think the gratuitous violence was amusing .....pissed myself literally. Now was that conventional current or electron flow???? How can I get my hand in position ...without dislocating my shoulder?? Last time I did this Fleming rule thingy in an exam....they thought I was having a siezure!
Are you familiar with those automatic soap and paper towel dispensers? A research team at my school investigated changing their batteries with ultra capacitors to charge faster and live longer. That’s where I got mine: surplus.
