This video was improvised in one take, so my brain was all over the place.
To summarize my points succinctly, this channel exists to create space. By that, I mean a place where anyone can stop by, hang out, and feel understood.
Sure, I probably won't appeal to everyone, but that's what's cool about being human. We're all so different, and my experience may be entirely different from yours. Perhaps by listening to my perspective, you can learn a thing or two about how other people perceive the world around them.
Now, let's break down this idea of "creating space" into three sections:
1. *Creating Space for You*
I want this channel to feel like a dialogue with a friend. Sure, the dialogue may seem one-sided from a purely video standpoint, but that's why the comment section exists. It's a place where we can engage with each other and share ideas and feelings.
2. *Creating a Space for Us*
The human story is becoming more and more uncertain. What are we to do? Who are we to serve? Where are we going? I want to create a space where humans can just feel human. This will be especially important as we enter a future that is dictated by machines and algorithms.
3. *Creating a Space for Myself*
Admittedly, this channel is a selfish venture. I am doing this for myself. Creating videos in which I speak uninterrupted, with no edits, about mental health topics or whatever I'm going through is very therapeutic. I'm hoping that this process of self-healing can satisfy the first two points. It's a win-win-win if I've ever seen one!
So, yeah, that's the gist of this channel. I have a lot of other things going on in my life, so I'm expecting 2-4 uploads per month. I'm thinking of uploading on Sundays, but I have yet to really make a decision on that.
