Do You Remember WildC.A.T.s? Because They're BACK! 

I for one am incredibly glad the Wildstorm Universe is in the DCU

Happy to see Mother-One from Wetworks in the mix, hopefully we can get more of those guys later down the line.

Honestly, the way I remember the Kherubim/Daemonite war from the original WarWildC.A.T.s comics was more like Eternals vs Deviants, but without Jack Kirby's interest in exploring his personal relationship with gods. This reboot looks fascinating. I just might give it a shot.

Jim Lee's work is great. The recent presence of Apolo and Midnigher on the Superman War-world story was very well executed.

Hey, @blerdwithoutfear! , the others are Mother One (wetworks), threshold (red, 82 on chest, I believe Wildcats?), and Andromache (silver headdress, a zealot disciple/foe). I think the one you named Spartan is really Agent Wax (introduced in Wildcats 3.0, which is an awesome series if you haven’t read/read in a while. Lots of superheroics and corporate espionage type stuff).

I used to rock with WildCATS, Gen13, etc. Not sure if I am going to pick it up. But I loved those comics.

They need to make movies on image comic books but not make those movies bad.

Warblade and Maul were a couple of my favorites.

The dude in red on the Seven Soldiers is Threshold from DV8. He was a total badass if I remember correctly. The gold female is Mother One from Wetworks, I think. It looks a lot like her. Also a total badass!

Being a fan of Jim Lee's work on uncanny X-Men in the 90's then the start up of image comics I remember grabbing the wildcats issue 1 and being in love with all the characters. The stories and of course artwork. I always wondered why they never really blew up as a major title (besides the terrible cartoon) then seeing grifter in the d.c. (a watered down version) I wanted to see them return at some point. Still not my wildcats in this iteration but glad to see them brought up and having a comic out again

I actually really enjoyed the first issue. Hope this sticks around.

The woman with the golden skinned symbiote and robot arms is Mother from Wetworks.

I'm a big fan of the Wildcats under Joe Casey. He turned a trashy 90s title into a really interesting title about corporate domination.

I'm a HUGE o.g. Wild CATS fan!! While some of my friends were on the Spawn bandwagon, I veered towards the Wild CATS, and Youngblood! I can't wait to see what they do with them. I need the full original recipe team in full effect. I like how they incorporated Fairchild into the team. I wouldn't mind seeing Youngblood, or Gen13 get rebooted as well!

Maul, Mr Majestic, & Warblade are my guys! I love how they're taking the Jonathan Hickman, Krakoan era approach, where they allow former villains on the team/island, because I love the new edition of Pike[who was one of my favorite villains from back then], and they added Fairchild to the team as well? Yeah I'm looking forward to getting back into this team's book

I have been looking forward to this book series. Seeing these characters get a closer tie to the main DCU opens up so many new story ideas. Hopefully we get to see Wetworks and Stormwatch return as well.

I remember a crossover where Superman asked Majestic for Green Lanterns ring back.

The two blade handed guys were my favorite the Indian and the wildcats guy...Keith booth and gardner were dope artists

I feel, using Wildstorm at this time could give DC some much needed hype, or Mortar for all the main bricks.

The new angle sounds fun. I watched the entire cartoon a few months a go just to say I did. That show was my first introduction to them as a kid but I only saw a little of it. I never bought Wild.Cat's books but I did get stuff that had Zealot in it. Her and Grifter are my favorites. Also liked Stryke Force/Cyber Force from the handful of comics I won at Circus Circus in Las Vegas. I remember Gen 13. Never read their stuff but they did get a movie that was never officially released. It's usually on youtube.

I thought that the feel of this book was just like the original series. It was a great nostalgic read and there is a page where Spartan tackles Superman that is just epic. My young inner self was giddy as hell

It's about time they finally give WIldstorm the respect it deserves in DC. Like they've been around since new 52 and they pop up every now and then and never for long. I just hope isn't another flash in the pan like they've been used in the past. Since a lot of these characters work with expanding what goes on in the DC world

That skull head in the space suit is from Doctor Who are they going to put Doctor Who in DC

I wish all Wildstorm teams go back to their own Earth apart from Earth 0. Their context is VERY DIFFERENT for being there in the mainstream DCU

I really enjoyed the first issue. I was a little thrown by the personnel changes and the tweaks to the story. But they grew on me. And I suppose it wouldn't make sense to try and pick up where they left off years ago. I was a fan of the team from day one and collected through Alan Moore's run and beyond. I'm glad the characters are being used again. And having them in the actual DC Universe will be interesting.

I still have my wildcats 1 with the chromium cover I got in highschool. Amazing news

It took Travis Charest a year to do the annual/special. When he moved to the studio from Canada, the style of hair and clothes that Travis and his roommate had made me think of the group, "WHAM!"

So after sailing out to DC Jim Lee finally got to see one of his teams get to be part of the DC universe after 20 years.Master is good.

So if any existing DC character joined the team, which one do you think would "fit"? Or...how about a Wildcat joining an existing DC team? I'd love a team that's all made up of characters from properties bought by DC. Charleton, Whiz, etc.

I actually thought Cole was referring to the DC Vampires series when he said Nightwing was the leader all along. Other than that I dug this.

I’m just gonna say that I am actually quite glad they finally are going to use properties that they’ve owned for a while now. I did used to buy some of the image and wild storm comics. But I wasn’t a devoted fan to buy every issue that came out. I was still just an X-Men kid….lol So when I heard that DC comics bought the rights to image comics and were taking all the characters for themselves I was wondering when they were going to finally put them into the main DC universe. What is it really happened and they only shoehorn a small group of them like grifter and even Fairchild who had a brief time in the new 52 era. Which I’m gonna say I’m glad that she is fine I came back because she was one of my favorite characters……(also doesn’t hurt that I had a big crush on her….. maybe even to this day😏✌️) But with all that I’m still feel like this decision to bring back Wildcats feels a little sus. Maybe I’m just being paranoid but I feel like the only reason why these characters are becoming relevant in the DCU, is because they basically have already destroyed some of their namebrand characters like Superman and Batman and wonder woman in general of the entire DC universe at some point. So I feel like the fact that they are bringing these characters out now feels like a shell of desperation to try to keep the company afloat. But again I’m just glad they’re finally getting some time in the spotlight…. Especially with the return to Fairchild, who was the leader of gene 13. But looking back on that book that I still have issues that I’m pretty sure the book is a product of its time and would not work in the current era we live in. It was mostly made up of just one part superheroes…. And the rest was just made up of 90s tropes like ninjas video games and MTV….. Plus I’m pretty sure the character grunge would get canceled pretty quickly considering he was a unapologetic pervert who chased after any girl he could get his hands on.

so to me it seems that The Seven Soldiers Of Victory is the new Team 7. As well, you can clearly see Mother One from Wetworks and Threshold from DV8 as members. this has a feel of the old series, im gonna have to read this and catch up

Wildcats was my first comic store pick up. Will always have a connection to the team. I wish Image owned them. Image explores good stories, DC/Marvel, not so much.

So, Mr Majestic, Apollo, Icon and Superman could form a team
