I think this is the first video I disagree with, you should checkout dr Darren Schmidt's channel for a full explanation of why, but in essence there are plenty of herbs, supplements and nutraceuticals that can boost kidney or liver function or literally "grab" toxins and help flush them out (such as zeolites, c60, fulvic & humic acid...). And considering all the extra toxins we are exposed to in modernity (hydrofluorasilic acid/fluoride, aluminum/excess heavy metals...) they are by no means a simple fad.

Hallelujah!! I’ve been praying for the Lord to help me with my eating. I am not overweight, but I have a junk food/sugar problem. I have a 8 month old who still wake up in the night and everytime I make her a bottle, I’m shoveling crumb donuts/brownies and milk in my mouth. 😳 I am so thankful he has lead me here.

The more research I do it appears to me that the two best steps to detox are: 1. Remove all processed poisons (as said in this video). 2. Fasting. This activates autophagy. The longer the fasting window, the more detoxing autophagy does for you. All good stuff.
I watch these videos in the living room in the evenings while mu husband chills with his flight simulator in the dining room. Sometimes he'll say oh I remember this one. He's listening. He has started cutting back on cokes and eating fewer potatoes and carrots & trying to eat cabbage and Brussels sprouts. No problem at all adding fats and trying to cut back on the grains but man, the sugar is like a drug. He gets panicky and defensive thinking about never having it again. Seeing his and others reaction to the thought of giving up sugar shows me just how addictive it really is. I swear it's a drug
There's hope though! My husband tried going gluten free after a lifetime of bread with every meal. He was the type to finish a bread basket in a restaurant before the food came. After only a few days, his sniffing and blowing were gone, and he had no stomach problems. He hasn't gone back to gluten since. Hope your hubby has a change of heart soon!
You all should watch how sugar is processed, they use chemicals to break down the cane. Pretty nasty looking stuff. Another one is dark cola's, those who drink them are ingesting hazardous materials that those producers add to other products to make their cola. Every semi transporting this product must have hazmat plaques posted on their trailers. Show them some videos of this stuff and it wont be such a struggle to stop.

I am 4 weeks on keto diet. Intermittent fasting is naturally happening to me. In honor of St. Patty's day I am making Sheppard's pie with cauliflower mashed potatoes. I refuse to be a short order cook for my family.

Hey there Doc. I am 6' tall and 300lbs. I don't feel horrible, but I know that an early death is on the horizon if I don't do something to fix it. I do walk 1-2 miles a day which is probably why i don't feel like the blob that I look like. I am starting the Keto diet, mostly because of how much sense that you and a couple other RU-vid doctors are making in the videos. And because I got the approval from my wife...hahaha. I did a meat, eggs and cheese thing 15 years ago and lost 40lbs over a few month period. That weight loss got me the wonderful wife that I still have, and consequently another 60lbs. However, she won't let me do that extreme diet again, for nutritional reasons I suppose. Probably for the better...hahaha. That being said, she and I are excited to start working toward better health and in my case, weight loss. I have a pretty good sized belly and a set of man boobs that should be holstered when in public. Not even my profile picture does that explanation justice. When I start dropping the pounds, I fear that I will lose the weight faster than my skin can contact? Is there anything I can or should do to aid in that inevitable consequence?
Your wife needs to realize that the "meat, eggs, and cheese thing" is not the extreme diet. The diet that made you 300 pounds is the extreme diet. We are just conditioned to think that ingesting sugar and processed carbs is normal. If you embrace the info in this video, you'll lose weight and become healthy again.

Every other week or so I detox with castor oil. However; I notice since I start eating the ketogenic way the detox doesn’t work as fast as it usually does. I guess there just isn’t enough gunk in my system to clean out like the months before I started keto. The body is so smart.
The same goes for what you consume with your eyes and ears... as well as the company you keep... only consume the good stuff and detox it all! Great content as always Dr. Thank you.
The detox kitchen potions are the cheesiest. Just fast for 48 hours and heal your mitochondria. Or better yet, a 36 hour fast to make new stem cells. When my dog gets hurt he lays in the shade for a few days and doesn't eat.

After being keto for 2 weeks, things are tasting amazing. Not just brain fog but taste fog has gone away. I notice that strawberries and vegetables have so much more subtle flavors than before keto. I thought keto would be really hard, but it is pretty easy. Pretty easy, because I don't feel hungry at all. Just need ketorade a couple times a day. I am slowly getting my husband and son to do it too.
I have been vegetarian since age 14. I am now 69 on amilodipine 2.5mg . No other health issues but needed to lose weight. I stopped sugar and snacking after dinner and lost 25 pounds. I need to lose 20 more pounds. I love your videos and I feel like they helped me off sugar but I cannot ever eat animals of any kind. I try to not even use any animal products. I work full time and am active. I eat vegetables , salads, beans and some fruit. What you say makes sense but I would be interested in any advice .
I so agree that the body knows how to cleanse itself, that we don't need to buy expensive cleanses, and that a ketogenic diet and fasting support that natural cleansing process. I studied and practiced Ayurvedic natural medicine, and there are inexpensive natural substances that can also facilitate the cleansing process. I've been on a ketogenic diet for two years now. I've lost 40 lbs. and it's helping to heal a lot of past illness. But sometimes the body can detoxify so quickly and strongly that the natural cleansing process can be very uncomfortable or even painful. It's commonly referred to as a healing crisis, and it can feel like a cold or flu. Simple substances like dandelion root tea can support the liver for example, and help make the cleansing process more comfortable. I don't recommend people live on these substances, but they can be used temporarily to inexpensively support the body's natural cleansing process.
thanks Dr Berry, you're right about these cos I myself grew up from a 3rd world country but blessed with a balance fruit sour and sweet taste though I ate lots of fruit and root crops I had no fat at all but when I moved to a 1st world country everything became different fruits are sweet and sugar are mix with food and my body changed ... so now I'm starting to go back from my old way style of eating and I feel good
Juicing is a good way to quickly add nutrients to a depleted system. Yes be careful of the sugars, lack of fiber and a dependency on this way to acquire nutrients, but to discount it wholly is silly, just as discounting the importance of intermittent fasting and fats in a diet would be. Balance. Everything isn’t Keto , Keto, Keto. Having said that I’m a fan of your videos and take on most of your advice.
Dr. Berry, I’ve only recently started watching your videos and find them extremely informative. I would like to get your opinion of OMAD verses Intermittent Fasting, taking all factors into consideration. I realize that you are a fan of the carnivore diet, but what is your opinion of sprouts and micro green? One last question, much of what I read on OMAD and intermittent fasting recommends having one day a week where you reintroduce carbs such as white rice or sweet potatoes. The idea is that it improves insulin functions. I look forward to your response. -Jerry
Your excellent video on the ultimate detox was interrupted by an UMZU ad claiming that at any given time, our colons contain at least "five pounds of toxic poop" and only *their* cleanse will save us. I choose to be amused.
You have not studied coffee enemas! Saved my life and I ate pretty healthy all my life. Doctors think that I have nerve damage or missing nerves to my colon....in fact my whole family has suffered from it. So my peristalsis is very weak. I was so sick at one point they tested me for pituitary tumor. Not one hormone was right, I had several hemorrhoids removed. I had food sensitivities, fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue, heavy metals etc. Coffee enemas saved my life . I do one every morning along with ketovore/ carnivore. I have not been sick in any way no flu, colds nor allergies of any kind in 20 years. Coffee enemas remove impacted putrified materials, heavy materials, parasites etc. 3 products in caffeine absorbed in hemorrhoidal vein and is direct path to portal vein (liver) increased glutathione s transferace an enzyme production that cleans the blood which cleans the organs. This is truely the best medicine God has given.
I often wonder if fruit-baring plants are unrecognized parasites/predators. The ones that thrived all these ages are the ones that kept insects and animals close enough to where they were growing to make the ground around them more fertile through bodily wastes and carcass decay. It would make sense that fruit-baring plants could survive better by luring and causing animals to 'break down' physically (as rapidly as possible) to get nutrients from their decay. Predators of herbivores learn to hunt near fruit-bearing plants and leave the remains of their prey after. "BAD!"

Amen to that! I am full keto with a 98% whole real food regimen but I still need my sweetener in my coffee. Can't give it up yet. I hope my body is able to foregive this sweet one-a-day sin...

I’d love to hear you say that this is specifically true of heavy metals. Besides my dental mercury Iv been exposed to: lead tribunal tin, copper, fluorsilicic acid and more in my work on boats. I thought these metals were sequestered in tissues throughout the body. I mean paleo humans didn’t have bottom paint. Thanks for another thought provoking video!
Water fasting for 7-10+ days (even 21+ if possible.. I recently water fasted 40 days, ONLY WATER). Fasting 7-10+ days alone is THE BEST cleanse/detox. THEN begin following the keto nutrition/lifestyle.
I just heard this from something saying along the lines of 'we dont know what our ancestors ate, let alone what we ate yesterday' somethign like that...
