Personally disapointed not to get a planet supreme, or even just the standard grey dalek from the SFX wave with the usual eyestalk because i love that figure. Ive heard rumours about a planet set 2 which would be nice, especially if they then decide to do a rememberance set 2 so we can get a pack for both imperial and renegade. Great review as ever mate
we already got an imperial dalek last autumn i suspect it might be the special weapons dalek and renegade supreme, the supreme never having being re-released
Yeah, these are nice enough, I'll see how I am for money and how long they stay in stock, I might end up getting these eventually. I hadn't realised they were still this colour in Planet, I thought they were more the genesis colour by this point, but then I hadn't realised there was a difference between the two at all until quite recently
The slope on the dome looks much steeper in my opinion. Makes the Daleks have a taller, thinner look to them. Or am I wrong? 0:31 it's a bit easier to notice.
Hey now I'm not even sure if it's true. It just looks that way. I don't even know if the Dalek props from this story even had different domes to begin with, which would be the reason for the change. I don't see a reason why they would change it otherwise.
@@kylethedalek Maybe not, but I feel like they tend to change *something* so it's not like the original release. Even these Daleks they made different from the previous Gunmetal Day Dalek by changing the gun to silver, even though it was still black in Planet.
@MonekoEcho I was thinking the same thing when watching on someone else's channel, but it makes no sense as these props are the shawcraft type, it wasn't until the 80s that we got a new sculpt including the dome so are we going to get new Daleks for the 80s if there was no need for a sudden change in the dome, unlikely but it does give me hope now that this detail has been pointed out.
@MonekoEcho so why would they change them if the sculpt was already correct with the angle of the chamfer and plus making them taller, if it is true and we are getting 80s Dalek right after so long it would be a dream come true for me as you can tell im a massive imp fan so it would be nice if there doing these tiny details for the 60s and 70s why not go all out for the 80s fans and get them right if their changing the dome it must be, because its not right if they change them all of a sudden as the 60 and 70s share the same body types (apart from the goon props) and the tussades dalek skirt and wilkie dalek, so fingers crossed they get thoes ones right, but yeah it just doesn't add up the sudden change as then the others wont match (ones they've already released box sets)
I picked this set up. And then put it right back on the shelf. It even says on the box that their were 2 different shades of Grey from this story. Why they couldn't have painted one in the set Warrior Grey the other Worker Blue-Grey ?
It'll never happen but I wanna see their take on the Marx-style Daleks. They are technically screen accurate! I had some that Dapol did and they were fun.
So a bit of a random question, the new Daleks sets, the Day and Planet grey Daleks are they the same? And did they ever release any of the two years ago?
It's definitely a set made for army building much like with the Power set but it's really disappointing that we don't get the Supreme Dalek but if the rumours are true about a 2nd Planet set then hopefully we'll have the two unique ones or just the Supreme and another drone which I'd be fine with cause it be another one to add to the army
These History of the Daleks sets have been great so far but I'm looking forward to the next few as we're getting into the Davros era, which hopefully means we'll get some updated re-releases of previous Davros figures.
Surely though, the wise thing to do in this set would have been to release one of these and one of the different grey drones, the one that looks like a genesis version. Glad they changed the eye stalk though, that does look very cool!
I still got the supreme dalek from that story also this was the first story of the Time lord victorious. And this was my first dalek story to watch. And I will get this set soon.
With everyone else planet supreme missing here. My fave dalek livery here they were going genesis grey but this is such a good dalek colour and gun is black
I'm with everyone else, and disappointed we didn't get the planet of the Daleks Supreme. To be honest this is the first really disappointing wave of figures in a while.
So disappointing. I hate how CO think they can just make ridiculous variants instead of accurate figures. Why were the silver guns necessary? Believe it or not, more would sell if they were accurate!
@@JamesMondasian oh I bloody hope not, like they did with the sound effects version. The black gun looks so cool as well as the projectile weapon they get later
Batman March please don't take this personally , but please try not encouraging People to Army Build . It makes it extremely hard to buy to these Daleks because they sell out too easily , I missed out on the Day of the Daleks sets because people wanted to army Build the Gun Metal Dalek now I am forced pay 4 x the price on ebay.
