I don’t understand how you and other Doctor Who animators are not hired by the BBC to make such great animations like this from big finish audios it would literally help the Doctor Who fandom so much

Well the Doctor does describe it as a many-headed hydra later on.

@@Silvertardis The way The Doctor describes it, I pictured all of them sitting in chairs, hooked up to machinery, their bodies withered but undying, their heads with cables sticking out.

What exactly was your interpretation of the Committee then?

​@@benboswell31in the audio the Doctor describes the remains of humans plugged into computers. I imagined something like 20 of the Controller from Bad Wolf but mummified

@@michaelinlofi Yeah, I imagined them more like the proto Cybermen in World Enough and Time, wired into chairs around the future Cyberplanner core from the invasion.

Yep, they are the governing committee, brains in jars networked together. They fuse later in the story and become a single consciousness, the Cyber planner.

The one I speak of has been in the work for months, and I planned to do some voice recording in the past few weeks, but being locked in the house with my family has made that quite hard. Just know that I try to take the best care of myself, and I put the same amount of care into my animations. I prefer the implication that either they've been reduced to a few chunks of brain in a rat's-nest of machinery - or that whatever state their bodies are in means they have to be kept in gyroscopically-balanced sarcophagi - so tenuously clinging to existence that unnecessary exposure to light, or even the vibration of soundwaves within the chamber, is simply too much risk. Thinking of Felix Jongleur, the world's oldest man, from the _Otherland_ series: _The man should count his lucky stars he didn't have to see his master face-to-real-face, Jongleur thought. He would take away an image of his employer as an eccentric, security-obsessed old man, instead of discovering the unpleasant truth - that their founder and leader was a monstrous thing, held together by medical pressure-wrappings, continuously submerged in life-preserving fluids._ _The visiting executive would never have to think about how his employer's eyes and ears had been pierced by electrodes connected directly to the optic and auditory nerves, how his skin and even muscle grew more jelly-soft hourly, threatening to slide free at any moment from bones thin and weak as twigs..._

True, that's a very good point, and thanks for the feedback! For this I sort of wanted to recreate their portrayal in The Tenth Planet, rather than The Doctor Falls, so they had a bit more head movement. I can definitely see that there probably was a bit too much in this animation though, so thank you for the suggestion!!! 😁

Personally I just assumed that Zheng looking around as the Committee spoke was him absorbing all of the information and listening to them as they argued amongst themselves to find a solution to the issues they were facing. I kind of prefer it the way it is in all honesty, because it shows the watcher that he was paying attention, and gives his character something to do other than just stand there like a drone. Zheng is not only an early Cyberman, but also an early Cyber Leader, so in my eyes it makes sense that he’d be a little more switched on (no pun intended) than what we’re used to further down the timeline.

In their own words "They must survive" and what else does their logic dictate than full conversion.

I modelled and animated this in Blender and added some extra effects and colour correction in Premiere Pro :)

Thank you so much!!! The audio was taken straight from the Big Finish drama, meaning the voice was done by the great Briggs himself. The fact you cant see the mouth move in my animation because of the low angle lighting is probably whats disappointed me most with this... 😞 Thank you so much for the feedback!!!!

@@therealcrizz2719 That’s ok. I suppose the voice is hard for anyone to get right since it was really only the original voice actor who could get it exactly right

@@future057 For me the voice was almost indistinguishable from the original (which is actually one of the main reasons I decided to listen to Spare Parts.)

I have no doubts you're trolling but I put a lot of effort into these animations, and really I'd appreciate if dislikes were saved for people with genuine and constructive criticism. If you do have that, please let me know as the point of this channel is to document my developing skills 😀
