And this video we are going to talk about the negative equity situation going on with the car market right now. Many buyers find themselves in a negative equity situation. If they purchased their car during the pandemic and we’re not sad enough we’re lucky enough to get a good deal.

People need to just stop buying any makes or models. They are all way overpriced, Once the manufacturers and dealers start losing massive amounts of money, they will come down to earth on the prices or go out of business. They have over charged far way too long.

Bought a 2023 Dodge Charger couple weeks ago. Went in on a Saturday the dealership played around so I walked out. Monday morning they called back and said we will take this much off. I said, I need a lot more off than that, I cut to the chase gave them the bottom dollar I am willing to pay out the door. They finally called me back Wednesday agreeing to my bottom dollar out the door. So took almost 5 days, but they will break eventually.

All I can think about when I see a 2023 sticker is that ethanol fuel sitting in the tank and lines for 2+ years. and the condensation and rust in the diff/trans/transfer case/oil pan. And the 2+ year old degraded battery. And all the other problems when a vehicle sits for 2 or more years.

That's the plan. They only want to sell overpriced vehicles to the top percentage of wage earners. A bailout will let them restructure for this. Cut dealerships, close factories, move production offshore, fire as many employees as possible. They just need to keep the outrageously priced models to survive in this climate.

I buy three new pickups for my business every five years. During Covid I went into my usual dealership and discovered the price was over $308,000! They even tried to charge me for special air in the tires. I told the salesman he was going to lose a sale and my business for good if he didn’t get real. He smugly told me he could sell them to the next guy that walked in the door. I walked out and didn’t look back. Recently the salesman calls me and wants me back. He can go to hell. I’m keeping my trucks and my $308,000. Let them rot on the lot, which is still full by the way.

Just watched an old episode of Top Gear. Why did Ford and GM produce small, economical, cars with standard transmission that were fun to drive but here in North America all we get is gas guzzling pickups and SUV’s. You want to know who created the problem we have today, the car buyers that refuse to drive standard transmission cars that are small and economical. All those drivers that have pickup trucks they don’t need, stop complaining about the price of cars and gas. This is the future you created. The Honda Fit which was a fantastic car is still produced but not sold in North America because of the stupidity of the consumers here.
