I know you guys thought the series was dead, but it was just delayed. Introducing #Cargasm Ep.2 driving one of the most iconic american muscle cars of recent years. It's been a dream of mine to drive this particular car since I first saw it in the parking garage at Microsoft and now owner Bruce McCallum (also my manager for 15 years at MS) has given me the opportunity and I hope you guys enjoy it. Probably one of the best days of my life just cruising through the mountains in this unforgiving beast. If you want to see more content like this in the future it was be on the Cargasm channel @ ru-vid.com so make sure you head over there and subscribe. I'm only publishing this video here because I'm so damn proud of how it turned out working with Volair Media (@volairmedia on Twitter) and doing some crazy shots with the RED Raven Cinema Camera they had. Enjoy the show and be vocal in the comments, even if it is just trolling. Every comment boosts my SEO so have at it boys :D

The reason you can turn the key that far back and it wont come out is for listening to the radio without turning the car on or starting up every other electrical features. Its the Accessory switch.

Bingo, not used to this at all driving modern cars that use the first click forward method. But now I vaguely remember this being the same on my moms old Chrysler Cordoba.

It's really weird to see how many of the interior pieces in a viper are the same as in my Dodge pickup. And yes, the ignition not letting go of the key in the farthest back position is on purpose and I actually really like it. I never turn the key too far back and can't get it out, but I do like the being able to click it back to put it into accessory mode.

I'm a a big fan of your channel, but Dodge Viper Engines were never produced by Lamborghini. When Lamborghini was owned by Chrysler, they helped design and prototype the Viper engine block and that's it. Viper engines have always been produced at the Mound rd engine plant in Detroit and then the Conner Ave Engine plant in Detroit. I know this because my buddy Fred worked at both plants and I own a 2005 Viper. Besides that, great review. BTW, I broke my my rear-end/axle, the replacement was shipped to the US from Daimler in Germany.

Great video! People still love these cars, you can't help but draw crowds in this car. I have a B&W 1996 UGR TT GTS. Just about everything on it has been modified, except the body. It's an absolute monster with 1125 rwhp on pump gas and 1500+ on race gas (I've never been able to get it to hold traction over this power level on the dyno). It's run 7.76 at 186 mph in the 1/4 with the factory based 6sp and IRS, and that was around 10 years ago. These cars are so raw and fun to drive, but they can be a handful when modified! Mine makes my C6Z feel like a modern Caddy, LOL! The only car I own that's more raw is the SL-C, but it's basically a prototype race car that can be driven on the street...

Actually I drove this before the crash, editing just took forever. But I still drive my STI like I stole it every single day, I don't let things like a crash scare me away from driving because it's a passion of mine. If race car drivers quit every time they stuffed a car they wouldn't be race car drivers.

a true accurate review. Loud(with perf exhaust), touchy steering, flat magneted to the road, sitting in trunk, ANALOG raw power no traction control just go fast track car deemed road legal. fun and scary to drive if its not hot out and dry. REMEMBER, this car has 500 ft/lbs of torque, so most cars that get that kind of torque are 750-800hp cars like hellcat! So thats what it feels like street light to street light but with only mid 3000's in weight

RE: Key position feature? Yes, it is a feature. It was very, very common on old cars. Pull the key towards you for parking and listening to the radio, using the cigarette lighter (on some cars), push the key one tick forward to be ready to start. That includes powering up electric fuel pump where applicable and running power through the coil. It was recommended that if you didn't plan to start the car, but, wanted to run your electrical stuff, you should use the accessory setting.

The rear click on the ignition is just to turn on the interior electronics. That way you can run the radio at the drive-in, very pre-2000's.

I have a friend who's a mechanic. He told me a story once a guy towed on Viper to their shop (they specialized in racing cars) and the guy told them "make sure you open all windows and doors before you started". Surely, my buddy and his mates forgot a about it. Once they started it, the noise broke 3 windows in the shop. Obviously the exhaust wasn't the stock one.

Howdy Jerry.... the key going back from where you pull it out is called accessory, the new cars have it in front of the insert position......Hell my 68 Pontiac Catalina with its all steel dashboard or my 70 Chevelle would blow you away with how little cars had back then plus that's when you know yer in an old car also there are a few cars over seas with the seat belts that come from the center of the Cockpit as its called, last thing on the CUP holder ( i was told by the dealer when I went to look at possibly buying a Viper) The dealer in FL told me they did not install any due to the heat coming from the floor of the car.....sounds like maybe but idk just thought ide pass that on......I told you to move down here to FL you would see every car ever made.......I am an hour from Mecum in Kissimmee.. Anyway nice to see yer out there playing with a car thats got an engine now.....no more electric shit... too soon? sorry was not being a dick just messing with you.

The key "problem" is a steering wheel lock feature on older cars. turn the key all the way back and turn the wheel until it clicks.

Love the video. Lol you display the information better than Doug Demuro and have great cinematography. Keep the car videos coming!

If it's the American Top Gear, I absolutely agree. The original British Top Gear was great fun. ;-D

the three brits are one of a kind yes. I truly love those slomo shots of the car and environment while getting the things explained.
