I remember riding up and down the road beside Westgate with my cousin. We were also in a Mustang, that head strobe lights, and of course we created a “car club” with a whopping 3 cars, all with the stencil going across the top of the windshield. Nice to know we were not the only idiots LOL. Thanks for the video, and the walk down memory lane. 👍

Oh man, the very first car I bought myself was a used 2001 Mustang GT in True Blue, damn seeing that car takes me back to getting that thing on the highway and listening to my first V8 car the very first time, shifting through the gears, I knew it wasn’t the fastest, but was a damn sight faster than my old 84 Toyota 4x4 pickup. I may have to go out and get me an 03 or 04 Mach 1 or Cobra now, love that New Edge body style.

The best part of that story is that no one died. We all have (or have heard) too many stories where youth + stupidity = fatality. Sometimes I am amazed that I am still alive. Just lucky, I suppose... 😏

The Mustang salvage place Winder Ga is called MPS Auto Salvage. Awesome group of guys, I live about an hour away from there and picked up a built rear end for my foxbody from them. Got damn good deal on it too.

Every Mustang owner has a story or three. Some involving stuff that could get you killed. Mine isn't crazy driving. But I ended up on the wrong end of a gun- naked, with a cop yelling at me. While my girlfriend - also naked, and with a lot of chocolate smeared everywhere - laughed her head off. The cop did a lot of yelling, I did a lot of yelling(and some creative lying), my girlfriend never stopped laughing .

First Mustang was a Bright Tangerine 96 GT. 658 total made for one year only. If i knew then what i know now, I'd have tried harder to make those payments.

That story reminded me of most weekends between ‘92-‘95 in the small NC town we all hung out in. I had a ‘89 Trans Am GTA with every bolt on they made and Flowmasters to top it off. Lol. It was white and had the black honeycomb rims instead of the gold ones. My buddy had a white ‘92 LX 5.0 and everyone did exactly what you said, cruised from one end of town to the other and when there was a race, we had a couple roads right outside of town that was mostly straight for a mile or so. Then right back to town to BS and lie about the race. 😆

Salvage Yard you're referring too is probably Mustang Parts Specialties, or MPS. Cool to see the New Edge Cars getting some love, had mine for 13 years now. Fun little cars, not the fastest things around but like you said fun to ride around in.

I saw one of those 2001 Blue Bullitt Mustangs an hour North of Atlanta. I passed it on the highway and saw the actual Bullitt badge. I knew they were silly rare. I geeked out and excitedly pointed out my window and explained how rare they were and how cool it was that we all had just seen one. Nobody else in the car cared. Around the same time; I saw a guy sitting in his black 2008 Bullitt Mustang talking on his phone. This was in the parking lot of the community college I went to. I waited for him to end his call, then I approached him and complimented his car. I said I know these black Bullitts are pretty rare; most of them are green (I prefer them painted dark highland green, but I didn't bring this up). He responded, "aw, yeah, thanks. That's why I wanted this car. Black Mustangs look good; could you imagine how ugly this car would be if it were lime green, I wouldn't want to drive it" I suddenly realized he had no idea what Bullitt was or knew that his car was actually a special edition, so I just left. I have a lot of stories like this. I need more car friends.

That new edge Bullit Mustang is my DREAM CAR!!!!!! Honestly my "money no object" car. If I had a million dollars to spend on a car or a hundred million that would still be the first car I buy in Highland Green, followed by a 2013 Grabber Blue Boss 302 Mustang!

My buddy had a 2001 Mustang Bullitt he got from his brother and is brother put it in the ditch ripped off the bumper cover and then we all spent a night zip tying the bumper back on and it actually looks pretty good

Rabbit let me tell you..when I was 20 (15 years ago) I happened across a black 01 Bullitt, with a FILTHY carfax..at the time I had no idea what I had. Totaled the car 5 months into having it. When people talk about these cars it makes me sick lol.

It must be curse with the bullitt that they like to be on the roof, i wrecked my black bullitt in 2008 after only a couple months of ownership, hit loose stones rear got out of control ramped an embankment and hit a barn 20-25 feet up and landed it on the roof, cant remember anything after the stones but the pics on facebook will show the car afterwards!!

I've never seen more Short Bus passengers than at 'Super Chevy'. Don't get me wrong... I'm not a Mopar, Ford, Chevy or import guy. I'm a car guy ... And will be until the day I die.
