I just finished watching Markiplier play the Ballora game just before watching MatPat play the Ballora game. The difference is so hilarious. Mark’s gremlin crawling screaming “LITTLE MOUSE” vs Mat’s apologetic attitude for looking up her tutu is really something else.

lol yeah and how Mark bends the rules and boundaries out of curiosity not even looking for lore but finds random stuff (thinking of how he pushed his face into the cupcake at the beginning). I like how they both tried to get to the stage though. Both curious but one is more lawful while the other is chaotic. It's fun

okay I haven't seen ANYONE talk about it yet- but I'm pretty sure the babs in ballora's gallery are only meant to be out-of-bounds prevention. They stop you when you're getting too close to the edge, and vanish when you get away.

@Aster_oid-GchCmt83 GGY is the title of one of the stories from the "Tales from the Pizzaplex" novellas. It's also an abbreviation for Gregory's name. The story itself is a confirmation on Gregory being Patient 46 from the therapy CDs in Security Breach. And with the title of the story being officially mentioned in one of the main line games it's practically 100% confirmed now that Gregory was/is also under Glitchtrap's control. MatPat getting the achievement after playing Bonnie Bowl is rather fitting since Gregory's nickname in the story is Dr. Rabbit. What that means for the future lore of the franchise remains to be seen.

Ryetoast did a pretty good playthrough. You have to skip past his ~30 mins of technical problems (game doesn't accept inputs from most VR setups, Steam Input is the only fix and it's trial/error until you find something that works), but it was an entertaining couple of streams. It's like 9 hours to watch the entire game, but he was really quick to beat the minigames and find all the secrets. He's also one of the few people streaming that doesn't force their reactions. Mat does a good job with it, I'm assuming due to his theater background, but Markiplier, Fuhnaff, and Dawko are just really hard to watch live.

I think that part of the reason Mat had such a hard time with Ballora's Gallery was because since he only has one earbud in, he doesn't get spatial audio. This could be a problem in future minigames as well

If you’re wondering about ballora, it’s basically “red light green light” but with music. When the music starts you have to stop moving. With the marionettes, you want to move sideways out of their way. You probably want to give yourself enough space between you and them as they tend to get in the way. (Also, you definitely want to get the prize after the second food Minigame as it’s quite useful)

I love that Mat did the inch worm across Ballora so carefully and Markiplier booked it across as a scared mouse. I also love that for Markiplier and the Bon bonk game he did not care about Helpy and won first try and Mat took a few by playing properly.

This has made me realize that sister location was MEANT for vr. Like, that game is underwhelming from a gameplay perspective because there never feels like a sense of progression, with what you learn for one night's minigame having nothing to do with the next night's, but this is PERFECT. The game that tried to put you directly into the most terrifying places it could think of now gets to be redone in the medium where you're literally inside of the game, and since it's a minigame collection, it doesn't feel bad that the nights dont connect

I appreciate Mat Pat staying blind and taking his time working through the details of games. I love watching the content, and appreciate the work put in to find the information himself. It could be helpful and he may come across game contents in different ways...but he should probably read some comments, about how he needs to physically look at the cards for mystic hippo because that is how his head set works.

One of the big things I noticed was that Helpy's eyes were not lit up during the dark sections of bonnie bonk. Speaks volumes as to it just being the AI of the mimic as generally eye color has been synonymous with souls in most instances.

God I love watching total opposite gameplay styles. Mat pat methodical easily frightened chooses the games with ideas of what it’s going to be. Markiplier: does everything he can in every way possible as fast as he can except what he’s supposed to, goes back int levels just to get jump scared, pushes the first button he sees and moves as fast as he can while having as much fun as possible

I’m surprised how good Steel Wool did Balloras turns. I’m a dancer and her doing a la second into a pirouette is so fluid and had a good animation. (A la second is basically straight leg on tippy toes and a pirouette is bent leg connected to standing legs knee and depending on if you are in jazz or ballet toes to knee or side of foot to knee)

54:41 As someone who bowls competitively, I'd like to say that they did make a ball like that, actually- it's called the DV8 Alley Cat Purple/Green. Sometimes bowling ball designs are blessings, and sometimes they're curses. Unfortunately not every ball looks as cool as that one, but there are also plenty that look even better going down the lane.

The humanoid entertainers seem to be the more important characters in FNaF-the Puppet, Ennard, Eclipse, and Baby are all kind of a part of that, and they seem to have some significance.

My brain just connected two dots from the ballora mini game: Anyone remember way back in Sister Location the two mechanics who didn’t make it out? Consider the fact that you’re CRAWLING… What if you’re playing as that mechanic in Ballora gallery? You got injured doing repairs, HandUnit malfunctions… and you’re left scrambling to the exit.

from what I've seen, you need to absolutely book it in Balora's room when its completely quiet, but if her song is playing or she's speaking, you need to stay completely still (which means it's functioning exactly like it does in Sister Location, so I dont know why its confusing lol)

@@lucasd6880every folder/glitched file on the screen is a minigame. There’s a bunch of secrets and coins, and some fun endings. Mat hasn’t reached the **plot twist** halfway point yet

He’s gotta finish all the games he access, plus the ones he can’t yet, then there’s the mini lore drop, and 2 different endings. 1 of the endings is major shock factor, the other ending requires him to play a few of the games again and complete certain objectives (based on the graffiti) and that ending is really lore heavy (especially if you complete the puzzle) And that’s just base lore, not even really looking into hidden meanings

You can eat the art supplies until Sun has a mental breakdown over it. It's not EXACTLY the same as the eating collectibles and choking shenanigans of the original, but still something. Oh, you can also eat the candy for the patient in the First Aid levels and it will ALWAYS cause Helpi to start screaming and that's kind of funny to me

The contrast of watching 8-bit Ryan play Help Wanted 2 and being terrified of Music Man, just hating his time with him and Matpat loving his experience with Music Man makes the experience so much better. I love seeing different RU-vidrs react differently to the same thing in this game.

Your Ballora section was completely different from Mark. He immidiately knew how to move and booked it, occasionally stopping for Ballora. He had no Minireenas. Only the Bidibabs for wrong moves. But you were so slow that the game had time to spawn the Reenas

At 22:40, Matt questions whether there are any “GGY” references on the arcade cabinets… can’t speak to that, but if you check the Trophy/Achievement list, there IS a trophy titled “GGY,” earned for “beating all high scores.” (Actually, Matt should check the trophy list anyway; there’s some amusing and potentially illuminating things to be found there.)

I can't help but feel this super strong theme of duality in the game. The Crying child/Micheal, Afton/William, Carlie/Elizabeth, Vanny/Vanessa. It always seems like there is a good and a bad version of every main character. What if that's no coincidence? Imagine if the main story was that of pretending, or going insane. William being the Alter Ego of Henery. Carlie playing along and becoming convinced Elizabeth is real. Micheal's imaginary friend Cassidy. All of these are alter egos, parts of their souls that were made dark just like dear old dad. It's a never ending cycle that can only be stopped by someone outside of the cycle.

@@blondi8047it's better to just get through the game and give yourself time to look for stuff in replays. Matt is wasting too much time on just looking at shadows and walls making theories about dust, instead of actually thinking how to finish the silly level from 7 years ago. Or fully skipping the rules for the mini-game, and then panicking through all of it, dying multiple times, leaving no time for lore. Especially this episode, had almost no lore - and the places that had lore, he was also just trying to blaze through and failing a lot.

It's pretty obvious that Mat's way of playing through a game is just not your thing, but other people like me prefer it.

I don’t know for sure but the biddy-babs in Balora’s gallery feel like they work similar to the ghost Levi and in subnautica. They are there to keep you in the play area and attack you if try to go towards anything but the ext door.

For the Mystic Hippo minigame, I think you might have to focus on a card with your eyes, because it said that the PS VR headset had "eye tracking". I think if you just look at one card without your eyes straying, it should work.

With all the Sun/Moon duality (and their whole version, Eclipse), and how the first Help Wanted established a new continuity where the first games exist as games in-world.... I've begun pondering... so, I remember one of your episodes addressed the possibility that Henry may be fictional, and his "real" analog is the creator of the Mimic. I forget his name. But I'm wondering... what if Henry and William are *both* fictional, and they are the Sun/Moon halves of whatshisname? After all, the three characters all have in common the tragic loss of a child, who lives on in a twisted form tied into the animatronics. The idea that Charlie and Elizabeth somehow represent good and evil parts of Tiger Rock and the Mimic.... Are they literally two faces of the same coin, different aspects of the one "real" child?

I've only been watching Matpat and Astral Spiff play Help Wanted 2 so far, mainly because certain youtubers put spoilers in their thumbnails, one of the main examples I can think is Dawko, but his videos are genuinely good. I've enjoyed watching the live theorizing as Matpat plays this, and it’s gotten me to think about it as well

The Freddy in fazerblast said "win a prize for the little one" and "next time bring the whole family" which leads me to believe that whoever we're playing as has a kid. I know a favorite theory is that we're playing as Cassie's dad, and that Mat thinks we might be playing Mike, so now I'm wondering if maybe they're the same thing? Is it too out of the realm of possibility for Mike to be Cassie's dad? I can see him becoming a fazbear technician to keep an eye on the animatronics so it kind of seems like a fun idea to me. idk I'd have to find proof and I am way too busy for that.

I have no real back up for this but I always saw Sun/Moon from FNAF as a Henry and William metaphor. One tries hard to keep the kids safe but can't if the other gets out. Eclipse is when they work together and stay on task. May just be me reading too deep into it tho lol I also think part of why they keep being used is genuinely just because of the fan response to them from security breach. people loved 'em

I wonder if the "protagonist" is the mimic itself. A lot of these games have either been versions of mini games we've seen before, or games about following what you see/hear/are told. Make food to match the Staff Bots' orders, make crafts by matching prompts, learn how to DJ by doing the same thing Music Man demonstrates, etc. The game takes place in a weird demonstration of Fredbear's Family Diner, but all the games so far have utilized characters from recent games. What if this game is just "you're the Mimic learning how to do things and learning about the history of the franchise"? Just a though. Edit: Expanding on this a little further... It's a VR game. You are in a virtual reality world where you are playing games about hand-eye coordination, learning about colors and body parts, food, things children like, what is hot and what is cold, patience, what makeup/clothing is. I put emphasis on the VR because you are using a headset and controllers... as in, "robot parts", to see and interact with the world. Don't know how relevant this might be with regards to things that happen in the books, don't know what it could mean for the future or how it connects to confirmed lore, but I like my lil theory 🤔
