Ever since I turned 30 I have been struggling about facial acne. Been browsing YT for dermatologists videos and surprisingly I came across your video today. Makes me glad that you are around, a dermatologist who has full understanding on a Filipino skin. Somehow for me that matters. Stumbling upon your video is a blessing in disguise really. Anyhow as for my acne case, over the past few months I have switched from one product to another. Have tried Cetaphil Acne Prone, the regular ones, Benzoyl Peroxide ointment and SA ointment. Just a month ago I had the guts to try one cleanser which gave out good results. In fact I am maintaining it now. Its the Cerave SA cleanser. I use it as a cleanser and twice a week I also incorporate sulfur soap from Dr wong to get rid of the bumps. Works wonder. Now I was wondering if I can incorporate my Cetaphil moisturizing cream. Was really planning to put it on my face but then I stumbled upon your video. Guess I will have to keep this in my closet since Cerave SA cleanser doesnt really dries up my skin. In fact Im only using pea size or even smaller than pea size amount of it. Because I noticed that if I put too much my face gets oily. Looking for more informative videos from you in the coming days. Hi Doc, I think I have dry skin when winter and oily skin when summer. My face always feeling hot. I'm using skincare with facial wash, toner, serum and cream. But it outbursts some acne on my face. The facial wash I'm using is calming my face after. I also want to know if ever I will put make-up like in the morning, do I still need to use skincare or directly use moisturizer, sunscreen and primer before putting make-up? What is the best moisturiser for oily that is cheap.???

I used to not like moisturizers before because of my oily skin. But I finally found the perfect moisturizer for me and it’s not even a gel type haha. It’s a cream with ceramides ❤️❤️ my skin loved it so much. I also use it as a barrier whenever I wear a mask.

Thank you for this. So informative. I've very oily skin. But I still use cream based facial wash and cream based moisturizer. Pag iba kasi ginamot ko, Doc, eh nagkakapimple ako. I use Olay Cream Facial Wash and Olay Total Effects day and night moisturizer and adapalene at night.

Can i use hydrating serum with glyserin or hyaluronic acid for my daily moisturizer? Because moisturizers made my skin more dry (when i didnt use it, like addicted), clog pores, & more pimples on my oily acne prone skin..

I have a very oily skin due to which I havent applied any kind of sunscreen or other products and left it totally naked for years!! I lacked a lot of authentic informations on my skin type and drastically facing the consequences now. Hi, Doc! I am currently having a mild breakout. I already had a breakout last year and after 8 mos, nagbreakout po ulit ako. My dermatologist prescribed me the ff. last year po: cetaphil gentle cleanser, then this toner that she formulated, then duac gel for the pimps then Avene tolerance creme for the last step.. Avene tolerance cream is kinda pricey for me po.. Is there any face moisturizer that you can recommend/prescribe to me po? (Not so oily face po ako, and currently having breakouts)

Pero po gusto ko sana mag moisturizer kase minsan feel ko medyo tight po face ko. So ito na po 'yung tanong, can I use sandwich method po pero without moisturizer on top na kumbaga base lang po meron kase feel ko sobra naman po yung moisturizer kung sakaling meron sa base and top. I am using salicylic acid 2% serum and salicylic 2% face wash as well currently and I feel no dryness on face infact after few hours of serum my face gets oily, would you still suggest a moisturizer for me? Hi doc. Magtatanong lang po ako kasi, I used the advance rejuvenating set ng hello glow dahil nagwoworse na yung mga pimples and black heads ko and it was my first time encountering it. Okay naman po sya no harsh feeling sa skin but then after a week of using it mas lalo po nagworse yung pimples ko para syang nagiging acne na then marami akong nararamdaman na bumps na parang magiging tagihawat na, naging good side nya lang nawala yung blackheads ko. Akala ko kasi purging stage parin kaso po nababahala na po ako kasi walang nagbago after 2 months ko syang gamitin and still continue using it. Ano po kaya marerecommend nyong gawin ko. Sana po matulungan nyo ko. By the way po my skin type is oily skin po.
