Galaxy filaments look like brain synapses, so I guess we live inside someone else's head.... literally 🤔

Brilliant video. This made me think of the saying “we are the universe experiencing itself”😊

Hey everyone, I hope you would consider joining us on Patreon! Pledging any amount gets you access to our Discord server where you can get access to my collection of books, including all volumes of Jung's collected works. I will also be discussing the ideas presented in this video there, so if you are able to contribute it would be greatly appreciated!

The idea that consciousness collapses the wave function is not generally accepted by scientists for the reasons stated in this video. However, these issues can be addressed if we posit that the universe itself is conscious. That is the crux of the argument presented here, and if it is true, it effectively solves the measurement problem. If you're thinking to yourself "wave-function collapse?" "measurement problem", check out the video where I define these terms more precisely.

Excellent presentation. I closed my eyes and was able to visualize much of it as you make sense out of something that is often hard to grasp.

Very well explained! Love the visuals. Even my girlfriend (not so into as I am) watched 50% and could understand it. Did you sped the video up to make it more fast paced btw? For me it worked staying engaged!

Again, great explanation! It seems you agree with Bernardo Kastrup that parsimony is a legitimate criterion for judging ontologies, as do I. I listened to the first of two of last year's conversations (on Kurt Jaimungal's podcast) between John Vervaeke and Bernardo Kastrup and this was a point of some disagreement, but I really didn't understand Vervaeke's problem with it. I'll listen to the second one soon.
@nexusvoid314
@nexusvoid314 Год назад
I would agree with Vervaeke and argue that parsimony is a good guiding principle, but it isn't indicative of absolute truth. It could be that the universe isn't scrutinizable at all levels, so some things we can never know for sure, or they may just be hard for our primate minds to comprehend.

As I've commented previously, a brief venture into 5-MeO will render the entire answer self-explanatory.

@@nexusvoid314 The eerie feeling you get when you describe some of things in this excellent video is like a very low-level dimethylT experience... I can tell you're feeling it by the way you're describing some of the ineffable concepts here. There is some sort of extra-conscious impulse or hormone, I dunno maybe cortisol, that keeps everyday thinking always *right on the edge of grasping the nature of existence; the tryptamine will remove that completely. You won't have anything intelligible to say afterwards because you literally became everything during the experience, and any sentence in language by its nature contains a subject and object/verb which already divides the world. The bizarre thing however is that we are already everything, so how a hominid consciousness ever found a way to believe it wasn't is incomprehensible. Hopefully you'll try to explain though after your experience, I look forward to it! :)

My issue with quantum theory started in college level physics. It seems schizophrenic... They take a mathematical proof and prove it with experiments that rely on sensors and measurements that have really no control calibration. Second, they have huge paradoxes that are not shown to happen in real life. There's 2 channels I recommend on the issues with qt: "Itsbs" and "see the pattern"

Sorry for the multiple replies, this site loves to auto censor on keywords so I had to try other ways of saying things without it getting deleted. Since 2020, censorship of establishment science has been brutal

Brilliant as usual. But the phrase “apparent linearity” may be the problem. Time may not exist like frames in a movie strip. It may always be now, the eternal now. We’re not moving through time. Because we have hunter gatherer minds we create narratives but nature doesn’t care about narratives. The future is always in a state of probability until it’s collapsed. When Edwin Hubble in 1924 discovered the fuzzy objects in dark areas of the sky were actually other galaxies those galaxies literally existed in a state of probability. Likewise the past exists in a state of probability. Gobekli Tepe existed in a state of probability until it was dug up in the 1990s. I guess what I am saying is we change the probability like the spaceship in Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy.
@nexusvoid314
@nexusvoid314 Год назад
I agree, time is much more flexible than we realize, and the past really only exists in so far as we can reflect upon it in the future.

12:32 maybe it is that since the universe is one whole big quantum entangled wave function, that the fact the universe just got observed means that the massively complicated wave function that includes almost everything we know just got partially collapsed into a universe that can sustain life and has history
@nexusvoid314
@nexusvoid314 Год назад
Actually yes, this is a strong possibility. The wave function gets super entangled and then a single collapse causes the whole thing to collapse. Like I said, the consciousness collapse model is just one possibility amongst several.

The universe isn’t just seeking to know itself. It is also seeking a relational experience on all levels, especially human relationships and our capacity to understand each other has become so deep and profound. This experience makes sense from a universal mind perspective. So hmmm, God is real then I guess?

My insights from quantum mechanics came when I decided to shut my brain down and not impose anything I already know onto the subject. It felt like a revelation to learn what reality is like at the smallest scales.

Check out the channels itsbs and see the pattern to see what quantum theory really is. You'll be surprised that it's as disjointed as the worship of big bang theory.
