I like Analyst Hat Artosis. Having more understanding as to why a move/decision was good/bad, only helps those of us watching to gain in knowledge--which I think, helps us to enjoy the casts and games more.
I personally loved your deeper explanation of the decision to make a 3rd cc or go 5/6 fact at the end of the video. If you were to give a little extra commentary like that about situations that you found especially interesting or needed some more context i would be happy. Thanks for doing all of this Artismo ur a real one.
I didn't know there's a whole ass PhD thesis specifically about TvP Nexus - Gateway build order, lol. W Artosis as usual. These knowledge is what keep me hooked in his cast.
I started playing BW again and this video made me realize why I'm in F league. The people there don't actually scout, they just do the same build every time. So none of my tactics actually work because they cant even see them.
I think noobs put too much emphasis on the wrong things. My understanding as far as what a new player should be working on first is to pick a build order and practice it to death so you can nail it without even thinking. After you have the build order down, you start adding in the unit production. Basically if you can hit certain supply bench marks at the same time a pro can, you'll be miles ahead of other new players. "Strategy and tactics" don't mean shit when you just straight up have a lot more stuff than the other guy.
@@abstractdaddy1384 Just to clarify: Personally, I'm not new. I'm bad at the game right now. I don't have a sense of timing anymore. I used to know when things were going to happen and now I don't. I watched a replay of a game I thought I did well and I was just like, "What the fuck was I even doing during this game?" Was I even present? How did I win? I'm just like off to the side petting my zerglings. My larva and drone management skills are completely gone. All of this isn't to say you're wrong or argue with you, because you are correct.
Anyone counted how many times Artosis said “Quickly” and “quickly” in this video? Dragoon drop gotta be the ultimate insult from Protoss. “I’m so far ahead that I can afford a silly waste of troops like that”.
Pros have found a bunch of protoss insults. Mind control an SCV and build a command center. Build a heart out of pylons in the middle of the map and fill it with photon cannons. Make multiple nexuses in the enemy base. I think all of those were done to FBH lol.
@Artosis do you think Quicky figured out something new with the shuttle? At 9:30 when Rush starts coming out, he makes the shuttle go from standstill to max speed instantly, and then a bit further he does it again. Even Snow doesn't do that, that doesn't seem like random bug.
Hello Artosis! I love watching your videos and I love your voice. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Do more "here is where the game went wrong" at the end. This shit was based
This was one of recall revelations to me, Protoss gains most from shuttles sincr protoss is the faction with the slowest moving units. Instant excitement over shuttle strategies, it just works.
Was running this late morning and didn't catch the match with my coffee this morning. Having lunch now and Dirk Nibbler insists we grab a quick SC match so here I am.
your in depth analysis is great. he was 5 fact at 9:00 and lost all his army at 10:40 - i dont think thats enough rounds oout of the 5fact - not to mention travelling time
Regardless of what type of cast you do... I really enjoy the analysis hat going on at the end to see where the defining moment of the game is. Please keep it up RT ♥️
Also idk if SC BW games are always more varied but definitely there is much, much more variety per unity. Meaning there is a lot of different builds more gameplay variety with same unitys. Roach ravanger on pro level against same race enemy always look much more alike every time. In Brood War, at least for me, I can see similar unit compositions that branch into totally different games.
I understand the dragoon drops. If you imagine a huge protoss attack down the ramp. You having too much those units would get choked so sending to the main they didn't trade that bad and diverted army supply away from terran for the big protoss attack and what ended the game the storm drop
Absolute bulldozing imo - Terran was stuck with 3 bases , Protoss had the massive arc of dragoons , 5 bases vs 3, maxed out army and mass shuttle dropping the main lol. gg no re !
Props for avoiding the all the potential dad joke land mines with names like "Rush" and "Quickly" Nexus First builds amirite? Protoss Rush the 3rd Nexus so Quickly. *cue groans
I think most will agree, that the reason you have the most enjoyable casts, is because of the indepth knowledge about the different situations. It is actually good yapping while others fail to give any good insights when casting.
