Rebecca, Itatakimatsu (I bow back to you) I also watch a ton of Emmy as well. She's another happy generous soul. I wanted to answer your Tuna Question. I often buy Spanish White Tuna in Olive Oil., Ortiz brand. I enjoy it in salads and with mayo (which I make with the tuna tinged oil), but it's so delicious I often just take a hunk of it out of the jar and have it on a plate with a bit of bread. It's delicious (but pricey. I get it at my local Sam's Club here in Oaxaca, Mexico). I've seen several documentaries that address the topic of food quality. The food which we have access to in the 21st century is generally of a higher quality and safer than in most of the past centuries. They bought inexpensive materials (like you do) and served it in high end restaurants and folks couldn't tell the difference. All the best. I'll be digging into the Dollar tree archives ... Jim
You could add a little milk or cream to thin it out as well. Or if dollar tree has sour cream. I have an Italian friend that uses butter sour cream the grated cheese and cream cheese pepper and garlic
one last tip. If you are reheating something and it lacks moisture use steam to reheat it. A chinese bamboo steamer or rig one up with a smaller pot in a larger one sitting on a small rack off the floor of the larger pot. The inner pot lightly covered the outer pot tightly covered...gentle heat. bye guys hugs
Can of chix would work too! Our $Tree never has a good selection of food items. Especially in the fridge/ freezer section. 1/2 the time those shelves are empty.

I don't mean to ask such a personal question, but was your bariatric surgery a sleeve gastrectomy? I ask because I had roux-en-Y gastric bypass six years ago and I've never since been able to eat al dente pasta, as it gets stuck. I can handle noodles if they're really soft (which I prefer to al dente anyway), but I still have to make sure I chew them really well.
