One thing I love about this tech is that it serves several functions. Obviously, it's a stadium bump, but it also: blocks Forest Seal Stone in any matchup; freezes Future decks out of FBEC; freezes Ancient decks out of ABEC; block Dragapult and other decks out of TM Evo in the early game; block the use of TM Devo (Charizard, Greninja ex, and others) in the late game.

@@IMunchGlass Yeah it’s a pretty great tech against many decks. Plus against a lot of decks they hardly play stadium bumps anymore so a lot of decks can really struggle to get rid of it. Honestly thought about putting a second one in the deck to utilize the fact Regidrago is one of the few decks not affected by it at all.

Correct I think largely the no cinccino is most popular right now, causing the zard winrate to decrease a lot as we don’t have that easy ohko option in the matchup without the rats

@@leokiralla4449 once they take out one of your Snorlax’s you gust in any of the opponents other mons WITHOUT KOing which mon took your lax. Then all the energies sit on the bench and they can’t swap or accelerate energy because it’s still all attached

@@TheWillrocks51 If Gardevoir can get down Flutter Mane, Klefki, 1 attacker, and 3 Ralts (2 with Teleportation), then you can board lock yourself. Klefki and Flutter can always retreat if gusted. 1 energy on each Ralts lets them attack to move back to the bench. 3 energy on the Gardevoir allows if to perpetually attack. And then on whatever other attack you have, just don’t use all of your energy to the point that you can’t power up the aforementioned options.

@@sayonse they need very good board awareness to see that and set it up though. Rarely will a grade deck have all those pieces in time. In tournament yeah you’ll probably lose but on ladder or locals it’s a good match up for lax.

I’m very much team stamp but if you’re worried about best of 1 things aroma is still a fine choice in gardi I lean towards gardi between the two in the meta right now so long as you know how to play mirrors well!

@@Qqq-us4nr I’m set on 1 atm but the 2nd artazon kind of acts as a faster way to recover it so there’s still some intention to weave it in as much as I can

@@OmniPoke gotcha. I currently have 2 munkis and 2 artazons but was considering cutting the second munki for a second nest ball.

I should’ve mentioned the ace spec in more detail: cyclones definitely a strong choice too, I made the argument as to why I’m not playing penny which is somewhat transferable as a comment to cyclone but ofc we can supporter dig to find cyclone for the checkmate in those matchups 👌🏻 possibly even saving vstar power to double cyclone to go lone drago I’ve been playing a lot so with the rad Zam too and it’s pretty cool, does open up some trapping lines from gardi players though so it’s a card I’m flip flopping on atm

@@OmniPoke didn't mean to criticize your good content anyways, just wanted to stan for Drago because i'm having so much fun with it lately. Yeah as you said Penny is basically terrible, but Scoop Up is pretty much insane since not only you can use it twice (and you do, believe me) but you also naturally draw into it over the course of just a couple turns. Also i have no idea on why people are not playing Kazam, they probably forgot it even exists because that's the only reason i can think of. On a sidenote: Goodra is a lie.

I think in every matchup I think about using goodra I’d be better off using Dragapult tbh, especially with the gardenia now I’m not having to pray my 1 drago tanks a turn quite as much! Re miraidon: not terrible either but we’re still a combo deck and I want to stay streamlined first and foremost

Goodra Vstar is pretty good in regidrago especially against Lugia you can take a hit from a 5 special energy Cincinno and survive.

@@MrBrad12121 while true, I think because of gardi popularity more Lugias will be basic attacking builds right now, maybe for worlds when zard is back on the map, the Lugias pivot back and then so too does regidrago! Definitely one to keep in mind for future meta shifts

Nah you’re not. It’s really gaining traction in Japan. Run 2 moltres that boost basic fire mons attacks by 10 and move the damage with Munki and you OHKO everything without discarding energy like Bolt. It’s not GOOD but it’s for an archetype

i need to look into this, been running gouging fire pretty consistently with iron valiant, but the constant switching gets tough near the end game when resources are running low. munkidori would definitely take that stress off and be much more consistent imo. i know gouging fire isn’t great but for some reason it clicks with me and just feels good to play lol

I built that deck last week, taking it to locals on friday and hoping to donk some players. Secret box goes hard in the deck.

@@TreeckoTVV secret box is one of my fav ace spec cards right now, was running prime catcher for the longest but have been converting all my ancient decks to play the box, a lot of times i’ll have energy in hand no sada, toss the energy, grab sada and magma and get 4 energy into play (sada, magma base, manual attach) and it’ll save the early game

@@rodrigocoltro No. After one turn you should have two full hands set up or damn near two. Worst case one with heavy baton and then you gust in which ever mon they’re try to set up and take two prizes. You need to sequence the set up and gust correctly but if you tear down one of the other players set up it’s crazy hard for them to come back

I will never question his wisdom and grace so it’s always one to consider, it’s just another level up on playing either zard pidge or draga pidge on their own with the upside of flexibility
