Willis was a good player. He was just a hustle big man that could score a little. He wasnt much of a shot blocker because he had an abnormally short wingspan. But its crazy how the guy played from 1984-2007 retiring at 44 yrs old.
Kevin Willis was a “good power forward” but not a great power forward. Meaning he wasn’t a franchise player and to my point, he wasn’t double teamed in the post. Again, a good player who seemed to be more of a teammate to Dominique than a co-star on those Hawks teams.
That's true. Kevin Willis won a championship ring in 2003 with the San Antonio Spurs, never mind that he was a role player at that point. A ring is a ring, and basketball is a team sport. 🏀💯
Good channel. I think an overshadowed nba duo from 1980s would be San Antonio 's Mike the Stich Mitchell and Point Guard Johnny Moore. A little known but explosive tandem!
Being a Georgia native. The hawks was my team when I started watching NBA ball but overbtime I shifted to Miami with Alonzo Mourning but still liked the hawks. Kevin Willis was indeed a good player I enjoyed watching him!
Jackson Community College! It's just Jackson College now, but I'm from Jackson and my Dad took classes at JCC while Kevin Willis was there. My Dad say's he only said 'hi' in passing a few times but that was about it. You couldn't miss him because he was so big lol. I was always a fan of Kevin Willis because of that, but he was also a pretty good player too. Good stuff.
Actually it was paying him like he was a top 10 star in the league. Pretty much every team makes drafting mistakes. They didn't have to give him that kind of money, though.
"Wasn't very good the rest of his career" is a bold statement from a nerd in his Nana's basement. Other than that I thought the video was good. The narrator is a child so he must have done tons of research for the video. It's mostly accurate and I appreciate that. Well done.
Looking at this video I'm not sure if they were a duo but both were talented players. I'll also say unlike Aguirre and Blackman, they never did make the conference finals.
Good suggestions! I can definitely see Thomas Jones in the future. I like the other players, but it's alot harder to find year specific highlights for defensive players, especially a nose tackle like Rogers
The pistons were still the defending Champs in the '91 playoffs. These were the playoffs The Bulls won their first title, so going into these playoffs, the pistons were still defending Champs
