I am a software engineer so when I read this part of Ezekiel I am blown away at how much detail this Prophet could retain in memory. If I were in Ezekiel's "dream shoes" or "vision shoes" I would be begging for those specs to be emailed to me or shared in Slack or Teams. God must have given these Prophets super mental abilities. Moses had to memorize a lot of specs as well for the Tabernacle and if anything was done incorrectly God would destroy people over it. If you lit incense at the wrong time or the wrong place in Tabernacle, God would kill you. If you touched the Ark of the Covenant, even to stop it from falling, God would kill you. Thank you Jesus for dying for my sins so that I can go to Heaven the easy way, by just believing in you.
This is an amazing message. I'd like to hear a message on each of the points Dr. Carson didn't have time to go into. Truly, God is GREAT. The recent images from deep space of hundreds of galaxies can make a person feel insignificant but the visions of the glory of God resting on the mount of Olives points to the Savior who taught there and then bought us with his blood on another hill. Truly, God is GOOD!
Don Carson really make sense of the historical background of the bible in order to relate it to the present. People need to know that they are sinners, not an easy thing to convince non-believers of, and to repent and be saved, through Jesus' work on the cross. Thank you, Lord Jesus.
What makes me truly realize I don't fit in this world is when I realized the fight is everyday but the LORD is with me like a warrior Jeremiah 20:11. Itis very true that worshipping GOD is not a hobby but a real thing which we must do on the daily.
I couldn't wrap my head around chapter 40. This is God ordained using men like Dr Carson to speak to us and helping us understand His word. So grateful. Glory be to God!
Ezekial's Temple has been under construction since the day of Jesus Christ's resurrection. Each individual who reads Ezekiel with righteous relish becomes a building block of that temple. The size and accuracy, the symmetry, and the Holyness involved does something special for the believer...it opens our mind and in doing so opens channels and journals in our minds which allow a pure aqueous fluid into our minds which rids our body of stale fluid wherever it has come to rest...and this fluid enters by the eastern gate.
There are so many wonderful truths contained within the Holy Bible. Ezekiel's temple confirms the need of the first two temples as they were laid out but it is very difficult to fit the third temple into its appointed place and by aligning Jesus Christ with the spiritual nature of Jesus Christ and Revelation we find that there will be no temple within God's Final plan because our Deities beauty and light in the form of God's Tabernacle will separate us from our need for such a temple...but the building blocks, represented by the people who have built the image of that third temple in their minds eye will be filled from that stream of nourishment passing through Ezekial's Temple.

The city is near the temple, a full tribe south of Judah: Jerusalem will be in the tribe of Judah. The city mentioned in the last verse of Ezekiel is not Jerusalem
I can’t understand how even “Lord’s table” practiced in churches, every, week, month etc. is Biblical, unless it’s in the original Passover setting, is pointing to Jesus.
Hebrews 8:13 does not declare the Mosaic covenant obsolete! It says “it is growing old” and “becoming obsolete”. That change is in process yet not completed yet. Secondly the covenant will be a new covenant because Israel broke the first which culminated ultimately in the murder of there Messiah. But IN the new Covenant NOTICE- the Torah is written on there heart! Just because the covenant is new DOES NOT mean the Torah/ Instructions are new or different!
The temple seen as the city temple In Ezek 40"1-5, is also the temple and house of God on the mountain in the LAST days in Micah 4:1-4. It is also the dwelling place and sanctuary of God with his redeemed in Ezek 37. It is the throne of God, holy mountain, holy city and the expanded Jerusalem of the restoration of the last days through the NC ( Deut 4:23-29, Jer 31, Isa 54:1-10). , where the gentiles also unite themselves to Jerusalem to be a part of Gods people Zech 2, 8. It is the house of God for all nations where the gentiles are also its ministers who offer sacrifices on the alter as those who have a circumcised heart and are made a part of Israel Isa 56:1-10 This is the temple which the branch who sits on the throne of God as priest king who is the son of David will build in the restoration of the NC which was the occur in the last days. ZECH 6:12-13. Thus it is the temple of God which is built in the fulfilment of the Davidic covenant by the son of David whose type was Solomon.. 2 Sam 7. It is this Jerusalem and city whose king Is the branch who is the son of David . Jer 23, 30, 33, this is the city whose name is the Lord our righteousness. Hence this temple is the redeemed people of God made the kingdom of Christ and his dwelling place as a Temple. For this reason in 2 Cor 6:14-17, and Acts 2 the church is set forth as the temple of God in the restoration and also the mountain of God in the last days where his presence comes to dwell in it and causes the gospel which is the NC to go forth to the nations to bring them to become his true worshippers as Micah 4, Jer 3:14-18, Zech 8 said. Thus, the temple city on the mountain in the restoration, is the church as the temple of God and city where God dwells. It is also the city temple which is the holy city of Isa 60, which is worshipped and is also called the lord our righteousness which is the branch. Hence Christ is also the city temple himself . For this reason the measurements are his perfections as the holy city and temple of God where God is perfectly served in righteousness . Thus the church made holy and righteous by christ are the sons of Zadok who are the priest of this temple and also made the place from which flows the living waters by the indwelling spirit are also set forth as the temple. Also christ made the place of the living waters as John 4 says ,the tabernacle of GOD as John 1:14, Col 2 says is also seen to be the fulfilment of the temple which is the kingdom of heaven.. . He is the pattern which we are being built as a place of God's habitation Eph 2. Hence this temple in regard to us, is currently being built . It is the kingdom of heaven in the earth even the NJ manifested as the church of christ being built by Christ through his anointed lampstands who are his priest kings just like Joshua and Zerrubabel and through the gentiles just as Hiram was used to build the temple of Solomon Zech 3, 4, . Hence completed, the temple city on the mountain will be fully revealed in the earth as the NJ which is the NHNE made the kingdom of Christ where he dwells as David with his priest kings who are also his sons . This will be the temple of God where He dwells and it will be Jehovah Shammah as Rev 21:1-5, Rev 7:9-17 shows. Thus the temple of Ezek 40-48 is NOW and NOT yet, with the rising living waters it grows until it will fill the whole earth at the 2nd coming . This temple on the mountain is the very obe which was the pattern after which the tabernacle was built by Moses and is the heavenly tabernacle as Heb 9 says. Thus the Church is the heavenly temple on the earth ,, and it will be manifested as the temple of God which is also his holy city at the 2nd coming when Christ completes it and removes the curse from all the earth togther with the kingdom of this world. Dan 2:33-44, Rev 11:15.
Friend, I hope by now you have been corrected by the Holy Spirit. The Lord Jesus Christ Himself will build this Millennial Temple as well as the city New Jerusalem. Zech. 6:12,13; John 14:2; Rev. 21,22
It is interesting to see the restoration of the temple - it happens from the inner court where God Himself illuminates whilst those outside the courtyard looks for illumination from the stars, sun and moon - they shall trample on the outside courtyard for half the time (rev 11) until the Lord takes away until the Lord takes away their joy and glory from the detestable things and the prophets inside will no linger be mute. (Eze 24:25)
Why should I look back on an empty cross, when Christ is risen and seated in the heavenlies. My apostle Paul tells me to follow him as he follows the risen Lord and the Gospel of Grace in Romans thru Philemon. That way I look forward to the Harpazo that is next in the New Testament.
Wrong! It says tell the House of Yisra'el, nott the people of Yisra'el (bnei Yisra'el). Yehezk'el's message is to the House of Yisra'el... not the House of Yahuwdah, not the people of Yisrsel. This is for the idolatrous and adulterous church, who don't know that they are the descendants of the House of Yisra'el, therefore, they are the House of 10-tribe House of Yisra'el.
