Hi David thanks for the reply and for watching the content. I'm glad you enjoy the videos 😎. I do try and put across interesting faults, I'm working on a "back to basics" series to try and help people move up tech life which should be good. Can't believe you got bored of trucks! I've done a bit on LCV as a workshop controller for fiat professional but I leave anything under 7.5 ton to my girlfriend now 😂. The trade needs all the publicity and help it can get so fingers crossed I'm helping it along. Hopefully I should have another video this weekend!

Hey Beny! Thanks for the comment! That must of been on hell of a find. The VTG *I think* does a positional sweep before starting. You would of thought you would of got fault codes for that! But well done and a great find!

Hey John, glad you enjoy the videos 😎. I must do a engine ECU once a week. DAF have improved the design but with so many vehicles on the road were still doing them every week. As for the cost of drum replacement it couldn't of failed at a worse time, you would of thought they would have a spare ECU to throw on it to get it going again to get the load off.

@@TRUCKTECHUK thanks man. i have 2 trucks. my 66 plate ecu went just after i had a new drum. lucky for Me. Ford and slater daf had a ECU on shelf. my 15 plate has same ecu so i was always gonna get out of it. just meant killing the other truck. But the guys that only have 1 truck are screwed because Daf never seem to have them in stock/must provide proof ECU failed. By this time The Egg has boiled. Thanks again. Keeps the vids coming. have a nice afternoon. P.s do you know if its possible to remove the security/so that ecu would plug and play without programming on another truck. just to start/move truck to spin the load out. its a horrible feeling that concrete going hard and nothing can be done. A donky engine for the hydrolics works but means tipping the concrete wherever the truck stopps. wich gets you a big fine.

The dashboard does not turn on the central panel and the adblue, temperature, air clocks the dashboard is fine I tried it in another l truck and it works fine tengo solo codigos de falla en el modulo de motor y son de red can de los botones del volante

Hey Gaz, thanks for the comment buddy 👍. AS-TRONIC runs on V-CAN1 so you're looking for red and yellow wires at 56D:13 AND 14 at the bulkhead to frame connector 101F:5 AND 6. I take it you don't have any comms with EAS? fault in the DMCI for no chassis number for EAS?

@TRUCKTECHUK that's awesome thanks Russ, yes forgot to mention emission light is on also. Thought I'd eliminate the sacred power and ground's to both engine and gearbox ECU then pin to pin the gearbox harness. Typical Daf has insulation tape everywhere. Many thanks for replying . . . If ever you need any info on Hitachi trains or old Mercs I'll reciprocate haha.

@TRUCKTECHUK I have no access so can't confirm chassis number in DMCI unfortunately. Been out the game a while and my jal test won't connect.

Hey norb 👋. Its what I like about this job, it's never the same old camshaft job 😂😂😂. Since helping out down at this other depo the work is definitely more fix it on the spot and with a smaller stores I just don't have the parts I need so end up doing less than ideal repairs 🙈. Oh I've not seen the new EMAS sensors, suppose people still can't tighten them right 😂. I did very little packing 🧳 but Id write a blog post on the flight over and watched LinkedIn business development videos on the plane 😂. Just need to find paccar truck over here now
