You can use the slider on procreate while you draw and slide it to the thickness you want it to be , I bought the crayon pen and I found that I still think it is basically the same thing

Im a CS student and i really like the crayon better that apple pencil for class notes. The missing pressure sensitivity makes all my text uniform and linear, also for 39€ instead of 90€ it’s total worth to miss that feature if use in school except for art

Love your passion in going paperless, but I bought the Logitech after watching your first video. Meh, I’m not sure what you saw in it but I respect your viewpoint. I returned it. I bought it for my iPad Mini 5 then saw your vid on the mini. We’re still on the same page, love it for light work.

But I am also still convinced Crayon is a good alternative for people who don’t need the pressure sensitivity and who want to use it as one stylus on different iPad versions. It's not only schools, it's also professionals that can make the choice for the Logitech. I'm an Engineer and now on my way to a Law Degree. I only sketch. I can't draw for &&@*. I use CAD and modelling but not on an ipad. My main need on an ipad is to highlight, annotate, take notes, comment on documents etc. The Logitech is ideal for that and it has comparable palm rejection. For my occasional use it's ideal. I also think the design is better than the Apple Pencil 1 in many ways. Apple Pencil 1 needed to come with a cable port adapter, better grip texture on one side, charging indicator and on/off to help with its many battery issues when not kept up to charge.

Personally I don’t need pressure sensitivity. I use nebo mainly for note taking. I have the logitech crayon and I’m quite content with it.

Hello Tom, from Brazil! I've seen both videos about Apple Pencil and Logitech Crayon. I'm really in doubt in what should I'd buy it. I'm Just graduated in Architecture, but I don't have an iPad Pro (here in Brazil this stuff is even more expensive! Believe me!) I have the iPad 7th. My idea is use to make sketches and architecture projects. Which one of pencils do you recommend? Logitech Crayon or Apple Pencil 1? I'd appreciate so much If you answer It, because you were the most complete vídeo that I've seen on RU-vid. Thank you so much.

my crayon doesn't work well with notes plus. palm rejection no working. it's laggy on a brand new ipad 12.9, running 13.3. I'm returning it to amazon, it just does not work right !!

Don’t be sad buddy. Your videos always useful with us. In fact, I got an Apple Pencil I just used 3-4 times and now it not working any more, actually it didn’t connect with my iPad , I have no idea to fix it although I searched all the way on internet but it didn’t work. I think all the expensive things get problem sometimes. We just use something that working as well as we need and don’t mind it cheaper or more expensive. I appreciate 👍👍

I followed your advice and bought the logi pen. But I don't like it!. The battery is depleted so quickly!. I haven't found a way to deactivate it after using it. I really regret I didn't spend more money on the Apple Pencil 2! Please don't see this as an attack, but more as feedback. And maybe I am dumb for not finding a way to deactivate it yet. In that case I would love some advice. Thanks for all your other good reviews.

I am sorry to read that your not happy. And I am so glad that you share your experience with us Pawo. I don‘t see it as an attack at all. So important to get feedback in the way you delivered it in your comment. So regarding battery, you should be able to switch the Crayon off at the on off button. Did you reach out to their support yet? On the other hand you realized that an Apple Pencil might much more worth the money now that you have a comparison. Any chance to get a refund and buy one then?

I was able to find this one right after I watched the first one. Good to see you added more without taking the original down. The first video was amazing and had me thinking about the Apple Pencil 2 instead of the alternative. You made it clear that if you want to get the best out of your technology to go with Apple but if you are low on cash and or don't plan on being too creative the best alternative is definitely the Crayon.

I have the 10.5 and the 12 inch iPad Pro from 2017.I tried the Logitech crayon at best buy with my iPads and with Best Buy’s 2018 iPads. It works great with the 2018 iPads. I love how you can use one stylus on more than one iPad without constant repairing. I could not get them to work with my iPad pros. Best Buy checked and said they only work with the latest iPads. I am disappointed.

In nursing school- I download the PowerPoints and use the Logitech crayon for jotting down notes during class. it's perfect for that. very reliable, accurate, and no lag as well. Side note, I have a MacBook and an iPad and still hate apple lol

You’re corrected the previous video. I appreciatie those who have the guts to admit their mistakes than anybody else. From the beginning it was announced the message was it was meant for the scholar with a low budget. I would’ve considered it when I bought my iPad 2018. Tom thank you for these reviews. I had the iPad Pro with Apple Pencil 1 and really struggled with the feeling of writing on the screen. I just bought the new iPad Pro 12.9 and was really tossing up whether to buy another pencil. I am fortunate that money is not an objective for my decision but I really think the Crayon is for me. I don’t need pressure sensitivity, even when I draw in Procreate. I am no artist lol. Thanks mate.

Charging is a major advantage of the Apple Pencil. Pretending it isn’t shows a lack of understanding of the entire concept. I have both Apple pencils. I didn’t mind the charging for the old model. But-the wireless charging for the 2 with the iPad Pro 12.9” 2018 model is far better. And far better than the wired charging for the Crayon. And, these are tools. The difference in the price, for those who are buying it for work, is trivial. For schools, sure. For someone who is just playing around it, sure. That first review sure didn’t have this attitude that the Pencil is much better, which it is. The take away, was that the two are equal, but that the Pencil is way overpriced because the price is ONLY that high because it comes from Apple. That’s a bad, and incorrect attitude I see in too many places.

Indeed. The solution was to delete the video and make a new one containing the info about pressure sensitivity. So it comes to a question of morality vs money: losing likes or give the right info the the viewers. The choice was not viewer-oriented. Sad.

There is no reason to go paperless. This is another myth of the alarmists. New forest growth is a much better carbon sink than older trees. Use paper people, there are more forests now than ever. Fact. Food for thought. Moreover, I don't know why someone would buy a Crayon when you can do the same thing with a $20 Ciscle. I have tried them all mostly, nothing beats the Apple product in speed, accuracy and palm rejection. Even if you are just using a stylus for writing, the Apple pencil is an order of magnitude better.
