The 7th Level That's okay. I'm not on hypes. So one I notices is that Mass Effect: Andromeda was caused by SJW (Social Justice Warrior). EA Bioware are like 4Kids company. Yes. 4Kids are dominated by SJW.
I always thought that the mass effect series is boring, and this is the final nail in the coffin. It's the first mass effect game for the current gen consoles to showcase the bump in graphics and everything else, and they blew it.
I was actually fine with this game. Until i got the fucking freeze on xp gain bug. Bioware seems to have no fucking idea how to stop it and every 30 min i have to restart my game just to be playable and they refuse to refund. Pirating every EA game they ever release now, not getting my money anymore
As a fan of the original trilogy, this is sad to see a truly bad Mass Effect. Say what you want about ME3’s big issues but Andromeda still sucks worse than any of the previous games
The game added insult on top of everything else by: A) Claiming the genophage could be slowly cured with gene therapy. What? Were you not listening in the elevator in ME1? Krogans hired a firm to do gene therapy and then sued them after it showed no results. What the hell did Shep sacrifice so much for in the trilogy if all it took was gene therapy and time? And Mordin? Now his death is for nothing. Fuck you, Andromeda! B) At the end they have the gall to congratulate Ryder for saving the galaxy. Ryder. As in the guy or girl who would have died 40 times if not for the intervention of SAM. Ryder's nothing but a useless chump without the super-AI bestowed upon him or her by the power of nepotism. The devs even recognized this toward the end when they had Ryder be temporarily cut off from SAM to do the final battle so you might be fooled into thinking Ryder had come anywhere near to Shepard in earning the victory and thus the respect of anyone in the galaxy. Fuck that. Peebee's more of a badass than Ryder could ever hope to be without SAM.
The most interesting person of the game was the pathfinder's father, the N7 guy. Now if they did a game that featured all the N7s, and did their stories, I would buy that.
Everyone who keeps blaming "Bioware" for EA's asshole behavior is doing a tremendous disservice to the memory of the original company. Just keepin' it real.

This wasn't EA meddling. This was Bioware tossing ME to their B team so they could focus on Anthem. And the B team fucked it up. And now the B team no longer exists.
I kinda feel heartbroken over this game. The Mass Effect trilogy were some of my favorite games last gen. Sure the ending of 3 was a disappointment, but overall they were awesome. Hell, I teared up a bit at the end of the first because I was sad it was over. Fuck you, Bioware! You killed an awesome series!

Yup. I agree as well. I bought the game on sale. Hoping everyone was lying. And the game is trash. Played it for like 5 hours, stopped, and I havent played it for about 2 months now.
I rented this one from game fly. I thought it was slightly below average. but then again when the game was announced I knew it wasn't gonna be able to top the Climax of Mass Effects 3 (my favorite of the original trilogy despite its less than perfect ending). just like the first ME this one was relatively dull in terms of combat and exploration, only the story drive me to finish it. I may buy it, but only if there are sequels announced. That way I can undo some of my Fuck ups and continue Ryder's story.

This review was over the top. Yes, MEA was a Huge let down but it wasn't a 1/7. More like a 3...which is a huge let down in and of it's self for ME fans.
Honestly I played this game after each patch and it has gotten steadily better and better it isn't there yet but is getting there. The character I played was the female Ryder and while I don't exactly love the character creator and don't despise it enough to go on a x rated rant about it in fact I think the opposite I think you can get a descent female character but the male characters are the ones who look cartoony. I played mass effect 1to three both as male shep and female shep but I still can't play Andromeda through As Scott Ryder. It's pretty good animation right now not quite what is possible on the engine no matter what Bioware claims. They could have done better! The writing has improved too. Ever so slightly. I am only critiquing what is in front of me right now. It turned out not too bad in fact it's good. Good is not good enough because the series of Mass Effect was big! The fan base is huge and they are a more suavely group than Bioware gives them credit for. People from eighteen to sixty have played this game. Trust me I know. Scientists (real ones) and people who work for NASA have played and discussed Mass effect around the water cooler. Mass effect Andromeda needed to be SMART. The story had to be phenomenal. This game was a shock! If andromeda stood apart from Mass Effect and was called something else and released as a stand alone game it would have gotten more praise however it was Mass Effect. So many directions this game could have gone in and they chose this?? Writing was great in some places but had to stand alone side really really bad writing. I still feel this game can be salvaged with a couple of very well made dlcs . Still hoping.

While people continues to pre order games, and forgive greed and unrespectful actions from big studios, these studios will continue to defecate on the gamers faces. The gamers need to fight back, and the way to do it is not preorder, not buy games with micro transactions, dont buy games that dont have yet reviews out. EA bought and destroyed Maxis, Westwood, Origin, Dreamworks and BIOWARE. Since 1992, it seems its role purpose is to look for good game companies, buy them and destroy them.

i LOVE the first 3 MEs,but i wouldnt say MEA is absolutely horrendous,sure its a buggy lazy mess,but thats because EA figured they go the call of duty route and slap a popular title on it and let it sell it self without much effort put into it. as you said the environments are amazing,the new races are kinda interesting,I think a large part to do with why it is the way it is,is because someone found that they were using a new engine with old coding from the first 3 games. and thats what made it into a buggy mess,as for the story....well thats just lazy writing,again,slap a name on it and itll sell..... its by far not anywhere close to the first 3,but i still give it a 4 out of 10,still well away from Ride to Hell IMO lol
I don't know if the game is really that much worse than Dragon Age Inquisition... As if that means anything. I couldn't see either game through to the end.
7:31 Not true on insanity, there it's the other way around, your teammates do shit damage and you have to do everything yourself because it takes them like half a minute to get a single goddamn kill. Though I agree with pretty much everything, it was a major disappointment, definitely agree with the music - I literary don't remember any music from this thing and I love game music. I am not sure I would remember the god damn music even minutes after combat, that's so lame, I adore original trilogy's music, it was like an orchestra. It's such a lame game, if I play it again I think I will fuck side quests and go through the main story, that is at least kinda enjoyable, even some MMOs have better side quests.

Mass Effect Andromeda was not mass effect it was an abomination the real mass effect budget team went into Anthem i'm glad i didn't buy that trash i did watch story online it was ok but im so upset that bioware tarnished the mass effect name.
Shared your opinion for a long time, then decided to give series a chance (well, it was kind of a bet - a friend will read the Worm by wildbow, and I'll play the whole Mass Effect Trilogy). I suffered though the first one, true, but the second one is actually worth it - it got rid of the most cons of the first game and turned its pros up to 11, providing not only a decent gameplay, but much more interesting story (so far - I've just began to play it, got the Archangel), feel of an epic movie and a sense of nostalgia for the best parts of the first game. Sure, the game isn't a masterpiece many claim it is (not even their best game coughBaldur'sGatecough) but it's really good and enjoyable
ATM of this comment, the patch 1.10 version of ME:A is largely devoid of issues it had at launch (except the damn asari clones and piss poor writing...). You wrecked the singleplayer aspect of ME:A, but did not focus on the multiplayer where the saving factor for this game resides. While singleplayer is largely "meh" and only at times just "good", multiplayer is kinda fun to play and I'd rate it at solid 8/10.
You're telling me we should rejoice over a MP segment of a game series that originally started out as an EPIC story-telling single-player experience?. I don't even know how to tell you how skewed that approach is towards Mass Effect.
Ah, well, you see, I hate multiplayer, unless its co-op multiplayer. I got burned out on deathmatch aka virtual paintball years ago. Plus if thats all you have and the servers eventually go down, all you have is a coaster you paid 60.00 for.

We dindn't got what we wanted,we wanted a good Sci fi RPG,we got this Ass Defect,maybe Anthem,but yeeah damage is done,EA recognizes that his game is trash and Mass Effect is not a franchise anymore,EA stated there will be no more ME games after the Andromeda failure.
The game isn't trash, the haters made it so. But whats done is done... No DLC for MEA.. And i will NOT buy Anthem Because of that.... Period. Bioware is dead, Electronic Assholes have done it again...
