I'm convinced that the big investors and analysts are trying to scare us to keep us poor and ignorant to the market.. because its steady doing good after all the jobless and market crash talks
I'm a canadian student at Niagara college. We have a lot of international students. I have noticed that most Indian students stick together in small groups. I have also seen girls being mean and unkind to those who are trying to befriend canadians. I can understand the desire to keep India close when you are far from home, but putting yourself out into a 'real' Canadian atmosphere includes regular interactions with us. Please get to know some of us! Most of us would love to help you transition here!
watched up to 12 minutes of your video, have to comment, born in Ottawa, remember standing on snowbank in front of our rented duplex home, I was 8 years old, our family celebrating at next door neighbors home, at midnight light snow was falling and could hear many church bells ringing in the distance, this was start of our centennial year 1967, riding in a horse drawn sleigh is like that feeling, winter here is a wonderful time after the heat of summer here, my friends would come to my grandfathers cottage at Constance Bay near Ottawa and spend the weekend ice fishing, we found the best temperature to fish was -18 C. We would head home Sunday afternoon with sunburnt faces and eyes crying from the sun blindness. What I have taught my kids is to hold the door open for other people coming in behind you, do not swear in public, speak up and thank people, do not litter, doors and windows must stay closed in winter, I studied printing specialty courses in Ottawa Technical High School and started first job in small print shop, the owner hired me at first interview and started the next work day, in the first week I was helper with folder, gather stitcher machine, sweeping floor, when there was no work needed I told my supervisor I was available for more work and would clean around the pressroom, by the second week, the manager and owner came to see me and promoted me to pressman on AB Dick duplicator, I had immediate responsibility to print weekly news flyers going in mail each Friday for Ottawa Construction Association, the job had to be completed by 2pm for the items to be folded and stuffed in envelopes, all staff would help to meet Canada Post deadline for the nearby station to mail all the envelopes. You have to work more than 100%, show you can get job done, can handle problems yourself, always let supervisor know of a better way to do something, never sit around on a job, find something to work on, I had to wear winter boots in the winter because bottles of water were freezing sitting on the floor by my press, you have to adjust to problems but let your supervisor know what is happening, I became federal servant by luck, I worked 6 years minimum wage but it gave me experience working on computer SAP system Compaq, HP parts returns and got the agency temp help position with that experience and the office staff knew I could be depended on for working overtime, solving problems, without management getting involved. You dress for winter here, a national chain Canadian Tire and their Mark's stores take good care of proper clothing to wear, it is always warm in the sunshine here. Greetings from Nova Scotia
Hi ! I moved to Canada 4 years back. Your video is good and very realistic. All the points are spot on and whoever is planning to move here must certainly watch this video and see if they can make the move smoothly. It’s also going to be a team work so both husband and wife must be prepared to work as a team. My husband is very helpful and I get stressed easily. His cool and calm nature help me settle well. I moved here with 2 young kids so the initial months were very challenging but now we are all well adjusted. Kids are going to school and things are well balanced now.
@Harsh Giri cause you are investing 30-40 lac +3-4 years too and seeking that you will get 2 or 3 lack job and have to work like a donkey but that's not a big issue Problem is no one going to respect you Indian like BIHARI working in PUNJAB and taxes is also so high and cost of living is also high ☺ Question is why we go there ? If you can invest 30-40 lack you can easily earn good amount not a big issue if any doubt you can invest with us i guarantee for that Best thing about Canada is Safety You are totally safe everytime and administration is superb 👌
I was thinking about what you were saying regarding how if you don't have friends and family in Canada, you might be lonely and homesick. There are a lot of lonely Canadians too! We have small families and value our independence but that causes isolation. What many Canadians do to solve that problem is go out and Volunteer (which also helps you network) You can find organizations that align with your career who will sometimes offer free training or certificates. Where I live, you rarely see South Asians volunteer, it's more common to see that around Vancouver which is a big city. Speaking for myself and the people I know, we are willing to brfriend anyone of any culture but it's very hard to know people who you don't share a social circle with. I highly recommend volunteering to those who wish to thrive.
Why you both are soo negative? Everybody have to face difficulties when they move to some other place but instead of helping them you guys are scaring people by saying don’t come to canada..is that place you own? Lol guys you are nice but don’t try to manipulate people by saying this is not a place for u bla bla. But in short you can motivate them and help them by sharing your own experiences in a positive way. Hope you will understand thanx
These are actually some of reasons why people leave canada because they can't adapt to the Canadian culture. They are just trying to educate people to not complain about certain things after coming there even after seeing this.
These folks are the kind of immigrants we want, not only in Canada but especially in the US. I guess you are in BC. Honestly presented by an educated, assimilating, skilled and well-spoken couple. Very well done and informative video.
Believe me theres lot of well mannered educated people who want to live in west. Take my case i have a masters degree in electrical engineering and have 3 years of work experience yet i fear to shift to other countries because of racism and leaving our old parents behind. We easterns love our parents alot.
@@gametabulas Well said. I am with you. This Campbell fellow is talking through his hat. This is the kind of guy, i hope migrants never front up to. Closet Racist
Russell Campbell I have been living in us from last 23 years. Spent more then half of my life here. In past few years I have noticed why the u.s is bringing people who do not want to adopt the American way of life. They are not assimilating to us culture. If you have chosen this country to be your home. They should also adopt the culture. Those illiterate defame the immigrant community when they talk with big mouths at restaurants wal marts in general public. The USCIS should apply some terms and conditions at consulate before granting visa they must be able to speak white read English. And they will only communicate in English when they are in general public. And the u.s should stop the green card give away lottery. As mr trump says we are not bringing the best with this system.and last point stop giving the asylum to especially people of Punjab India. They have take full advantage of this soft system. Stop giving work permits to fence jumpers.
u.s. employment-based immigration is currently based on lottery decided employment visa, while Canada is pure merit. I guess that change the demographics a lot.
Wow you guys seem very educated and seem to have adapted to the Canadian way of living very quick. I was born and raised in Canada (28 years old now) and I see students and family from India coming thinking that every Canadian is rich and well off. I love how you tell that Canada is not very affordable unless you have a higher than decent job. I see a lot of students sharing and driving around brand new cars but the real cost of living and affording things in this country hasn't hit them yet. Thank you so much for your videos, subscribed instantly after this video!
Yeah, if you're drowning in debt, you can look rich. :) That bullshit works on people who are born here every bit as well as recent immigrants. It's often par for the course in Canada, I can't imagine it's any different in the States (never lived there though.)
Thanks for your honest opinions and not only projecting one side which shows only glittery side.such things are more than for side income a valuable service you are doing appreciate that
Funny that what they say is fought with resistance from JT's govt. all muslim's and radical immigrants are coming in from NYC claiming asylum are being welcomed into Canada with govt assistance free housing while they wait for years to become or denied citizenship. main factor here is using all these Illegals to vote for JT. sad sad day for dictators.
@@torineg.847 Don't know much about Canada nor JT, the fact that you westerners equate Muslims with Radicals is alone, a figment of your OWN imagination. Indeed, a shame.
Very Nice couple and I wish all the new immigrants coming to Canada had this great mindset. Well said. Follow the rules here. Then you will be successful.
Thanks for the video. I already do everything in our house since child including washing clothes, washing vessels, brooming, cleaning, getting grocery cooking etc. I also do service fulltime. I work with utmost honesty and sincerity. I don't get scared with difficulties. I am a fighter. I got 8 Band overall with 9 band in speaking. So hopefully I qualify to settle in Canada!!!
It will be very helpful for us if you make video on the skills and certification that you mentioned in your 2nd point. Also the name of institute and cost of gaining those skills and certification. Thank you.
Our country looks at your education and schooling. You can be a Doctor, Pharmacist, Engineer in your home country or another country but if the credentials of your education, education university/college do not mèet our countries standards you will not get employment.
Do not sell your property back home if you have decided to move. Spend first couple of years working hard your way up and see if you can get adjusted to climate/ culture of your newly adopted country. First five years are very crucial!
You guys have laid things out very well. Most Indians are used to being lazy in India and expecting their parents and maids to do all their dirty work. Yes, I too expected my mom to do a lot of the work in the house. Coming to the US in 1987 was eye opening when I had to put myself thru university for 5 years. The only job I could find was in dining services cleaning trash, mopping floors and serving food in the university dining services. I learned rapidly and I have a great life now, 33 years later. I have absolutely no regrets. Glad you have both adapted to life in Toronto. when I call my friends in Delhi and hear them instructing the maid, "Yeh lao, woh lao" makes me laugh. These friends actually both got their PhDs in the US and lived here for 13 years. Great job! Thanks for the wonderful information especially for those in India contemplating immigrating to Canada.
Honestly when you say 'if you earn good in your countries' it's just funny, because life is so tough in Europe, so tough you cannot imagine, I mean France, England, these countries are dark, dying, without soul, without humanity, with no job at all, of course it should be difficult, but not as much as Europe, Europe is about tight roads, no green and disrespectful people, you can't compare the 2, if I come to Canada I will kiss the hands and head of any girl I meet for not being like people here in France and I will say 'you are amazing' to any person I meet because I will compare it to the soulless dying Paris and I will not believe it
I feel India has many many opportunities for earning. One can be most happy staying in India and enjoying with his friends family, so much varity of food, friends n relatives n ur loving parents. Dont ever leave ur parents if they are getting old and need you the most !
Canada allows you to bring ur parents to live with u ( amoung the few countries that allow that). if people dont leave their parents, how will they explore or live and experience other places? the benefits of canada clearly outweigh its hardships . yeah if u think that way yes . this video is for you
@@ka-md8ue /- Of course you have to wash your own smelly clothes your self. Aint no servants here dear. Unless you want to pay the minimum wage of $15. Cdn Per hour. Plus provide the supplies.
If you are always saying things like “back home”, that implies Canada will never be your home. That doesn’t go over well with Canadians. If you aren’t prepared to embrace the new country and always talk how things were better “back home” you might as well stay “back home”. Not sure why anyone would go to another country and not try to assimilate. If you want to live as “Person X” then stay in “Country X”.
Truth bruh. This country is not a charity. If you're coming here burn your old passport. You're either Canadian or you're not. If you're not prepared to die for this country, you're not Canadian.
Well I think you both said it truthfully. It’s not easy coming to a new country, I can’t get over how people can go to another country and start all over without help. It takes a lot of courage. Good for you both that slowly things are getting better. 👍💯
The Daily Life Of Jay yes, very informative. Lol, my DNA comes from this cold land. I’m Ojibwa and I could never live in a place that didn’t have-45degree winter ❄️. Only the tough survives 👊🏾💪🏾. lol Welcome to Canada 🇨🇦 Most of us are pretty friendly.
Now I am 72 years. I never depended on any of Canada's benefits. Since I came to Canada 25 years back I have been working I contributed all the taxes to the extent ( Federal taxes, provincial taxes, Cpp, and many other cuts from salary every month) Now due to some disabilities I stopped working at 72 years. I AM PAID ONLY $ 500 per month as pension. So disgraceful pension systems. They collect exorbitant property taxes and utility charges on my old house. It looks as if I am renting my so called own house from CanadIan government
Every Indian thinks that Moving abroad is the key to success. I am in Australia and moving back to India. If you have the right education, and the willingness to grow, self-confidence, considering the market scenario, India is the place to be. Hit me up to ask any questions related to Oz'ian life and why it is better to be in India than to be in any other developed country. Every country has it's pros and cons. Have lived in couple of countries and I know what it is in every aspect (Just a personal opinion) Cheer's guys
Lived in Edmonton almost all my life and the hardest part of the winter is not the cold. It's the endless gray (clouded over) during the daytime in the winter. Also the very short days during the winter (9am-4pm) doesn't help, you'll miss the sun. That's what makes Canadian summers the best :)

Great points you shared so that the aspiring immigrants will know if Canada is the place for them or not. Thank you for sharing😊 New subscriber from Calgary🇨🇦
As a Canadian born and raised - you are not wrong. This is a very very different country from 6 years ago. Our government is very unfriendly to its residents, immigrants and citizens. Doctors, lawyers, architects, engineers, etc. in their countries come to Canada and become general labour in construction, stock shelves in grocery stores, serve food in restaurants, etc. Because Canada does not care about your experience, you must start over when you arrive in Canada and take many many exams and years of study. Great video. Thank you for sharing.

You have covered all major points. I really like your point where you mentioned about desi’s image. In many countries, there is a set stereotype for Desi. We, as an individual needs to take responsibility in maintaining a right image for ourselves and our country. Well Done!
Hi guys. Great video! I was born and raised in Canada. I enjoyed learning about your experience coming to Canada. It really opened my eyes to some of the struggles new comers might face. Keep up the great content. #ProudCanadian!
I'm a total extrovert and I'm awesome at making new friends cuz I've been moving around for years. Since I was a little lad I changed schools every 2 years or so. I also hate it when other people do my chores as I want to take care of my house myself. I have even been traveling via the cheapest public transports available in Bangalore (they suck but what to do? 😂). So I think I'll be able to handle Canda without a hitch! 😉👍
My frnd moved to Canada... She is not introvert... She made so many frnd... She still don't hav any job and only thing she learned is to go on one night stand.... That's so sad
If You are planning to get married to the man who is in canada....Please do not get pregnant in Your home country after marriage before moving to canada....that will be very difficult for you to survive here if u are the person who likes to travel and meeting new people because You gonna stuck in home with child....So best thing is to come alone here....spend time with your spouse....know the canadian culture and all rules and the regulations.....get the job....get your driving license(most important )....get your health card....do the important stuff first....then plan to have child....But if You have help, like your in-laws are here in Canada...then raising children here is not difficulty.Everything needs time....If You can’t handle yourself.....how can you handle the baby???? I came here last year in july.....And now it’s more than a year.....still struggling with the anxiety ....because there is no one to help me raising my toddler.
Everything you said is 100000000%%% true. I am.more excited to hear someone finally say the hot truth to prepare people's mind. Esp being a sane extrovert, it's not easy getting around making friends cos North Americans are hyper-individualistic. So many people already have their friend circles, you might think work is a great place to make friends, but depending on the work and colleagues, it might also be the lonely place on earth due to workplace policies and culture. Canada will literally shock you to your bones, it's beyond the imagination and expectation but in all, if you are really strong, you will enjoy it afterwards. Thanks so much for this video
I'm planning send my son to Canada.Already my daughter & her husband are there on PR. my son is a qualified Chef working here in india. so I watch your videos and seeking guidance and to get latest updates. your presentation is excellent . be blessed
I prepared almost 1 years coming to Canada, 2 months later after arriving Toronto I left That's it But have to say the society has high respect to women and I like how women dress over there
Hello everyone...I've been to Canada, and back in South Africa, a failed immigrant,I'm a finance professional. The country is inviting thousands especially from the subcontinent so they bring and burn all their savings in Canada. Its not about how hard it is or how quickly you can get into Canada. Its about what you will do there. There are simply not enough jobs for skilled educated workers , its ok for meat cutters and other blue collar jobs who have nothing to lose, but not for qualified professionals. It's a harsh, unwelcoming country where Ex professionals from India end up driving taxis. My advice...if you are a professional degreed worker in India, Please do NOT mo very to Canada unless you have a confirmed job offer or have done your research. Do your math about salary vs. Living expenses. Good luck. Don't jump into a lake if you can't swim...
What about people who are in the middle east.... heat 48-50℃ ... People are away from their families here too.. have to do their own work too... and since you mentioned Dubai, let me tell you it's not affordable for everyone to have a maid.... People struggle in every foreign country... the key to success is perseverance, determination, hardwork.... I think only in India people are chilled, break traffic rules, indisciplined and don't really care.. that's why you can really see the chances of India's prosperity..
the best part of ur comment is that its not completely rubbish, yea. Its obvious that everyone have their own mindset and challenges, but they simply tried to cover way many things with clarity and straightfrwdly, rather comparing someone with some other race.. good day ahead.
Hahaha ! They are intimating us about the situation how it will be if we live in Canada . He said " if u are able to mingle up with situations in Canada then you are always welcome to Canada there are no person to stop you" . So be understand before u comenting brother .
Thanks For sharing... Earlier I thought will go to Canada or USA but after watching many videos. I thought it is always best to stay in own country, loyal and follow the same discipline life how we Indians as doing outside India.

100% correct information shared by the Canadian couple. Infact I owe to you guys. I came in July 2018,prior to that I saw your video on how to get driving license. I brought extract from Mumbai and was lucky enough to get license at the earliest. Moreover we should also explain the background of other jobs u get in Canada. Working in warehouse,Tim Hortons, Walmart ,Amazon etc. Till the time one get decent jobs you have to start the odd jobs in warehouse and retail center. Moreover we are working couple and we have two kids, some time we have to incur expenses on Day care. Guys who wants to come to Canada kindly this couple advice very seriously. You guys are doing great job. Also share a video on building up networking in Canada. Awaiting your next video.

Yes, life is hard. Cold, expensive, starting from scratch is so true. Not everyone is lucky enough to afford everything. Canada looks all good but the reality is that it is not that great. Not everyone gets to make it big in Canada. It has its own plethora of problems.
It's an industrialized country, and as such, it's very expensive. Sure, some Canadians can do well--IF they're born into families with money. If you're starting out by yourself with nothing, well... It's a different story. Plenty of Canadians have little else in life but working all the time, paying bills, having a house and maybe producing a kid or two to dump into the public school system so they can grow up to be good, mindlessly obedient little worker drones. If that sounds like a fulfilling life to you then go for it :)

I live in Abu Dhabi, but I am Canadian. Do you have an article on religion? That whoever their daughter chooses to marry in Canada, she can, whether her parents agree or not. I love living in the United Arab Emirates. They are open to different religions, just like Canada.
Marriage is considered personal in Canada (I'm pretty sure it's the same in the States.) If you want to marry someone, and you're both adults, it's none of anyone else's business. Just go someplace where no-one will bother you and get married. Divorce, on the other hand, is pretty nasty--expect some big-ticket lawyers to dig into everything there is to know about your personal life. Expect to come out a lot poorer as well.
Wonderful content and very useful ...i am seeing many negative comments here...but this video is very open and practical, many are too shy to share certain things, its like they are not ready to admit their mistake but this video covers everything...Good job guys - thanks a lot

Whatever they said is true. There is no easy way to get "good" jobs in Canada unless u have good connections or very good luck. Be prepared to struggle for few years. If u hv Rs 1lac plus salary in India then no point moving to Canada. Period
When i was new in Canada I couldn’t find a job for 4 months. I would apply at least 10 places everyday online but never got hired. Then i figured that if you are applying for a job in Canada where you have a chance to grow, you should never tell them (or mention in your resume) about your mechanical degree and any mechanical work experience from india unless it’s a temporary contract. Because it gives them the impression that you will leave their company to update your study here.
@@koshallkamboj No kidding, if you don't list any degree or credential of any kind then I hope you like minimum wage! No idea how anyone could actually live off that in Canada.
Be prepared to shovel snow ;) Ps I liked what you said about following rules and making your home country people look good.
