Everybody knows why Lestat follows Louis to his business meetings, but everyone politely ignores it. Until they don't ("the weird goings-on at your sodomite townhouse," "your pale lover").

@@andreabrantley6951 Lestat was older and therefore more experienced. Remember , a vampire gains more self control with age. This fact crosses over into other vampire stories as well. Twilight, True Blood, Underworld.

Louis hanging the guy on the iron gates was a mirror of the conversation he had with Lestat about how that was done with slaves.

I love you guys 😂😂😂 What have to remember is that Lestat is a vampire and all vampires are killers. Louis is actually the anomaly. He’s trying to maintain his humanity. And that’s the true strain on the relationship. And I’m of the unpopular opinion that Louis bears a little weight on the open relationship issue because he NEVER tells Lestat how he feels it that he doesn’t like it or want it. Because had that been my man he’d have heard from me on sight. 😂😂 Hell to tha no sir! But then again, lestat can see it bothers him and he does it anyway and it’s cool until he got his own feelings hurt.

I react the same "No, no, not the cat!" Why animals should suffer? They do nothing wrong. And the idea of eating "worst of them" seems pretty legit since he's a vampire already and needs to eat. Also love his idea of drinking just a bit of blood, without murdering. It can be nice high-payed job to be vampire's snack)

Who's Claudia?! Boys watch the original movie! They changed lot of things but Claudia was originally played by Kirsten Dunst. I won't say more though. Except that this show was phenomenal.

In your defense, cats and rats are much more defenceless than a human, so your reaction is very much normal imo... because it's fiction and it's not like we are making a choice irl between who/what to sacrifice 😵‍💫 So yes, poor kitties! It's fiction, I can choose the cat!

The thing is that the man was going to die at that point, so it wasn't really a choice between the cat and the person; it was a choice between one or both. (He would probably need to eat a lot of cats to make up what one human would be also, which you could still say the human should live on that one.) Louis also notes that his libido has been low because of his diet. They have been together several years by the time of the Antoinette incident; the three-way with Lily was just a way for Lestat to get together with Louis, and Louis, from what we are shown, has no actual interest in being with women. He said "Of course" four times; of course he's not okay with it. (At least if emotions are involved and his sex life with Louis is not what it was.)He said "Of course" four times; of course he's not okay with it. 📺; Louis has more powers... He was about 144-145yrs old at that 2nd interview (2022), and he had met other, older vampires and got information. 🧛🏼‍♂

I absolutely adore this show. Jacob Anderson is amazing as Louis. Lestat is just so perfectly pathetic in this episode. "I HEARD YOUR HEARTS DANCING"😭

I do twinge a bit at all the reactors who refer to _Twilight_ as their lens for viewing vampire media, but if it is the only thing you've seen, you aren't going to bring out _Carmilla, Dracula, Nosferatu,_ Hammer horror, the original _Dark Shadows, Buffy,_ Suzy McKee Charnas, Chelsea Quinn Yarbro, Anne Rice, etc., as your points of reference.

I don't know if either of you are particularly big readers, but if you ever have the chance you have to read the vampire chronicles. The writing is so in-depth and beautiful and adds a lot of context that you wont find in a screen adaptation. Especially the second book.

oh you have to hold on tight because a lot of it is hard to watxh but the show and the characters are SOOO GOOOOOD lowkey if louis asks something from lestat he'd 100% do it but he always suffers silently and even if he knows lestat takes advantage of that, it's like he's trying to test him sometimes. But louis lets him do whatzver most times... but i get it he has so much on his mind

Notice how those soldiers just suddenly stopped, turned and walked out…just like Louis’ brother suddenly turned and walked off the roof. Lestat killed Paul and Lily to isolate Louis and I stand by that theory until Anne Rice tells me otherwise 🤭🤭🤭
