My dad tole me his motto in life is to "stay calm and use common sense." Looking back I can see how that was true because I can not remember hearing him swear or raise his voice to anyone. I admire that and I am trying to embrace that mentality every day.

I really needed this video ♡ I feel like self discipline is my largest personal hurdle. I'm ashamed when I look at how cluttered & messy I've allowed my house to become over the last 2 years. I have been working on it (focusing on small sections so as not to get overwhelmed) but I know I can do better. I have many things I want to do around my house and crafts I want to learn but it's like I'm holding myself back. Thank you for this encouraging video.

@@MrsMidwest please if you can make a video about what shifted in 2018 (or even a response but a vid will help many ppl ) likewhat led you to do these things to be more disciplined bc I am like that now as well just feeling so lazy and not doing what I'm supposed to be doing for myself or my household. Mindset is very important but some how I just dont feel motivated. what to do? The LORD is really using you to do something big here btw God bless you.

I especially struggle with organizing and making appointments for myself. So called "adult things" they just terrify me. But I know that I need to push through. Because when I push them away, I feel bad about myself and like a little child.

Hello I just wanted to thank you so much for this channel! I'm a young woman who's relationship was slowly falling apart because of my tight grip on being a feminist and being very masculine and I'm so glad someone is willing to help women like me who weren't introduced to a healthy expression of femininity and feelings.Ever since I've started adopting more feminine traits, being more nurturing, listening to my boyfriend more and letting him take more decisions our relationship has improved so so much . I've also started appreciating homemakers and mothers more, whereas before I was very against both and to my surprise my boyfriend is now very happy that I have become open to the idea of having kids and settling down. It's amazing what you're doing here. Please keep going and thank you again !

You could be a feminist and still be feminine. It's about choice. You don't have to force yourself to be masculine where you don't want to.

I've been learning this for about 3 years. You and I have the same name, come from the same region in the US, and seems God is teaching us the same things. Lol. Also, I agree that once you get into the routine or discipline that your house is clean almost 24/7 and a lot of procrastination is quelled.

Putting feelings away and applying logic instead was THE thing that helped me start to come out of my chronic depression. It's natural for me to suffer from it, but once I realised, that all I needed was to force myself to be more adult like, I immediately started to feel better. Sometimes the best thing you can do for yourself is to allow your inner critic to control you. It's like being a strict parent to yourself.

My husband is a Battalion Chief of a Fire department and they are always finding ways to make their job less stressful and mundane, depending on the day, during the time in between calls. I’ve begun trying to incorporate this philosophy at home and when I do, I find that I am less likely to balk at the daily tasks. One of my favorite ways is to play your videos while I do my housework! 😀

I'm an extremely emotional person. I can't control my emotions literally, sometimes I get so angry that I end up hurting myself because there's just too much emotion going on. One second of seeing sad news on TV makes me so sad that I just don't even want to eat anymore. A friend not answering her phone automatically makes me feel like that person doesn't care about me and hates me and I'm obvuously not enough for them. The list goes on and on :'(

Right now I'm in a difficult season in my life, working very hard with my psychologist to battle my mental illnesses and build a life that I want to continue living for. Currently I'm studying to get my Swedish version of a high school diploma. Because of my depression and other mental illnesses I haven't been able to tackle it yet, and I just turned 27 so it's been 7 years since it normally should've been finished. Your videos are so so motivating to me when I struggle to keep going and find purpose. I dream of one day being a SAHW/SAHM but right now that's not in the cards since I need to get better. Watching your videos make me feel like the reason I'm doing all this, struggling and fighting for my life, is all going to be worth it when I can have my own family. Your take on personal discipline is extremely helpful and I resonate with your feminine message in almost all areas of my life. I just want to thank you, dear. You have truly affected me for the better in a million and one ways and I always look forward to your new videos. In the meantime, watching your old ones like this one help me get through the toughest days and keep my strength up even when I don't feel like it. Thank you Cait!

You’re experiences are why men are important. A solid man can have a tremendously positive influence on a woman who is open to the masculine. It’s this combination of emotion and structure that build our wonderful society. Chasing emotion solely is the root cause of the debauchery we see in the West currently. You are a wonderful influence and light of hope. You’re doing an awesome job. Excuse me the 2 of you are doing an awesome job.

Great video! You have such a kind way of telling your message, it goes directly to the heart! And I agree with you, your feelings should stir your life, they should help you with bigger decision making, when reason and logic isn't enough to guide you. I think it's a very important skill. Also because you might end up hurting somebody else if your let your feelings get the best of you, and people usually don't hurt you intentionally, so they don't deserve an "emotional" reaction. And sometimes it's not in your own best interest to show your emotions. :)

Always find it very interesting when non-professionals try to explain hard topics. So from the perspective of a psychology student... Emotions will always control your life. It's a common misconception to think you're able to be otherwise. If you have a shitty day and feel unable to get things done there's a reason behind it. And sometimes it's healthier to just give in to that. If you are in a state of "I just want to stay in bed because I feel miserable" and "But I also want things done" you find yourself in a conflict between two aspects. The human being in any case always follows the "feel good" feelings, even in deep depression. So the message of not letting emotions control you is false, because they always do 24/7. In this video you literally teach suppressing your emotions. You are an emotional being and always will be.

Very interesting, I think I’m your example of how any ‘extreme’ can be unhelpful in life and adulthood. I was the extreme, exact opposite. Totally suppressed feelings and logic, reason and brute determination and discipline ruled. That is why I’m drawn to your channel. I still need to keep learning and practicing how to be more gentle and nurturing with myself and others. I’m learning to grow in the opposite way.
