Your personal private property is YOURS... it’s privately owned.... so what you’re saying applies to you and has nothing to do AT ALL with this video.. this military base IS NOT privately owned... It’s a piece of land either purchased or “taken” under Eminent Domain WITH OUR TAX $$... the upkeep/maintenance of said land as well as ALL buildings, vehicles, items, weapons, and PEOPLE therein are all TAX FUNDED. This means even if that public access walkway HAPPENS TO BE beyond the surveyed boundary of the base, and AP did cross over from the “public property” to the “base property”.... IT DOESNT MATTER!!! Because it’s ALL “public property” if our tax contributions FUND IT. Tax dollars don’t fund your house or your front yard bro and even if they did because of some sort of welfare program, that land doesn’t host any tax funded programs or personnel, therefore it’s YOUR private domain where nobody has the right to access without your OK... This is why what you say doesn’t apply at all... government agencies/facilities/personnel/walkways/driveways/parking lots/ETC are OUR PROPERTY... so even if an area is CLEARLY MARKED as restricted access, there is ALWAYS some level of access or information about that area that we are all entitled to. So unless these men were committing a crime, a TRESPASS is UNLAWFUL in the situation shown on this video. Bar none. There are NO universally understood boundaries posted here other than the big sign by the entrance of the black fence, PLUS the hundreds of vehicles seen driving to and fro (all beyond this imaginary boundary) support the reasonable belief to ANY CITIZEN that the entire area is public access.... The reason for this reasonable belief is that is very simply IS PUBLIC ACCESS... unless they confronted & trespassed EVERY VEHICLE that drove into this area without authorization that day, the men on foot should be treated no differently.

The signs AND fences are the boundaries at every base I have ever been stationed at....A non descript nothing pole, labeled nothing, is nothing TO EVERYONE.
At first I was like, "Orange paint on ground means utilities are underground.", but then he moved the camera up to see a giant brown Air Force sign .... It would be nice to have a sign on the other side of the road to draw an imaginary line to.

I was in the military police for 25 years (highest rank Captain). These guys are being very patient. I would've arrested him for loitering and theres nothing he could do about it.
Having looked at the new Google Maps street view outside the base, the new signs are actually at the post markers with the reflective circles, not the orange dots on the ground, so basically the Base Commander did not know the demarcation line for their own base. Very sad for the military, good work Jason.

Most people would not realize that a red dot on a sidewalk is the property mark for a base. Logic would dictate that a sign or fence would be the first indication- not a small dot.

As a military wife who drives on a base almost daily and that sign is your demarcation line!! 100% that is why there is a turn around right after it for people who accidentally went to far!!!
@Marcus Robledo Not 100% on the legal wording of the public access rules along that private roadway, but the federal property for Buckley airforce base begins 45' from the centerline of mississippi ave (which is not necessarily the centerline of the build roadway) per the subdivision plats.

Orange paint is for communications lines....notice the green paint on the road which indicates a sewage line is in that area. This paint is for utility locating which is done prior to any form of construction which may require breaking the ground. The linear form of the dots is to show the travel of the communication lines which, if they are fiber optic, MUST run in a straight line. I HIGHLY doubt the orange dots indicate demarcation. -Keep Learning

Only thing I can think about now when I see "Aurora Police Department" is how they are trying to cover up the fact that they found one of their officers off duty in his uniform and carrying his service weapon while passed out drunk with the car in drive in the middle of the road. No charges have been brought up against him for DUI or anything. He is working on the force right now as we speak. Luckily the State prosecutor is investigating it and hopefully, he will be brought up on charges and fired.
It's nothing I entered the State of Florida over 30 years ago I came alone and my family was back on Long island. The police were not 100% honest with me on all occasions of everywhere I was living and these illegal activities were happening to me as a citizen. I stayed in the same city for the most part and everywhere I was moving the same incidents were happening my car was being vandalized Rob from stolen one time the Sheriff's Office was directly involved. It's shocking when you're alone as a woman what an overbearing lying Police Department can do. It ended up at 63 a new neighbor moved in and their two dogs attacked me and my little Yorkie smell so he was bitten up real bad along with my arm. I ended up going to the court and turning to them for help he refused to pay the vet bill and they started stalking and harassing me everywhere I would go if I left town they followed me if I was in town they followed me if I went out the back to dump my garbage they were there if I went out the front to walk my dog they were there true. I had to serve the court document as instructed by the court so I went to an empty apartment and taped it on the door and left on camera the whole time. The next thing I know a local vendor tells me that I had an arson charge. I went to the police department and it was so it turned out no fire department was called to either address on the day that I posted the court document. I went to the chief of police and he lied to me immediately and told me that the officer hit the wrong drop down box. I went home and read through all the paperwork and realized that they had lied they called my court document a personal letter with malicious intent. I went through even more paperwork and realized that the office worker the new neighbor or working together the whole time they had filed two incident reports actually she didn't know of but three all together and the office manager didn't sign them didn't inform the manager nor myself the person that it was written on. However they showed up at the courthouse because the new neighbor had switched the situation around trying to get an order of protection and she did I was not at the court appointment that I have filed because it was within 3-day shockingly and I was still sick on the medication and the dog attack. The next thing I know I'm going to court nobody knows anything about the arson charge how odd. A lot happened in between but I realized without a shadow of a doubt the paperwork proved that this was basically a setup a true setup and it wasn't the first time. I caught the lieutenant the sheriff's office which was my best friend son-in-law on my phone texting right over my text I got the wife really mad on my phone cuz I suspected it and she got mad and started sending me nasty notes texting over my texts and right straight to my email. I knew they were involved I knew he was a dirty cop all along he got fired from the sheriff's office so did the officer that filed the false report of arson they were both let go from their jobs. I was being targeted because I knew illegal activity that happened to Lieutenant at the Sheriff's Office my best friend's son-in-law they got caught in a pedophile situation and I knew of it and I was being set up stalked harassed and everything else.
Loved those two kids. The sergeant and the investigator. They were the two real ones in this video. They didn’t come in with a chip on their shoulders.
i was in the army 14 years and the fence is the demarcation line and besides that get a gis survey from online it will show the boundaries of government and civilian land
@Las Vegas Free Press I disagree that the line must be clearly marked... nothing requires that...however dont expect people to not cross it unwittingly. Then...once they do cross it, they can be informed and asked to leave. Not all property lines are clearly marked yet they are still enforceable.

PINK - there is ACTUALLY another Sign on each side of the Driveway where the NAME of the BASE is, the DEMARKATION LINE is Wherever THEY say it is, its called a LAWFUL ORDER, and NOT Obeying a LAWFUL ORDER can lead to TAZZING and ARREST.
You do not get to turn around until you show ID.You cannot just drive up to the gate and decide to turn around without police confronting you.You have no buisness there to begin with.
Not true....ever notice how the gate is always embedded 100's of feet in....if you hit the gate you are on property already. they will instruct you to turn around if not authorized....

@bonebreaker1054 military police are for military personnel I thinkkkkkk n so they have local police for civilians that are on property. I know there's laws and courts all in military it's a completely different country in terms of laws on base I believe but idk.

I don't know about army or air force installations but, I know for a fact that, on Navy Installations there is a clearly marked designation of the sites property line painted on the roadway leading up to the gate that is required to be at least 18" wide with 12" lettering stating US NAVAL INSTALLATION. You can't miss it.
I was a 3P0 .. after tech school we got our badge. It does have a number on it but they dont tell us that nor does it matter, the badge number is on the metal badge for our blues but not on the standard uniform. It was likely for older uniforms when they were called Air Police but that was before my time.

Just something I want to point out as a vet so that you know for future reference. Military Police dont normally get issued a badge. Therefore there is no standard badge number to identify them by. They are identified by their rate and rank which they regulary use for identification. There is no policy or reg in the UCMJ by which they are reqired to give a "badge number" when detaining subjects. Now, all service members do have a service number. Their service number is their social security number and the initials of their branch of service. For many reasons, Im sure you can understand the MPs refusal to give out that number to someone recording them with intent to distribute that recording. But, in the future, when dealing with military members, ask for their rate and rank. The investitgator was a civilian and Im unfamiliar with their policys and regs but I do know that NIS Agents were also civilians and they were issued a badge and FID. Short of that, outstanding work. Keep hammering!
No, no, no. Rate: like 3 level, 5 level, 7 level is an internal rating for OJT (on-the-job training). And, the "investigator" is OSI.. the Air Forces equivalence to the FBI. Besides that, you could be right about the rest! Thank you for your service!
I have no idea about the badge thing, but two things I noticed wrong (as a marine vet, thats been out 3 years) is we changed ssn and changed it with EDIPI. That was a change that occurred during my time and as for policy, these guys are air force and may or may not have different policies on identifying themselves (I have no clue if that is or isn’t the case).
I'll bet I can come out there as being a experienced locator for utilities could show you exactly what utility that paint spot is marking. If it's red it's a marking power if it's orange it's either marking telephone or cable TV. Blue is water Green is sewage and yellow is gas. I'll bet they do not know where the demarcation line is and you will never see that map.
As a land surveyor, I can tell you that where they showed you is very likely the property line. Without a plan, I can't say for sure, but they are likely right
@@learls1 I am not sure how it works in this state, but there should be a government website that allows you to download a legal plan that will give you a very good idea of boundary lines. And with some studying, you can easily if pace off of the centerline of the road allowance to find a proper property line. These are also marked with property pins, but again every state may vary slightly with how the mark boundaries and I cannot say with 100% certainty how they are marked, but often they have markers like spray painted dots or small wooden stakes in the ground. And you can often even find a small divet where the property pin might be buried. These gentlemen may or may not have been right, but They very well may have had prior knowledge of where the property begins and ends.

I was watching it and wondering where in the Hell is Buckley AFB? I served 26 years in the Air Force and was stationed at NORAD Headquarters in Colorado Springs and it did not exist. I now know why. It is not an AFB, but a Space Force Base and Colonel, not Major, Heidi Dextor is the Base Commander.
Heidi Dextor is unlikely to be the same Base commander as 4 years ago. I just looked at Google street view maps and it appears that absolutely nothing has changed in regards to Markings, Lines and Signs. You can see the shadow from the Camera car right in front of the closable official perimeter gate. ALL this time and absolutely nothing “appears” to have changed except that the Orange Dot is surely a bit more faded and the fence post with reflector got run over years ago. What went on here is like having a sign in the middle of a Minefield that reads “WARNING YOU HAVE NOW REACHED THE EXACT CENTER OF OUR MINEFIELD”

Still wondering about the guy who said his rank was Inspector. Do not think that rank exists in the military chain of command even in the OSI.
I don’t think he’s gone back. It would be awesome if he did circle back to some of these locations to see if anything has changed. I’d bet the guy is a civilian employee of the Military.
As a military veteran I can tell you that government property is clearly marked with a large blue line across the roadway marked U.S. government property no trespassing. They also are fenced with clearly visible no trespassing signs. These guys just gave you the runaround.
YES and as The United states President I can safely say there are limits to freedom... Just like you can't just invade someone's home. Just like that you can't go into a base and record everything.. There are rules to these things instead of wasting everyones time here. Why don't you go and record the actual people that need recording like politicians..
It is the black chain fence as you originally showed just in case the public accidently turn in there and see the sign of prohibited items so have the ability to turn around and leave that area without cause.

santiago had no choice in admitting he was wrong. the base commander rules over over him. If he went against the commander with someone filming him it won't have gone over well for him.
im not sure how the laws work in the US but there are curb cuts near the lights on both sides. that would tell me that pedestrians are allowed to cross there.

Jason, You are Correct about the line. I use to visit many friends in the Military who lived on base. Once they had a base lock down and because the line was not clearly marked and they actually had to come out immediately and put up signs and paint the lines because they had cars that were driving up to the entrance gate before learning the base was locked down. And alot of them were parents with sons or daughters on base that they had never been informed were any line other than past the gate was trespassing. One parent was a retired General is why they were there painting the line and putting up the signs so fast.
Man! Thank you for your service to The People! The things you demonstrate at every location you visit could seriously save innocent lives. And I'm sure it has!
