David Robinson prior to back/ankle/knee injuries = Top 3 Center of All-Time. There's a reason he made the original Dream Team after only 3 seasons in the league. He used to handle Shaq easily pre-injuries.
@benyah3390

He made it because Olajuwon wasn't a u.s. citizen at the time, although Ewing would be the one to not make it.

@@benyah3390 Robinson owned Olajuwon for most of their careers and held a 32-16 record against him. He even held him to 3 points in a full game. The Rockets double teamed Robinson in the 1 playoffs series they faced in 1995.
@ChrisM07

@@khale4nia The Spurs were double teaming sometimes too, the reason they were hesitant to do it too often was because of the shooters the Rockets had. Even then that wasn't effective in the long run because the Rockets had other ways to get good shot opportunities they relied more on team ball compared to the standard system of the PG setting things up which made their play sets more diverse than the average team.

@@ChrisM07 good points. Also, watching Giannis play, he's a mixture of Robinson n Olajuwon 😳

An ESPN show debated the ‘12 USA team vs. the ‘92 team the other day. They called the ‘92 Team “old” (their average age was 28.66 yrs.) and seemed to forget that a ‘12 frontcourt of Tyson Chandler and Kevin Love would have been eaten alive by PEAK Barkley, Prime Malone, Prime Ewing, and Prime Robinson. ‘92 Robinson (age 26): unstoppable post skills, guard skills, insane quickness at 7’1””, insane speed at 7’1” (could chase down full-court blocks like Russell or Lebron and beat guys down the court, with or without the dribble, for lay-ups/dunks) low-post defense, weak-side shot-blocking (7th all-time), elite rebounding (25th all-time in Off. & Def. REB) 70+% FTs, snd was DPOY with 4.5 BPG and 2.3 SPG. Those are insane, Olajuwon-esque defensive numbers. With no weakness, and an unfair combination of physical gifts…forget about it.
