He is a class act. My best friend was dying of cancer and he called her and was kind. She has a crush on him for as long as I can remember. And it made her so happy. He spoke so sincerely with interest. She was a musician and he listened to her music before calling her and complimented her. He is a doll. It was such a sad times and he gave us a joy.
There are some not nice people in this world. I grew up listening to the Osmonds. They are truly an American family we are proud of. They worked hard for what they have. Loving, crisp people. They all look happy and make you smile when you see them. I have so much respect for them. We just know Donny and Marie the best. Kudos to all of them.
Who boos Donny Osmond, seriously?! At ten, back in 1973, I had my cheek kissed, my hand held and he winked at me while singing go away little girl, to a ten year old, that was amazing coming from a heartthrob, he was the most beautiful boy I had ever seen! And as handsome as ever that rascal!
Poor Donny he really looked upset and hurt and confused when he thought people were booing him, glad he found out the boos weren't for him. Donny did well to carry on singing the national anthem.
❤️ AGREED ❤️ HE and HIS VOICE are AMAZING!! I don't think there are many girls out there that didn't have a CRUSH (and still do) on DONNY! He's an AMAZING MAN. I wonder what happened at the JAZZ Game in 2000! Donny is a GREAT SPORT ❣️. It's amazing to watch ❣️
YEAH!! THAT'S RIGHT!! I think that the ENTIRE FAMILY is EXTREMELY talented!!! Still!! I had Donny Osmond wallpaper for YEARS!! The Osmond Brothers was the FIRST concert I ever went to. It was GREAT!! I came home totally horse from screaming Donny's name all night. I'm now 64yrs. old & y'all.... I STILL think he's HOT!!!
AWW now who would dislike these two? Love these people. Been watching them for decades. Donny is one of the best male vocalists in any genre, Marie is right up there as well.
Idk what it is about D&M but they throw out such a positive vibe it always makes me smile. They really seem to get along as bro & sis and really love each other. Marie's smile is amazing & she's such a great sport. Also, it's amazing to know that Donnie has suffered from crippling social anxiety disorder, yet he puts himself out there like that and does a great job. That's some real strength right there. Love you always D&M!
I'm a member of his faith. Without attempting to push it on anyone, I can objectively say that there's a lot of it that trends toward the positive, with regard to family relationships and what we feel our purpose is here. My wife has a friend whose marriage staled and asked her if we (she and I) still love each other. She didn't want to make her friend feel any worse, so she kind of hesitatingly said, "Yes.... Probably more now than ever." And it's entirely due to acting on what we believe we're intended for beyond mortality.
This is priceless Dave! This is the first time I have seen this!! Thank you for sharing! And Donny, if you ever read this, I'm not at all surprised that your professionalism kicked in and you rocked it out of the park--YEAH BABY!!! 😍👏🎶👍👍👍🌟🔨💎👑🎆🎯🎤🎶🎶✔🙆💪💜💕💖👌👊✌😎😍
Although Donny Osmond is undoubtedly a very decent guy, he had at least one bad moment on his morning TV talk show when Jean Stapleton and Carrol O'Connor appeared on the Donny and Marie daytime talk show and Donny Osmond made a very tacky request that Jean Stapleton do her Edith Bunker voice! Although she could have given the TV studio and home audiences a cheap thrill by doing her Edith Bunker voice, she understandably refused to do it! Donny jokingly pulled some money out of his pocket or wallet and offered to pay her to do that voice. Very tacky on Donny Osmond's part!
That's on the actor! I've seen JJ Walker do that too when asked to say dynomite! They were beloved by millions in the 70's who tuned in to see these characters each week. "We" the viewer made these people wealthy! Seems very selfish of these two to get all uppity about something trivial.
@@JeepTJWheelin .Wrong! It was Donny Osmond's obligation to show some class and decency by not making a totally inappropriate, exceedingly tacky request of Jean Stapleton to do her Edith Bunker voice just to give Osmond, the studio audience and the audience watching the show at home a cheap thrill!
@@michaelbarlow6610 Donny was perceived as out of line with the money part, I get that. However, I believe he was just being his goofy self with no intent to offend Jean. But it should have never, ever come to that. It was a simple request, something for the audience and fans around the world would have liked to have seen. But unfortunately, some are very snobbish and full of themselves. Jean Stapleton and JJ Walker have proven that time and again.
I'm not surprised that people are booing while someone is singing the national anthem. These days people always kneel whenever the national anthem is played, we just had to wait till they would start booing when someone sings it too. People are very intolerant of the national anthem these days, very unpatriotic. They think the national anthem represents systemic racism or some bullshit. We're going down the drain as a country.
I'm so sorry you felt that way..kudos to the guard for letting you know what was happening..kudos to you for continuing and finishing our national Anthem!!❤️
I don't know how he sang thinking he was being booed. He looked mortified and rightfully so. I felt so bad for him watching the clip. He is a TRUE professional and proved it right then. Have always loved his voice, so beautiful.
Poor Donny. He's pretty tough because from what I saw, he sang well (wish I could have heard him sing the whole thing, the clip was short) . . . but think of the poor artists who have REALLY been boo'd which I think is disgraceful. They once boo'd Whitney Houston at an award show for winning and then also boo'd Justin Bieber for winning too. I find that kind of behavior disgusting. Neither of them ever did anything to deserve that kind of treatment.
For an athlete not to pause for the anthem, especially in baseball, knowing he began in little league is a disgrace. Realize this is nearly 22 years ago, which for me makes it even MORE OF DISGRACE. I thought disrespecting our nation, our flag, and our anthem was something new in depravity of 2021.
Utahan here & if I ever go to a Jazz game & Donny came out to sing, I'd be thrilled!!!!! Sorry this happened, but it had a good ending to a nerve wrecking story. 😂😆😂
Who would dare boo my Donny! What a pro though! His concentration & performance held strong throughout. My heart went out to him as he was sharing his story. So glad he found out the real reason for the boos!🤨 Could've done without Marie's constant teasing. 😕
I'm watching this for the first time today. I just couldn't believe Donny would be booed. The booing made sense when I heard the reason for it. I remember watching Donny and Marie's Friday night show years ago. We watched it every Friday.
Yes, I just love Donny and Marie Osmond! I had never heard that story at all! That is really funny really!, But I can see were Donny would’ve felt like they were booing him! And I thought that’s what it was… I’m so glad they weren’t booing him though! Thank you for bringing this to us! Yes, I would love to have the Donny and Marie show come back!
Awww... it makes me want to cry for Donny just thinking about how much that had to hurt. I would've ran away crying! So glad he found out the boos weren't for him.
Aww.... poor Donny for thinking that they were booing him. Who couldn't like Donny, though? He is a good guy. Marie is a bit if a stinker but she is a lot of fun!
They really are the cutest brother and sister team ever, no matter how old they are....., now being in their 60's, it doesn't get old or boring, it's really a beautiful thing...love you guys💗💗

I never watched them till a few years ago. I was/am so impressed with their self-deprecating humor and how they pick on each other. They just come off as the nicest people and so down to earth. I wish I had known decades ago when I was growing up how fun they were.
That’s what I was thinking! That was the National Anthem for gosh sake. Give honor to the country and the singer. Don’t worry who is walking out on the field. There is a time and place when you can express yourself and that was not it!
Greetings, Love and Respect from New York. Being a very-very long time fan of the Osmond’s, especially Donny. I could not image who in the world, would EVER want to Boo an World Renounced /American Icon with such a Sweet Disposition and the Graciousness to all of their fans. Thank goodness Donny, finishing his story on a very happy note. Thank you & Bless you All, for the many years of Happiness that you bring into our Hearts & Lives. 🙏🏻🤗💜❤️
I was confused at first. Who would dare boo my 3rd Osmond boo, the comeback kid? I'm glad there was visual proof of who REALLY deserved that reaction, that ---- John Rocker. Thanks for posting this clip Dave. Have a bootiful Thursday and stay singing. You go Donny...📺💜💟🎤🇺🇲👎⚾️🧢🤬
I am glad they were not booing donny.i have been an osmond fan for 50years since I was 12 years old.the osmonds are fantastic and have a genuine love for their fans.they are a lovely family.i love them.xx
Donny Osmond sang beautifully despite thinking that the crowd was booing him! Why did John Rocker walk onto the field? He couldn't have waited until after the anthem? Why didn't the announcer stop Donny until the crowd stopped booing?
