i actually really like herta as a character ngl, plus the fact that we have never seen the real person behind those puppets makes her even more interesting
I love Herta. And she's actually kinder than she seems... She's just utterly honest Lol If she doesn't care, she'll tell you. However, I won't forget the time Asta and Dr. Ratio were talking about how she didn't care that her puppet was stolen yet Herta, at the end of it all, still sent a message thanking us. There's also one time in the simulated universe where we're affected by an Aeon and she tells us to remember there are people who care about us. I think a lot of her problems is that she's a workaholic who sometimes forgets other aren't and to add to injury she has no care for "courtesy" and fake friendliness. Social cues don't seem to be her thing. She's quite an interesting character, and more complex than people think. Edit: Also she's so funny

She doesn't know how to express it, but she's not heartless and she does care. Look at her with Herta for example. Herta clearly really likes Ruan Mei a lot as she lets her do whatever she wants on her station and doesn't monitor her and Ruan Mei in exchange really doesn't want to get on Herta's bad side or she wouldn't keep trying to hide her more... interesting experiments. She is almost incapable of showing affection or somehow can't understand the concept of love but she does care about her creations or she wouldn't have left them to us, about Herta or she wouldn't try to maintain a good relationship with her and about the space station to some extent, as she did ultimately bake a self-destruct into Skaracabaz and didn't just let it run amok. She is like Kafka in a way, just that instead of lacking fear, she lacks love. Ruan Mei has issues for sure, but people really seem to like completely misunderstanding her character. Like they take some sort of pleasure out of just drawing the wrong conclusions. Edit: Just to be clear, not trying to start something here, it's just that RM really gets all the hate from the fanbase. And while I get it, I also don't really get it. Bit weird imo.
Serval's outfit is not random bullshit, it's very thematic. Half of it is ruined labcoat with military insignia, and half is a punk rocker. It reflects her life path.

Just warning march shield has a effect that increases the chance of the person with her shield to be atracked, also the mc ult has its much stronger in an single target mode than the multi target but the mult target hits more enermies, if you open the characters info there is lime a map that you can see what every skill and passive of the character do
This only applies to preservation and destruction characters. Putting one of March’s shields on a Hunt character like Dan Heng won’t make it more likely for Dan Heng to be hit. Edit: Oops, that was for Lynx, not March 7th. As long as a character’s HP is at least 30% their max HP, they have a higher chance of being hit if they have March’s shield, no matter what their in game path type is.
I have yet to see a streamer level a character before that fight outside of what the game forces you to do. I'm always sittjng here going, use those books and LC upgrades and this is pretty easy...
I call him the Noob Murderer myself. It's the first real challenge and it really pushes how how important leveling and keeping your team competitive is, early on and without harping on it. Dude's just sitting there, arms crossed, protecting his chest. Game taught you how to level and gave you Light Cones. If you want that chest, you better start learning how useful they are! Good stuff.
Before meeting Herta I remember thinking I was going to hate her. It's funny how quickly that changed into thinking she's one of the best personalities in the game, and by far my most used character in combat.

Nous, the Aeon of Erudition, is, in simpler terms, the god of knowledge since Erudition pursues the knowledge of the Answers to everything in the Universe and its mysteries. Each Path has a different goal and the Answer to all things in the Universe is the goal of the Aeon of Erudition. Members of the genius society are chosen by Nous and THEY being doind this for multiple Amber Eras (I think). Herta, even though is the #83 Member, is fairly old since Nous doesn’t just willy-nilly choose people every other day. Anything can ascend to Aeonhood. Take for example, Nous, THEY were just an Astral Computer meant to provide answers to the universe which ascended and became an Aeon. Other Aeons could be originally humans or something else entirely. More about the Paths and Aeons will be revealed in the Main Story! 12:31 That Question will be answered (indirectly) in a future quest! You just have to make it there! 13:17 No comment. Some knowledge with MC: his normal attack is weaker than his skill (the aoe attack) but when he's in ult, his single target attack does much more damage than the aoe ult attack. Just letting you know this because I always used MC's aoe ult attack (even against one remaining unit) until I realized it's weaker than the single target ult attack.
Slight correction, the Honkai-verse is NOT a multiverse (in the common way). If you want a full explanation I recommend you watch Homu Labs' video, "Why is the Honkai Series so Confusing?! - Translation and Terminology Issues Explained." Here he explains how the universe works. Some lore from Star Rail has made this much clearer. Like the research on Imaginary Space.

You're not entirely far off. There's a reason why the fandom call the MC, Raccoon or Trash Panda (and why the MC is officially depicted as one by the devs themselves). When they're not playing the hero, they're an absolute menace as you've probably noticed when you went through Belobog (MC x Trashcan should be canon fr fr) lolz Also HSR leans more towards space fantasy rather than fully sci-fi so I'm sure you'll find yourself immersed in the game. I, myself, am a fantasy buff but HSR sold me, I ended being a light spender. The game is completely F2P of course, as long as you don't prioritize the meta endgame modes. HSR has a couple of characters from their predecessors. They're called Expy and they're basically different variants of the characters like Himeko and Bronya. Silver Wolf is actually another version of Bronya. Only Welt Yang is canonically from the previous Honkai game: Honkai Impact 3rd. And seeing how much you love Dan Heng... You'll love him even more as you go further in the game if you haven't done the Luofu. And if you really love the music in HSR, they actually had a concert a few months back. You can watch it on their channel but it's kinda spoiler-y in a way? Because that music are from the start of the game to up until 2.1 (selected OSTs, of course) as the second half of 2.1 was the 1st anniversary of the game. March is not a buffer she is a sustain they prevent your team from dying!! Buffers makes your dps stronger/faster they are not the same !! Ps: later in the game some teams want 2 buffers and or debuffers but for now it does not matter just enjoy the game!

You have double speed to make the battles to move faster. And in the middle there auto-play, where you basically let the game run the battle for you
if you don't like reading you won't be able to enjoy 100% of the game since a lot of it is within the lore. for example if you go read the lore about the Masked Fools in "Data bank" "Faction" you will see what i mean
I hope there will be a dedicated time/episode for all of the character trials ❤️ And maybe checking other characters models that's not on the banner rn in the Data Bank (found on the esc menu) 😄
Vociferous is actually one of my favorite words- it means to like to talk a lot, often while lacking any meaning. It is such a fun word to say. Also, this game has helped me study for the GRE more than any book has. Although vociferous I’ve known for a while because of how fun it sounds.
Aeons are gods so whenever you hear them get mentioned then yeah, they're the gods of their paths. Nous Of the Erudition, Nanook the Destruction and etc. you'll find out more of the name of the aeons in the archives of the train and in story lul

4:20 Wuthering Waves is not a Hoyoverse game. They stole a lot of ideas from Hoyoverse. Honkai: Star Rail used the same gatcha system as Genshin, which I’m fine with because they are made by the same company. I’m not sure what system other Hoyoverse games use. I am less fine with Wuthering Waves using not only the same gatcha system, but also the same upgrading system, finding treasures system, etc etc. Since Wuthering Waves is not a Hoyoverse game, I don’t give them the same pass. There’s a difference between using similar systems between games add by the same company and stealing the systems from another company. It’s a pet peeve of mine for you to keep saying “it’s just like Wuthering Waves.” You’re not wrong, but it’s more that Wuthering Waves stole from Hoyoverse than vice versa. I’ll just get use to it. 😂
Look we all know Herta can be... "Difficult" to deal with but, but, buuut... Yeah no I have nothing positive from Herta she's pretty terrible as a person and sadly she's not wrong, among the Genius Society she's by far one of the nicest ones (that are still alive because these guys seemingly drop like flies) out there, Except Screwllum, Screwllum is awesome. Also She's petty as HELL

1:04:47 Most of the characters are new to this game. A few look similar to characters from other games (and sometimes have the same name) but are not the same characters. Himeko is one of these characters. Another character is the same character as another Hoyoverse game character, but we’ll probably learn the details in game when we get an arc that covers their backstory. We get plenty of in game hints, and the most recent arc confirms some stuff. In other words, don’t worry about the other Hoyoverse games. You don’t need any prior knowledge to play the game.

Huh never noticed but Destruction TB's Eidolons are named after their journey on Herta's station from appearing there like a falling star, being the Stellaron's unwilling host, being guided by Kafka's Whisper, getting Nanook's glance and surviving the Doomsday Beast all the way to to embarking the Express with a Trailblazing will. Makes perfect sense but it's the first time I noticed it. ... Hope they triple the number of Eidolons for the Xianzhou overall to match the progress we'll be doing until we get Lan's glance since they extended the arc past the Luofu where we were apparently supposed to get the Hunt Path. That or we get an Eidolon for each ship...
In terms of pulling there is an "unfortunate" situation right now because with the resources you will get if not grinding like an insane animal, which I do not reccommend because game is not enjoyable that way you won't be able to pull the two promotional characters. In terms of teams VERY GENERALLY they usually have: -1 or 2 damage supports, from harmony or nihility path. -1 survivavility support, an abundance or preservation unit that keeps the whole team alive. -1 DPS -1 Sub dps if you only use 1 support Harmony buffers that work great in any team are Ruan Mei, which is in the promotional banner right now and Sparkle. Robin too but she is a little more specific. They are a safe pull, I would start with any of them, specially RM because the materials to level up her are obtainable before the other two ones, dps don't do damage without supports. That said DO NOT FEEL PRESSURED to pull, you can do the whole story with 1 or 2 from Dan Heng / Destruction Trailblazer / Serval / Qingque (my personal favourite, you will get her for free too) (These are characters that do damage) + Natasha (you will get her for free) (the abundance survivavility support) + Asta (speed and attack harmony buffer). If you want to use Marth 7th it is fine but you will need to use one less dps because she can't keep the whole team alive if enemies have aoe damage, which most of the important ones do. Firefly, the other promotional character is a break dps, a meta one, but unless you pull Ruan Mei first I can't recommend her, she is great but she has 1 only team, she 100000% NEEDS Ruan Mei + a character you will get for free through the story BUT this can take you months. You won't be able to ascend and level up Firefly until very advanced on the story so again, I would not recommend her in your personal case right now.

19:14 Close! I don’t speak Chinese so I doubt I say her name completely correctly, but in game, it sounds like it’s pronounced somewhere between Ching-chweh and Ching-chway. A lot of people just give up and call her QQ.
Dunno how far ahead you are of these recordings, but some tips on characters and teams. Most of the content doesn't care very much about team composition. A well-levelled damage dealer, a good 'sustain' (healer or shielder) and two half-decent other team-mates will go a long way, as long as they can weakness-break most of the enemies. There are a few major fights, similar to the doomsday beast, that need more care; weakness-matched, maybe a second sustain, everybody well geared and levelled, buffs from consumables. Worth doing a little grinding, regularly, if you think you'll stick with the game. Give yourself a bit more choice building a team for those. Some characters work better when paired with specific others/types, but I don't think you need to worry about that unless you really hit a wall somewhere, or get into it enough to bone up. Building a decent character isn't hard (a great character takes more work) but there's a lot to do. Character and light one levels go up to 80, up to 20 is dirt-cheap, then the cost rises quickly. You don't want to try to level everyone, unless you're whaling. Get your main team levelled first, keep some stock for when you get a character you like enough to swap in, or you need to gear one up for a specific fight. You can get all your chars up to level 20 and first ascension; it's cheap enough and you'll get a warp ticket for that. And don't forget your traces, they can add important extra effects to your skills. Unwanted lightcones and relics (later) can be consumed to level others, effectively refunding a good chunk of whatever you spent on them. So don't worry about spending on them, either. Hope that helps, really enjoying your vids!

Edit: The protagonist wasn't "created" on the station but he was put in stasis in that hacker girl's pocket. He had a past, that's why in one of the choices he remembers Kafka. Just one of the mysteries the players gotta find out as the adventure progresses.
