In this video I install set of Red Hound Door Sill Paint Guards in my 2020 Ram Rebel. This was a $33 experiment that actually panned out very well.
Every so often my dog and kids will accidentally scratch the sill of my truck getting in and out. This kit gave me a layer or protection between their shoes/paws and my paint.

Put these on and it came out nice. I like the quality. I actually think it’s better than any of the laminate products you could buy as this is where your putting your weight and this just feels tougher. Although I would say if you just bought a new truck you could put say a laminx on it but if you have scratches and paint missing your better off with this product. Additionally it is much tackier than what I thought as it actually took paint off when I was just correcting it as I was laying it down. A little tough to get it completely straight but for the most part it came out fairly even. Another great suggestion WF41 👍🏼. Oh and thanks for the video. The instructions or lack of sucks!

Smart move - I was down to metal in that area before I hit 15k. Of course I get in and out of my truck about 30 times a day opening and closing gates on the farm.
