A few anecdotes about the loyalists in this version. The world eaters became a paragorn of virtue, decipline and honour, after Horus convinces the Emperor that helping the Angron rather than just kidnap him is the better option. After wiping out the attacking army and subjecating the world, Angron is indebted to the Emperor. Angron told about the butcher's nails which leads to emergency surgery by the Emperor, Malcador and a team or surgeons. After the removal, Angron tutors under Horus and reunites with his world eaters, vowing that anger and ferocity without decipline just makes you a berserker. World eaters takes great pains to minimize casualties, even at the cost of their own casualties. The legion, tattoos a black dot at one side of their brow as a mark of solidarity with their primarch. Angron is killed at the dropsite massacre but the supposedly dead Kharn, was brought back to life after seeing a vision of Angron, telling him it was not his time. He leads the remnants of the world eaters to help defend terra. The world eaters in this timeline is essentially the salamanders, but prizing decipline and value of life over anything else. The Nightlords, for that matter, Conrad Curze became the Emperor's enforcers and only using violence to the peace and stability, like they were suppose to. Conrad saved the women was about the hurt and chose to save the kid instead of killing him. Together, they built their own private army and took over Nostramo. This time, championing the virtues of justice and empowering the people to do the right thing, knowing that the nighthaunter and his judges will have their backs. When reuniting with Emperor and his brothers, he shared with Magnus about his visions and Magnus enlightened him about the powers of the warp, telling Conrad his vision is a gift. By focusing how to control his visions, the nightlords were able to preempt rebellions and attacks, though their presence is seen as the arbiters of doom. Prizing their librarians, some of whom are gifted with precognition, they continued to enforce peace though violence. During the heresy, Conrad and his nightlords successfully infiltrated the palace that were being held by the Imperial Fists and attempted to extract the Emperor. But the Emperor convinces them to attack the Phalanx. Seeing of the premonition that the Emperor will be killed, Conrad allowed himself to be captured after rampaging through the phalanx. Rogal executes him. Post heresy, the nightlords continue to enforce peace through precognition and terror tactics but also defend world from Xeno invasions. They virtue those who have a high sense of justice and keeps a company of Astartes in Nostramo to enforce peace and recruitment. They were regarded as some of the best melee specialists, rivalling the world eaters. I can continue more and recommend reading the wiki for better explanation. Though wiki is incomplete have several holes in the other legions. This is by far, my favourite alternate heresy universe.

I thought it resulted over Dorn and the Emperor having a disagreement over whether tacos should be consumed on a Tuesday or a Friday.

I like the story of this one, specifically the part where Konrad instead of being an asshole, he got raised by a caring family that tought him the importance of one's life and the betterment of one's self. I never tought i would love Konrad as a character like ever.

Wasn't expecting to see Vulcan as a daemon prince but I got to admit he looks pretty *metal* Imagine him coming back in current 40K but it looks more like a salamander (aka like what he looks like here) because something went wrong with his ability

I like the Dornian Heresy, but as a Blood Angels player, I think it's really weird that they join Nurgle and not Khorne. Like, it just seems kinda obvious; red and gold color scheme, always angry and they love melee combat.

The author should meet his local inquisitor for even implying that my boys Salamanders could be traitors

I like that the raven guard stayed loyal during the heresy, but became traitor afterwards. That’s a neat twist. Also, the poor birds just can’t get a break from the drop sight massacre. Also, iron hands necrons sound awesome.

A little suggestion, maybe for the ultramarines part it should be changed with the artwork of their unique power armor that are combined with reversed engineered tau tech (source: the lore pdf). Cuz, the blue boys just trying to live independently from the imperium while not aligning with chaos.

Someone write a legitimate rebellion against the emperor. No Chaos Here’s the teams. Emperor, Fulgrim, Horus, Dorn, Russ, Lion, Ferrus, Magnus, Perturabo, Lorgar. VS Roboute, Alpharius, Khan, Mortarion, Corax, Angron, Sanguinius, Konrad, Vulkan. The teams are made up of the blindly loyal and those with moral reason to fight or a hatred of the Emperor. council of Nikea goes in Magnus favour. Angron gets his nails, Konrad still loses his mind and Roboute is trying to convince humanity that they are the good guys. Khan and Mortarion make an epic team. Russ and Vulkan go head to head in the battle of Ice and Fire. Dorn and Perturabo become best friends.

I absolutely _adore_ the Dornian Heresy. Besides just being interesting (I personally love reading about the loyalist tales of the 'Traitor' Legions, from the Alpha Legion to the World Eaters), we get kickass new fanart of loyalist traitors and traitor loyalists. I am a staunch supporter of the DH loyalists, love 'em to bits. Thousand Sons and World Eaters supremacy, bay-bee.

The real question is where was Alpharius?

I love that Konrad basically takes the place of Sanguinius. Very cool narrative.

While it does suck to see them fall to chaos, it does make sense for the white scars to turn to Slaanesh

Hot take, Nurgle Blood Angels make sense. Think about it, BA's entire gimmick is struggling against entropy, be it the Red Thirst or the Black Rage in 40k. Who rules over the concept of entropy and can save you from it with its gifts? Its not that diferent from how the Death Guard fell to Nurgle

The scariest part about the Dornian Heresy was how after you have Sigismund take the place of Abaddon as Warmaster of Chaos. Also love how Erebus ends up burning forever on the end of a good Lorgar’s staff.

This is a nice fan theory as it's not just a swap of Primarchs. Lion is still loyal Guilliman is trying to get independence and the Iron Hands are subservient to a C'tan. This makes so much sense that just all loyalists now worship Chaos and all traitors are now loyal. My only gripe is that the new loyalists lost like half their primarchs while the new traitors only lost Dorn, more new traitors needed to die so the future of the AU isn't a Curbstomp against the Imperium.

A thing I like is about this AU. They aren't all falling to chaos. Utramarines, for example, have their own faction. Iron Hands going renegade and doing Necron stuff.
