ATTENTION MOMS!!! Did you know they have $5 costumes (“Way To Celebrate” brand) at Walmart right now? One of my sons got a skeleton one (pretty decent jumpsuit with a black hood for his head) and my other is a pirate (another decent jumpsuit with a hat). $10 for their costumes and maybe a few bucks more for accessories and/or face paint. There’s no fucking way I’m dropping more than $20 for a full costume, let alone $800!

I totally agree w/Josh, if you have adopted children diagnosed w/FASD, u shouldn't have alcohol in your home. Especially when the kids are stealing it. The solution isn't moving the alcohol from the pantry to your bedroom! You need to throw it out & stop buying it Alicia!

Yes, the only costumes for women are slutty. It’s pretty annoying. My daughter is 10 but too big for kids costumes. Luckily, women costumes fit her perfectly without looking slutty. They’re big enough to look good and cover her completely.

can i say something as someone that was a plus sized teen and had a larger chest? it is super hard to find not sexualized costumes in any larger size. companies assume they are for women, not young girls who are the size of women. i had many costumes that were this level of revealing and it was impossible to find anything more covered up in a store like they went to. you would have to order online for my size anyways and they were all essentially lingerie

One year my hubby and I did a haunted porch and there was a kid about 4 that took one look and started crying and backing up. My hubby who was the Grim Reaper proceeds to get up with the candy and say "Ohhhh.....it's ok" and moving towards the kid. LOL....hubby completely forgot about the costume and totally freaked the kid out. I still giggle on that one.

I was adopted at the age of six yrs old. We were takin away from our birth mom at the age of 2-3 due to drug use, Molest station in physical abuse. And I’m here to tell you that you’re right A lot of the times we do circle right back in to where we started. Me my twin sister and my older sister all of what you were adopted at that time all dead. Thank God we all came back out on top and quit. But yes it was a rough road

The 4-year-old is a better mother than Alisha! She was telling her brother the costume was for Halloween, and it's not Halloween yet, but Alisha jumped in to say "You can try it on, it's okay!" That costume will not survive until Halloween, guaranteed!

I see nothing wrong with the monster high costume . But the last two costumes were definitely inappropriate for a teenage girl , she should be ashamed.

I used to buy a bunch of the princess costumes and accessories when they went on sale after Halloween and decorate a storage containers and load them up for my little granddaughters to play dress up for Christmas gifts 😃they loved it 🥰 I miss those days 😢

I am a 22 y/o college student and I LOVE piecing together my own costume. I go to this vintage costume thrift store and get genuine clothes to make my costume. It’s a lot of fun and cheap! I look more forward to making my costume than anything! I like to be characters I like, not for the purpose of being a sexualized version of a career or anything. My freshmen year was Walter White and this year it is Coraline! Utilizing the same yellow coat!

I love Halloween. I wish I had unlimited budget to go crazy with the decorations.

I made my kids costumes, but I only had 2. I repurposed old clothes and used charity shops [thrift stores] for most items. Then I had a minimal budget, still do in fact. I decorate my enclosed porch for local kids to trick or treat. Amazing what you can do with blak plastic bags and xmas lights.

My daughter is now 18 years old. Her father is 7 foot tall so she has ALWAYS been on the larger side. When she was a child she didn't fit into the child sized costumes so I had to get her adult sizes. That was problems because she would want the sexy costumes and I would tell her they were NOT age appropriate and she she would get the longer all covering costumes like a surgeon or Maleficent where the robe went to the floor. Or if my daughter insisted on the skimpy item I insisted ion clothes for underneath to cover what would be exposed. Especially with us living in Ohio, Halloween sometimes had snow so you either couldn't see the costume under a winter coat or you had to put layers on anyway for warmth.

Neveah is 14 and is all over TikTok barely dressed and dancing. Elisha needs to get this girl off the internet and keep her busy in sports and such. She will be trafficked if she keeps doing what she is doing.

But seriously she has no common sense or real interest in her kids, it’s like throwing a bone or a brain toy to a dog and hoping that will keep them busy for a while. It will never get old the feeling I get watching any blogger film ...do you know how many times your child looks at you for a reaction in everyday life? Looking to see if you are excited with them or seeing if you are watching them kick a ball or do a little dance . Looking at your face and wondering if you are interested in what they are doing in the moment , all these poor kids see it's a mother with her God damn face in a camera. These moments won't last forever and they are missing EVERYTHING! just pure sadness it is.

I don't think I ever had a store bought costume like this, maybe once. My mom would buy mccall's patterns or I made one myself or got it (when I was older) from the high-end costume/bridal shop.

I always wanted one of those vinyl costumes with the thin plastic masks when I was growing up. I never got a store bought costume as a child. We had to go into the attic and find something to wear. My mom had all of her fancy dresses from high school and college dances that I used a couple of times and my brother and I dressed as bums a lot with my dads old overcoats and "tacky" blazers. One year a friend and I sewed our own costumes completely from scratch, we were clowns. My daughter never wore an inappropriate costume, and she wouldn't wear one as an adult now. It's disgusting for Alicia to have her daughters wear costumes like this.

my family just have a halloween box that has a few devil horns, cat ears, masks etc that have probably been there 10+ years but that’s been more than good enough since halloween is literally one day a year. but i don’t know if that’s just because i live on the uk, i’ve noticed in the us they seem to start celebrating halloween in september

I have 6 siblings. We had 3 costumes to share. A dinosaur, a clown, and a pumpkin. Any other costume had to come from our wardrobe, and no clothing could be destroyed. We got creative, and had fun. My girls usually opt for a hooded sleeper character outfit they wear all winter for pajamas.

Had a coworker and her son liked to scare same way Tysen does! One time a lady got so scared she ran away and left her baby in the stroller! She felt so bad and was crying coming back that she just left her baby!! Those costumes are all crap there so flimsy! I like to thrift my daughter’s costume and then buy accessories to go along with it! Then she can wear pieces of it again! Yup super gross costume Alisha and inappropriate costumes for the older girls!

Totally agree that alcohol changes you. Im living through it first hand (not me) and I’m not liking the changes. They change, your life changes and rarely for the better. And the slutty costumes only make parents be the bad guy to their kids along with the parents who allow the slutty costumes to be worn by their kids. Peer pressure is horrendous and if the friends are allowed to wear it, it’s available in child sizes, your kid hates you because they can’t have it and this is intentional in the breakdown of the traditional family. Cell phones for 8+ year olds is also part of the plan. Nobody under the age of 18 should have unsupervised access to the internet. No wonder little kids know about sex and it happens on the elementary school buses. 😢

I’m 27 from the uk (legal drinking age is 18) and I can count on one hand how many times I have been drunk. Hated every single time and I felt so out of control with what could happen to me. Every time something bad would happen. Neither me or my husband drink

Josh I work at our local Spirit Halloween and the lab you can buy the day after Halloween but you have to be there first thing in the morning because all the display stuff goes fast.

My daughter is 21 and if she wore that her stepdad would kidnap her and bring her home. I taught her to wear shorts under her dresses as a kid because she was always holding her legs open or flipping or something and she did that even as a teen. Dressing nasty only looks trashy not cute.

I was a alchocholic a couple years ago. Im mean as a snake when I get drunk. Ive been told its the cherokee in me. Anyway I drank so much liquoer that I now have out of control diabetes, chronic pancreaentis , high cholesterol etc. Im only 35 and I was always so healthy and now my whole body has gone down hill in just a couple of years

Growing up even in the 80s my parents would have NEVER let any of us girls wear anything like that! We weren't allowed to wear make up, stockings, have our ears pierced, etc until we were 16. And even then they were strict!
