Hello, Notan Expert; Great job! Looks fantastic! I have a set of 4 wood carving knives ($26US on amazon, sold by "ewade"). I use them to hog off thick corner sections to minimize rasping, just a suggestion. The place it broke is end grain so you can fit & glue a piece of scrap to fill in. Just an idea. This is really interesting because I want to make (or repair) a saw, too. When you get thru with it please summarize your pros & cons & what you would do different if you had a do-over. Have a GREAT day, Neighbor!
