Please don't ask me about name 이름을 묻지마세요 Please don't ask my name 그 무슨 큰일했다고 Given all that has happened Are you going to ask my name? In the prime of their life, the days of sweat and tears piled high, Their names left behind with the past and great things were accomplished. So please don't ask my name. to be continued.....
This is actually patriotic song giving tribute to soldiers and workers who are building railways deep in to the North frozen Mountains, during cold winter. In this song, she is telling this guy that he shouldn't care about her name, but should care about the names of soldiers and workers who are building railways in the mountains during winter.
I don't think so. She used those soldiers and workers for three times as excuses because she was too shy to say her name. Those were very solid execuses.
You are right, in capitalism it's all about physical survival: making enough money to pay the staggering bills. At least in communism everyone owed their house and noone was a slave to a bank . But everything has a price, there is no perfect regime.
Actually the original idea of communism is pretty good, but it is impossible to be turned into a reality, so the politicians decide to make their own rules, which changes the original idea of the communism.
News correspondent is going to write an article about her work achievments, but she refuses to give him the name. Correspondent is following her, but the girl says: "Is it a big deal? Just think about our youth and labour, think about our southern brothers. Without asking my name, I want you to understand my feeling, burning in the chest - we should keep the name of the Party in our mind - Party that raised and embraced us, whom we offer our loyality". These are lyrics of the song.
Eh, they also do listen and dance with "People love our dear leader Kim Jong Un" or "Soldiers' footsteps" or "Let's love our beautiful Motherland"... They consider it normal! That's not true that all songs they sing and dance with are about Party and leaders, Korea and so on... Of course they do have normal, neutral songs. Love songs, folk songs, ordinary songs... And they do listen and dance with these songs too, not only agitprops! But I must admit that they have much more propaganda than usual songs. Once again - they consider it normal! Other people just can't fully understand their minds!
According to some north korean defectors it is socially acceptable to stalk. I heard one guy who not stop bothering this girl and he would always be waiting for her.
real life?do you know what does it mean?where could you see the "real life"?maybe in ROK?despite all difficulties people of the DPRK are happy!they love their leaders and they will do everything for their country!
To Deutschland596: Your explanation sounds quite valid. Socialist ideas are not very bad (it is created to help the large proportion of the working people escape poverty!), just that it is those stupid people who don't know how to put the policies in good use. Indeed, Juche is a complete oxymoron. It means "self-reliance" but NK essentially depended on PRC and Russia for food aid & money during the 90s famine. NB: It would be better if their system is a hybrid of capitalism and socialism.
@oliverlaw02 , that still doesn't justify concentration camps for people who just want to hear another point of view and listen to South Korean radio. Every dictatorship has political prisons.
@ComradeLer , many EE people remember with fondness socialism. The good things were free education and medical care(they have that in any western euro county as well), seemingly crime-free society(no drugs, no prostitution, no porn or sexual predators), People who were party members had no worries, but as my parents were not, we were not allowed to have a phone for example. Since my father escaped the country once, we were under surveilance and had to be careful what we say even at home.
Since the 22nd century, South Korea has been seriously considering the assumption of supplying resources from space for economic growth, and North Korea's idea of a self-sufficient national state can be seen as a delusion at the level of creating nuclear weapons in medieval society.
But how would I pay you for working if I don't have your name? No name. Don't ask for it. Ok. You work for free just like everybody else. Work harder and you might get a penny under the table for the services to our dear leader.
@LIONSMANIAC Its so backwards there, companies probably still make quality products! Lol. Personally, I'm very surprised that they have computers and cell phones.
In Yugoslavia you didn't really have the comminism we had in Bulgaria or Russia. It definately wasn't nearly as harsh as NK, but people were locked up for speaking their mind. Right now in Bulgaria we can say absolutely anything on TV, people curse the different party leaders and noone says anything. You can't do that in US: you always have to watch , God forbid you are impolite.
@gamayoon Well, the anti-NK propaganda usually focuses on a single topic, which is the oppression and human rights issues. I guess, the people in NK percieve the whole thing a bit differently.
@AtheismCentral , look up Yodok concentration camp and survivor stories...Plenty of information out there, unless you live in NK where you cant even own a computer or a cell phone...
