I agree Mark, the best of both worlds it is NOT. Even the one doing it hurts himself.. they are a chameleon who stops knowing who they really are.. getting away with that crap ruins the person doing it over time... They become a lesser person even if their mate never finds out.. they live a lie, period. Only someone with no conscience could truly be happy doing that.
Hello Mark, I'm asking you this because your a man, and I'm interested in your perspective. I thought alot of guys cheat because they want variety cause they get bored with one women? My husband would not lay off the porn, I noticed there is constantly continuous variety available on porn today. I feel he cheated on me by constantly engaging in cyber sex with young women. What ate your thoughts on this. We are divorced now because of it.

My grandfather was kicked in the head by a mule as a little boy. He actually let me feel the gash in his head when I was a little girl. It scared me to death. It was a traumatic brain injury, he was in & out of sleep/consciousness and was not expected to live. He was also an incredibly loyal husband to my grandmother for over 60 years of marriage. Why wasn’t he a cheater??? He loved my grandmother with all his heart until his last breath. I’m not buying it. My guess is it has more to do with our narcissistic culture & society. Modern men’s sense of entitlement. People just aren’t as honest, moral & decent anymore. They lack integrity in today’s environment.
I think there are circumstances that make people vulnerable to having affairs, but they are never good reasons/excuses to have one. Truth is, when people have an affair they are not exercising any reasoning skill, but rather are responding to their egos being stroked. With the confidence they gain from self-esteem build-up, they think they are invincible to being caught. The pleasure then becomes addicting and something that feels so good, certainly couldn't be wrong. Maximum deception.

A guy had a girlfriend for years in high school and he cheated on her all the time and she knew about it. She trained him and destroyed him for woman ever since. He is 35 now and has not changed.

That’s not true that everyone cheats. Keep telling yourself that. I’ve never cheated and I’m 51. My brother is 62 and has never cheated. I have countless friends who have never cheated, although many have. Some struggle not to, and some would never consider it. There are all types. You’re just trying to make yourself feel better by saying everyone does it. Listen to Tony Gaskins talk about it. I do agree though, that it goes against nature to be monogamous.
