i got both of these cars. if you drive these two at 100km/h, you can feel the difference. i need to get a grip on myvi's steering which potentiialy drag me into accident while iriz you can lay back and sapkok while hold the steering with one hand XD

Thats right same goes to bezza’s user they ended up car flips upside down. Malaysia’s 🇲🇾 created a car expecting their people to drive safe, but “them” malaysian car owners thought perodua viva could be a “bmw m5” they think the pickups are good to go for a racing its “daihatsu avy RS” haha wow “RS” sure could be on a same stage with honda type r or vw polo mk2 , they do notice the car body is a “lightweight” but they just dont care rather die in a car crash with their favorite car and wants other to watch it, witnessing.

its a regret to buy Myvi 2020..i owned myvi a few month ago..ya Myvi look stylish, look cool than Iriz , that the reason i pick Myvi..i should do the test drive first bfore buying, my mistake..few weeks ago i had to drive my fren car, then boommm, in my head felt like what the hell..the level of comfort and handling just like heaven n earth..then i direct go n search in youtube abt iriz. and yah, myb next car ill choose proton against produa,,just my 2cent...as an advice, do the test drive first before buying or hearing other people..

the braking test should do 1-2 times more with changed lane because the place where the iriz brake got some sort of road repair bump. also the reaction to the brake when reach cone also play important role.

Despite that, the 3rd gen Myvi is pretty stable and well composed even at higher speeds. Of course it's no match for Proton's ride and handling, but it's a big step up over the old Myvis.

You can turn the Eco Mode off (NOT the Eco idle button on the side). You'll have to access it via the digital display. Works for me and car feels really responsive

I always felt that myvi 1.5 somewhat feels slow and underpowered even compared to the 1.3 which feels more nimble.

I'd pick the Proton for safety features. Proton is known for its air con, ride and handling and rigid build but is not so fuel efficient due to its weight. Small price to pay for staying alive.

Although Perodua cars overall reliability better than Proton (if not why resale value so good), but you won't pick car solely because reliability (sacrificing comfort and handling)... I had a Perodua Viva, and after 2 or 3 years brake system got problem and cannot be fixed by service centre no matter what... Not all Perodua cars are reliable as well... xD... Anyway, pick a car you like, so that you won't regret. :)

The gearbox is the main factor. Iriz is using CVT which is always changing gears based on the speed like a scooter. While myvi is using a traditional 4-speed automatic which could cause delays in gear changing.

R3 satria neo previously cant properly fight golf GTI which is the minimum benchmark for hot hatches, how much do you think proton will sell it ? they need to put mech LSD or electronic LSD, more power, more reliability, better gearbox and good ECU, you think good chassis is enough for wrc? do you know rollcage and etc purposes other than for safety? Hot hatch is whole different story man

As an Iriz FL Premium driver, I admid it. But Myvi is quite better in climbing/hiking situation. Their lightweight body make is faster in uphill situation like at Genting Sempah/Genting Highland area. Just tried it last year.

There are many factor need to considerate due to most perodua engine are Eco/Eev and fuel efficiency. So less fuel consumption then less power lor. You can detect the power loss during initial acceleration compare with Proton. But as we know, Iriz was known as "Myvi killer" since it release date for 1st gen Iriz.

Looking at the quite tall Eugin sitting in the tiny Myvi seat has easily made me switch car choices because damn his posture looks so uncomfortable! 😅 Anyway I still much prefer the Iriz on longer journeys. It feels safer at speed, and it's cheaper!

The biggest difference between the cars is the CVT transmission that the iriz and most proton cars have implemented. Maybe perodua's outlook on eco also plays a factor la. But still a great video, iriz ftw because its faster despite being heavier. Maybe also much safer

In an analysis, I think right Iriz is a lot more stable. Cos at 160km/h on the NS Highway, the myvi not stable. Maybe an extra 100 kilo stabilise.

Before people start flamewars on which car is better in the comments section, I just want to say both cars are very good, and I've driven both of them, so I'm speaking facts. The Iriz of course is super fun to drive thanks to its handling capabilities, no doubt about that. It's a very comfortable ride too. The Myvi on the other hand, if you really driven the new one, it's not an unstable deathtrap unlike the older Myvis. It's no Lotus handling and it's not as comfortable as the Iriz, but it still gives a sense of confidence during some spirited driving. Frankly I also like the drivetrain on the Myvi better compared to the Proton. Personally I'll choose the Iriz, but again, both are great cars.
