The Myvi has been a subject of great controversy: some swear by it, some downright condemn it - we take it up to Genting in good faith to see how it performs! See and judge for yourself.
I used to drive Iriz too. It feel safe to drive fast but there's always something limiting it. As for Myvi (G1 & G2), it was like driving a beast (a slow one) but with skills we can tame the king of the road. Myvi are a fun car for low budget people like me ~ Usually, 60-80km/h is my limit both in straight line & corner (even the sharp one) 🤭
Btw, If he was in a Scirocco too, that white Scirocco are still climbing while he's already descent. I can see he's using racing line like a pro-racing-driver.
I bet that Scirocco driver was wondering why is that Myvi so consistently fast around the bends... Never knew who was behind the wheels... A Veteran who still goes FAST.... Proud of you Uncle💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾.... Wish the bends continued longer though so the Scirocco slowly looses sight of the Myvi's rear end😁
Imagine you are driving Ferrari at speedlane, then you see this red Myvi give highbeam at you, you have no idea the driver was a 5 times rally champion
Car nowadays are equipped with lots of safety features. For racing driver, good tyre & brakes, nicely tune suspension, and buttery-feel transmission is all they need ~
Thank you Uncle Khong. This video isn't just about the ability of the car. It is more about matured driving skills and driving etiquette. Always being patient and not getting hot headed due to the adrenaline rush. Worth a good thought after watching this video.
When a Scirocco got tapau by Myvi... The VW guy then went to Perodua Showroom, trade in and got a Red My"Ferrari"vi Nice drive, YS... We need more of this kind of therapy
i am very sure that the 1st three-person who dislike/thumbs down this video is - 1st. Scirocco driver... 2nd. Scirocco VW Malaysia 3rd. Scirocco VW Germany... 4th. and the rest, VW owners... hahaha...
I came back for the 9999999th time today to this video. Excellent uncle. Such joy to see you having fun during the drive. Thank you uncle for the demo. 😍😍😍
Cold sweat! Lack of skill will not be able to make it! It's a stock 1.5 na hatch back! Such a great review and testing of limit, not forgetting YS taught us how to override the auto like a manual car
Good day YS, you proved a point, in the hands of masterclass driver one does not need to spend big money on performance cars to extract so much fun from a budget car. Spending on improving driving skills esp high speed driving should be my priority.....great video YS truly entertaining 👍
Another thing i'd like to add here (i'm long winded, 54 yrs old hahaha)- Sifu YS Khong was driving fast here, able to keep the small 1.5litre engine in power band but he could anytime drive even harder & faster in the same car. Whatever still, he drives fast, safe & considerate, never forcing slower cars to give way. These are traits of a good & fast driver. Salute and learn from Sifu!!!!
@@YSKhongDriving Thank you too for so many videos. I'm actually sharing your videos to my wife & 2 daughters for them to learn proper driving skills & attitude. Thanks again for your effort Sifu!!
Hi, Uncle YS. Totally agree with you, the car is really predictable. Putting it in 2nd gear, rev band from 3k-5k rpm is its sweet spot. The body roll is decent for the price. If in D⁴, the car loves to upshift occasionally, as you mentioned "gear-hunting". Great drive & video, Uncle YS.
walayeh uncle ur driving skill so good . even scirroco cant keep up with you on corner. juz only on straight line he can keep up. .amazing.!!!btw drive safe .and keep making quality video.! im salute you lah !
whoa uncle, this is so intense & satisfying to watch....your driving skill is crazy. it did look dangerous but leave it to the pro. Myvi is truly king of the road in Malaysia lol
Met him in real life before, he is such a knowledgable man. Had a fun conversation with him about car and sales. He did mention how he is really good at driving as well. Hahaha.
Well done OTAI, proven that the ultimate winner is the driving skills, not the car. Saga’s Genting test drive earlier seems more composed, more docile & better NVH compared to Myvi.
whenever its about Proton… P1’s fanboy will said… good handling ma… bla bla bla… didnt even mention that its about the driver’s skill but when comes to Perodua… all the sudden they talk about driver’s skill…
Very nice content uncle, really enjoy POV driving skill and talent, so excited engine revving, rpm maxxing, tyre scretching, gearing choices and rise my andrenaline too, fuhhh! so thrilling and this boiling my blood too! Keep up racing uphill and dowhill i will watch and learn from u, big thanks uncle. Happy merdeka 62th Malaysia!
Sharing tis vid among my frens n watching it over n over again. Watching uncle khong tackling the apex is sooo satisfying. Not a myvi fan but tis vid makes me wana own a 3rd gen myvi now.
Thanks for making this video Uncle Khong 😍 I was thinking to buy Myvi 1.3 G with Manual, and here I got from your comments is this Myvi is a really nice car😍 Now I saving money to get it. Thanks Uncle Khong
Im pretty sure many Malaysian has owned/driven a Myvi at some point in their life. Says alot about the popularity of the car. Practical, simple no frills and fun city car. You can even see it on uncle YS Khong face in this video! Haha...
Hi sir, I really like your practical review on cars especially on this Myvi Advance which I may consider buying one. I really follows all your hands on reviews. Please keep the wheels going.
Good drive. Uncle is terrorizing Genting hill again. Poor VW cant keep up with uncle's cornering speed. A bit of understeer is always better than oversteer. Perodua generally has good suspension out of the factory, people just have to learn the limit of their cars and driving skills.
Nice content, + 1 subscriber.. it's quite weird as suddenly your video is popping out on my recommended list, after watching your video for a while, i'm glad that it's recommended to me.. Good driving.. well done!!
Old man could tell the brakes is hot even though there are no temperature gauges to tell him so. Mad skill. And using a Myvi to dominate a Scirocco on the uphill climb - a pleasure to watch.
wow. now i know the actual limiting factor is the driver itself. myvi in the hand of of pro turns to a beast. uncle should organize a 'how to drive a myvi' session after this. sure fully booked!
Fast driver excellent skills tons of experience lead to a good run and the car will be so good. 👍 Any car must have skills to drive. Look at Uncle YS Khong, he literally can drive any car. Good job uncle.
Handling doesn't matter. If you know how to use racing line like this uncle did you'll be fine, even with old tyres. Make use of the road space wisely. Not everyone could afford to buy expensive cars but skill is something that can learn by everyone.
3rd time rewatch this... Still impressed!!! Cornering at respectable speeds on stock! As a myvi g3 owner but with better suspension setup than stock... waiting to upgrade tires. I'm confident with this car capabilities but given that you need to understand the car limitations too. 😎👍
What suspension youre changing to? because my myvi G3 stock suspension is quite harsh and im researching on the more comfortable suspension on sale in the market
@@Yddp3307 Besides adjustable, KYB RS Ultra Absorber with Eibach Springs seems like the most popular combo. the height is almost the same as stock but stiffer and less bouncy compared to stock.
Superb driving there. I was from the late Garry Chua camp. I got my Myvi H early 2018. Except for NVH, everything near perfect for that price. Did the same hill run last year.
Uncle, ur driving skill is very awsome, myvi is very fun to drive, 1.5L with compact n light body, up hill is no problem, just need to familiar with the road. Thumbs up uncle.
