I feel like the most use that he will get is LRE, especially 2 hit restriction, but there are so few good Chaos characters that could use 1/2 hits together with him to get his passive online that I feel like he mostly will be just a solo tank that butchers one unit per turn with big overkill
Taking fire damage trigger's Azkor's passive, so maybe there will be something there in the future with the Forgefiend or Vindicta or Ahriman if they can get good melee Chaos damage characters.
A much, much more realistic way to stack 8 times would probably being attacked by multiple adds. Sibyll, maybe thadd, avatar of khaine... not sure about corrodius because no chaos works in that fight and the poxwalkers hit HARD
the more I see Azkor the more he is just chaos calgar, very tanky, an AOE that can deal lots of dmg, gives a fat buff to everyone around (but only melee chaos) and I really like calgar, so I really like azkor whats the problem? that Abaddon exists, and Azkor is straight up beter Abaddon nerf Abaddon just to be sure that there is no point of comparison
"But its more dmg than calgar".... Yeah but the unconditional buffers work from round 1. How many rounds till Azkhor is at 8? Because if its more than 2....is it worth it?
