This particular tool only worked on "full blast" and not at all at lower speeds.
Sorry this isn't a computer video, and that it has been a while. Just a little blurb in case it helps someone. Pardon my shaky camera, poor editing, and saying "umm" so much, as is tradition with my videos.

5 TRIACs in a kit? Great! One for every Dremel I’ve ever owned that’s had this EXACT problem. Every. Single. One. Over the last 20 years. Fuck Dremel.

My Dremel 300 only worked at full speed today too. I took it apart and wiped the slider contacts clean with a piece of paper tissue. Fixed! Still, thanks for the TRIAC info.

Jesus, 20 bucks!, I just ran a tiny bead of solder along the worn track, and sanded it down to flat and thin, and it worked. Though it'll wear out again sooner than B4 since it's solder that's being worn down...

I tried the same thing with no luck. Mine only works on low speed and you really gotta find the exact spot for that

How do you actually take the switch assembly apart to remove the PC board?

My problem is it. Only works on low speed but I saw that it looked like that track thing was not in very good shape. I was trying to find a new board but so far haven't had any luck. If you know where to get it I'd really appreciate you passing that info on to me. Thank you, Doc

My dremel 3000 after putting it back it worked so i went back to putting it back together and when done it no longer worked. Its been sitting there 1 month dissasembled. Any ideas?

Alec J I have a dremel from the 70s, and that thing has never needed any repair.... They don't make em like they use to.

They sure don't! I have many memories of using my father's ancient Dremel and , though limited in functionality, it has always worked.. and still does!
