To prepare my sea moss gel, I wash and fully clean it in spring or reverse osmosis water. Then soak it overnight. Next day I wash it again, then give it a rough Chop so they're not long enough to wrap around and bind the blender motor. Add spring or RO water and blend. I never add any heat to it. Hope this helps for those who don't want to use heat but know no other way. There're other ways, I'm sure, but this is the one I know and it works for me. Be truth, Keep growing, Much love.

I usually wash my sea moss with boiling hot water throughly 3 - 4 times . Once that is done I place it in a bowl with filtered water 💦 or bottled water , I then put in some halved limes or lemons,cover it and place it in the fridge for 24 hours. I then blend it in my blender which is a SAGE super blender which is quite powerful for 3 minutes

There is no need to soak overnight. You wash about twice with lots of lime to remove the smell of the fresh. Boil your spices seseperst. Leave seamoss to soak for about 1hr. When spices have boiled turn off heat and drop washed seamoss into pan. Let it soak the spice up. Later fish out the seamoss and blend with spice water, sweeten, and strain. Add a pinch of alcohol to preserve seamoss gel. Serve with milk and ice hot or cold

Try soaking it for 48 hours. Add lemons after the first 24 hours and soak with sea moss the next 24 hours.

@Jamaican Vibes if you have a Vita-Mix blender you don’t need hot water, just wash real good like you did & soak over night, blend next morning.

Boiling it is no good it takes away from the strength of saemoss and washing it in tap water is no good either.

In the Caribbean we boil sea moss well until it melts. Then blend you get more gelatin that way and it is more heathy.
