Hey Connor! Sitting outside in winter time and drinking beer, eating a "healthy " Döner and buying whool- Birkenstocks! Hopp Hopp Hopp, rinn in Kopp! You're absolutely integrated ! 👍😂😂
Some notes for the interested (because I have too much time): "Späti" = literally: laty (from "late") "Späti'" is a "Spätverkaufsstelle" (english: late seller; where you can buy basic stuff when it's late) "Orient Eck" = Orient Corner "Berliner Luft" = Berlin air ("Berliner Luft" is a German song from 1904 where the Berliner Luft is a synonym for the free lifestyle in Berlin back in the days, and now apparently) de nada
every country has its own method to enforce for "minors" (under 18 or 21) the rule "don't drink and shoot/drive". in germany we are only allowed to drink, and in the usa they are only allowed to shoot and drive ...
But I think it makes sense. Alcohol is not good for you especially when your body is still developing and you need every of your brain cells for learning. Guns normally don't harm you when you go shooting on a range or go hunting. And especially when you're trained well in operating with guns from a young age it's pretty safe in my opinion. And driving a car with 16 or 17 is no problem because most people in this age are pretty responsible. Here in Germany you can drive motorcycles that drive up to 50km/h or even faster I guess when you're 16 years old, so why not a car? It's much safer.
10:59 He said: What you should know is, he is a good man, he doesn't want that you make something wrong. So be careful when you drink. You know you limit and then we all have fun.
Thanks Conner for blessing us germans with your curiosity and your openness to other cultures. U just feelin the vibe and lettin all of us feel the vibe too bc of your work. Much love from a Badner :)
Hahaha guess you have to keep hanging out with germans in the cities and prepare yourself and your liver to visit a Dorfparty. No responsible drinking there
Yo Conner! So the Ampelmännchen is from the east (DDR) and after the reunion it was replaced by the west-german counterpart. But then people pretested because they wanted to keep the old Ampelmännchen so it celebrated a comeback - and not only in (what used to be) the east of Berlin and Germany. Nowadays you can see it in many west-german cities as well. I'm glad you had a good time in Berlin amigo! Greetings
The "Ampelmännchen" was original used in East Germany or the GDR. After the Reunion of Germany some City´s in the West and i think West Berlin too used it on his own.
Now i do not want to meet only you Connor but also Benny haha 😁😛 You're becoming a real Berliner 👏 So cool to see that there are people here in Germany that just invite you to come with their group of friends and help you settle 😊
@@mikkederdikke sorry but that's nonsense.. you could maybe say that for east german cities like dresden, leipzig and a few others but späti for sure is not a term common in west germany.. like suschi said most cities simply call them kiosk and they are also not really a place where young people hang out.. west berlin also only started using the term after the reunification of germany... so yeah späti is a term of the former DDR and for sure not common in most german cities.. at then end of the day there is nothing special about "spätis" themselves, because it is just a kiosk, but the term for sure is former DDR and berlin and just like not everyone - or better almost no one in the rest of germany - calls a roasted chicken "broiler" almost no one in the rest of germany calls them "spätis"
Ach, die wohnen halt in Berlin, andere in Hamburg. Die zeigen halt was da geht, wer anderes zeigt was woanders geht, unterscheidet sich vllt nicht so doll, aber das diskreditiert ja keinen der beiden
I just watched two Videos from u, but ur like sympathic and nice, and its rly fun, to watch ur videos and see u doing all the experiences i did with my brother too. Go ahead, I like ur videos
Conner: "You should drink responsible I have passed drinkingage for about 10 years" Capital Bra: "GiB mIR TiLidIN iCh kÖnNTe wAs gEbRauChen, WOdKa E Um DiE SoRGen zu ErsAuFen"
yo connor, always fun watching your videos - have you ever been to frankfurt or especially the rheingau? - its not famous for beer, just for vine and the nice environment maybe its a nice target for your trip.
I looooooove your videos. Keep up the good work.. ☺ I love German and Germany too.. I've only been to München but I would like to visit Berlin one day. ☺️ Viel spaß! 👍🏽
The Ampelmännchen (traffic light guy) was from East Berlin btw! They've been mixing the Eastern and Western ones though. I always get a little mad when I see the West Berlin Ampelmännchen in my East Berliner neighbourhood
"I don't know the man, but he does seem to be a nice guy on IG"...yooooooo!!! That's some 6 o'clock morning news material! But glad you had fun though! ♪♪♫
