Wow. With all the millions that went into designing that tractor, they made it that tough to change the belt. Should not say too much because I think I have to remove the steering to replace the belt on my Ford. I hope it lasts the rest of my life. Good camera work Dave. Got to love that green. Thanks Dave. You should do a video on the older ones. I have a John Deere 160 lawn tractor that was made in 1986. It's different underneath and it would help to have a video that was exactly what I have. It would even carry on to other tractors similar do it.
Hi John. Right these LTs have the most difficult belt change I've come across, that's why I thought I would do a video on it, hopefully it helps someone. Thank you my friend
Hello Dave. I think the problem from what I hear is that not one engineer designs things anymore but several, but unfortunately, they don't get together and discuss anything. They just worry about their part and nobody else. Then the guys put it all together in the end. I had to change a pull cord in my generator, I pretty much had to take half the machine apart to do it lol. You did a great job getting that changed. A job like that takes patience for sure. It's been really hot and muggy here this week. Take care.
Hi John, oh yeah generators can be the worst to work on. And you're right to many cooks in the kitchen when it comes to engineering but the newer JDs are a lot better, this one is probably 20 years old. Have a great weekend buddy
How's she goin'? Well now that was easy eh!! You could almost do that with your eyes closed!! LOL Nice job getting that weaved in and around everything Dave. Not an job for the faint of heart!! Take care!!
That looks more complicated than the drive belt replacement of my craftsman gt hydro drive belt my John Deere lt133 had to go to the ag Pro shop for the engine. Mounting bolts and the wires on the stater deli of
I noticed your PTO lever spring is missing and the lever is loose. Mine is doing the same, and I believe it’s even missing the pin holding the spring to the body. Will that be a problem or should it be fixed?
